Abrahams Construction

Well EXCUSE me for my project not being BIG enough to merit the attention of Abraham’s Construction!!! Talk about pretentious and arrogant. All I was hoping for was an initial consultation to remodel my house but Abrahams Construction dismissed my business all together for being too small!
Coming from a customer service background, I empathized initially with Mr. Abraham and how overwhelmed he was feeling. I thought, well it’s summer he must have lots of projects and could understand if he asked me to call back during the slow season. Such a response, in my opinion, would have been reasonable. Yet he didn’t seem the least bit interested in my potential business.
Based on how Abrahams Construction put their best foot forward today I am not recommending them at all! Their customer service is deplorable and I’m glad this already didn’t work out. I don’t want to be stuck with a team 3 months into a project that doesn’t appreciate my patronage.

Abrahams Construction recently did a series of unrelated jobs for us. They took down a wall and a closet to transform a bedroom into a family/​media room; they «refreshed» our master bath and completely renovated our master walk-​in closer; and in other ways worked with us to upgrade our home. From start to finish, we found them a delight to work with. Maura’s design help was extremely valuable and the entire crew was incredibly efficient and good at what they do. as well as fun to be around (since they almost lived with us for a few weeks, that was a real bonus)! Mark, Maura, and the whole gang also were enormously helpful in referring us to subcontractors (like a painter), who we also loved. All in all, two thumbs WAY up!

Wish this review could be about the actual work done but that would have required them actually calling me back. I was referred to Mark and Maura for a remodel I wanted to do on my land park home. I left 3 voicemails and sent 2 emails and never heard anything back. Very unprofessional.

We hired Abrahams construction for a larger scale remodel– adding a bathroom and closet, while also updating the existing bathroom and kitchen. We were very happy with the quality of work, the timeliness of the work, and the professionalism of the crew.
Mark was easy to work with, and very cognizant of our timeline and budget– a baby on the way made timing very important to us. He finished the project on time! Our budget was extended a bit throughout the process, but this is because we chose quality items and spent money on necessary costs in order to up the value of our home in the long run. We did feel like we were getting the best deals on items throughout the process from Mark’s connections.
I would suggest using Mark’s wife for a big project with a need for design because it would allow for a smooth process. We did not do this, and it caused hiccups along the way.
Overall, we would highly recommend Abrahams construction for a mid to large sized remodel. He knows Land Park very well, and kept with the look and style of our house to maximize our return on investment.

Abrahams did a fairly small addition/​remodel on my house. I have to say, I’m a fan. Mark and Maura are a husband and wife team — he’s the general contractor and she’s the designer. Since the addition was to the front of our house, we wanted it to look great. From Maura’s design to Mark’s project management and excellent crew and subs, we got exactly what we wanted, and it looks great.
Mark and Maura are quirky, creative types. and have their ideas of how things should be designed or done. Even though I got the idea that they weren’t really excited about our changes or modifications to the plans, they listened to us, gave us great input, and ultimately built exactly what we wanted. They also looked out for us by making sure their subs were charging reasonable prices for work.
If you have and older home with character, and want to keep that character through an addition or remodel, these are the people to call.
