Ah this place satisfies my asian buns craving. This place is also convenient if you want some dimsum on the go! Don’t let this place fool you! Even though it’s small, everything is fresh and runs out quick! Buy the buns by the dozen and it’s a little bit cheaper, just a little. They also have chocolate/m&m/ white chocolate chip cookies. it’s $ 1 a pop and they look hard. I wouldn’t recommend; stick to the asian goods. My favorites: bbq pork bun, pineapple bun and their shiu mai.

Some of the best BBQ pork buns(steamed & baked) you can find in Sacramento without having to venture out onto Stockton Blvd! In my opinion, the baos here are exponentially better than others I’ve had on the grid. Pork baos are most popular, but I also like their rice and chicken. For 2 bucks, you get a steamy chicken stuffed rice cloud, wrapped neatly with bamboo leaves. Try it! You’ll like it!

Best egg tarts to date. Delicious bbq pork buns. Worst chocolate chip and m&m cookies in history. Call ahead of time to reserve yours today! They sell out early.

How have I been going here for nearly 4 years and NOT review this place?! And so here I am, remembering to do so while I stand in this long Saturday morning line to wait for the best pork buns in town. The WORST thing that can ever happen is to wait in line and when you reach the cashier to make your order only finding out that they’re out of something you want. This happened TWICE to me, it’s pretty irritating but it won’t stop me from coming back. I usually resort to ordering something else. Their egg tarts ARE really good too! You can’t skip buying them when you’re there.

Best spot in Sactown to pick up Chinese Bao buns… I love the selection of other bao fillings other than pork. If you are feeling extra naughty, try the hot dog bao… super good. The prices are good, but they sell out of the other flavors quick, so your best bet is to get there early in the day. These guys really got it going on!

I was in the mood for a bao and a rice cake today and I only come here if my usual spot(Lam Kwong) is not open or nearby. To my surprise though, I learned that they sell mochi… coconut covered mochi. Yeah, I know, I was pretty wonderfully surprised too! Being the mochi-lover that I am, I was ecstatic when my boyfriend brought these to me. One bite and I was hooked! How did I not see these before? They must sell out quick and for good reason too! They are coconut covered and have peanuts and coconut on the inside as well. I will definitely be back for more!

I don’t come here often because I am pretty sure I would gain so much weight from all the things I want to try. But every now and then in the morning I will swing by for a hotdog bun or one of the various steam buns they offer. I have a tried a couple other bakeries and even some Chinese market places and can day this is my go-to. The only item they are usually out of quickly is the pork dumplings which say something ;) They also have cookies(big&small), turnovers, egg tarts, Jin Deui(sesame seed balls) The customer service here is not great but not horrible either. I suppose I appreciate the fact that they don’t fake great customer service just because you came in to buy their goodies. It would be nice to get smiled at and not wonder, «what is this Mexican doing in here?» But I truly do not mind.

Ventured around this area and found this bakery WOW steam and baked buns galore ! The menu has a variety so make sure you know what you want when it’s your turn to order. I was like uhhhhh :) hehe They also have a deli case filled with moon cakes, Apple turnovers, huge almond cookies and more. Buns are coming out hot and fresh, our steamed buns were a little cold but still yummy. They do accept debit with an added 85cents fee Huge parking and the lines are long Check it out My favorite: steam shrimp dumplings

Okay people from Hawaii… hopefully you can do a search in Unilocal and type out MANAPUA, you will find it here. They are the closest thing to manapua like Hawaii. They have baked and also steamed, so you got your choice. When I went in, I was in a rush and so I just got a dozen of the bbq pork buns. So much like the ones we got in Hawaii. CLOSEST. The place looks clean and I think its best to go when they start opening in the day. When I got there, they ran out of some of things listed on the menu. You can bet to get what you want when you are one of the few that walk in earlier in the day. So if youre craving for some… try it here. Delicious! Love it love it!

I’m going to hop on the bandwagon, join the crowd, and agree that this place has the BEST bbq pork buns I’ve ever tasted. As soon as we finished trying the buns for the first time today, my bf cheerfully told me to give them 5 stars and I couldn’t agree more! This place truly deserves 5 stars! I would often come to this shopping center as a kid for Kumon, but never noticed there was a bakery in the back. If I had known, I would’ve been a loyal 10 year old customer :) we were able to try the baked bbq bun,(they were all out of steamed buns by the time we arrived in the afternoon) shrimp dumpling, and Shu Mai. All were tasty and easy to love. We both agreed that in comparison to our favorite dim sum joint, abc bakery had better shrimp dumpling and Shu Mai . I highly recommend this place for bbq buns although I still have yet to try their steamed bun :) will have to come early for those!

Thank you Unilocal for helping me find this hidden gem! This is an awesome place for Chinese bakeries and dumplings. I came in at 7:30am on a Saturday and there was a long line! It’s a small little shop with 1 – 2 tables. Majority of people just order stuff to go. I got to witness a regular patron come in and the staff welcoming him and all saying«hi, how are you today Sam?» like they’re old friends. The staff were great with everyone but I love when the staff take the time to learn your name and treat you like a friend. I got to also see part of the kitchen where they were baking and steaming these buns. I can tell they were freshly made! And they all smelled delicious. The buns all came out soft, warm and had wonderful flavor. I’m no stranger to these kind of buns and was happy that the meat to dough ratio was what I wanted. I hate when buns have little meat inside, but these ones had a good amount! My only downfall is the assortment of buns. It’s not as much as other Chinese bakeries I’ve been to. But what they do serve, is amazing. I bought over 20 buns and my total came out to $ 13. I am used to paying about a dollar per bun at other places! This place is cheap but for really great quality!

I grew up eating dim sum in the Bay Area so when a coworker told me about this bakery I knew it was a must try. Located in a little strip mall off of florin you cannot see it off the street. The place is not fancy by any means but the smell you get when you enter is amazing. This place has a large variety and the pricing is so cheap! I was like a kid in a candy store when I was picking out the dim sum we wanted. Baked BBQ Pork Bun-My favorite! The bun itself is soft and delicate. It’s ever so slightly sweet but melts in your mouth. The filling is to die for and is so meaty. They definitely do not skimp. The size is large and filling. Hot Dog Bun-I have never tried this before but was highly recommended by a friend. I was good! It’s a large size and the dough compliments the hot dog well. This is probably a favorite among children. Steamed Egg Custard Bun-This was a pleasant surprise. The bun is steamed and its delicious. It’s soft and airy and sweet at the same time. The egg custard is out of this world. It’s thick and creamy but not overwhelmingly egg-y. I highly recommend you try this as it was amazing. Coconut Bun-This was good but not my favorite. The bun is the same that they use for the BBQ Pork but but they add a sweet sugar crust to the top. The inside was filled with a coconut paste. It’s sweet but not overly. I’m sure there are a lot of people who love this choice but for me it was not my favorite. Overall this was a diamond in the rough. I loved my experience and the food was incredible. I highly recommend this bakery for your dim sum needs. You really can’t beat the food or the price.

As i was sitting at the Walnut room(bar about thirty feet from this place) I started thinking, Boy i should eat something before i drink too much! Hmmmm Is there anything within walking distance? Then i suddenly remembered a bunch of «hype» on Unilocal about a bread place in this shopping center! I looked it up and sure enough it was in walking distance! I walked on over, opened the door and it smelled like heaven inside! Fresh baked dough! Yummy! The menu was simple and easy! It was cheap too! Fed my whole family for 9 bucks! Can’t beat that! We ordered 6BBQ pork rolls and 2 Hotdog bun rolls! $ 8.78 out the door! It even came with a smile and a plastic bag to carry it all in! I got home and had these things ate within ten minutes! Freaking delicious! I’ll be back for sure!
