Sherry was great. So very patient and made sure I understood everything before we moved on. She is very knowledgeable about all social media platforms and gave great insights on using the right one for what my needs are!
I will take more courses from her in the future!

Instructor Jim makes the classroom environment fun while learning Microsoft project he makes sure your not left behind and understanding the materials. Great class!!!

Just finished the Excel Intermediate class and was very impressed with the instructor and the course in general. Sherry O’Neal-Hancock was my instructor and she was very patient and thorough on everything. She gave us multiple ways to get the same result which I liked. The class went by very quick and I definitely learned a lot of skills that I can immediately start applying. I would definitely take another class!

Jim Slatton, instructor for Introduction to Excel was awesome. Very welcoming, personal and made sure everyone was kept up to speed and didn’t fall behind. I would recommend his class to others and look forward to taking Excel Intermediate with him.

From the moment you walk into the building you feel you are among profesionals. The receptionist and taching staff are top notch profesionals who truly care about you learning practical things.
I took the Advance Execl class and was impressed with the quality of the instructor. The seven hour class zipped by in no time. There never was a dull moment in class. There was so much practical information in the handbook that is took me many hours afterwards to review and experiment with the tips and ideas discussed in class and shown in the book.
It is worth the price.

Great instructor from AcademyX. Nolan gave the jQuery class. Best instructor. Moved the class along at a good pace. I got so much from this class, I plan to take more classes here. The staff always were helpful and friendly. AcademyX spoiled us with lots of goodies and drinks. I did not expect that. They are in a great location. You can walk to several great eateries. I loved my experience there.

DO NOT USE AcademyX. I paid for and was registered for a two day course for which I had to schedule work around, and they cancelled the class THE AFTERNOON OF THE DAY BEFORE. They then rescheduled the course, and again they cancelled the class THE AFTERNOON OF THE DAY BEFORE. Seriously?! I have to make arrangements and block out my work schedule and you cancel the day before… TWICE! Unacceptable.

Olen is a great trainer. He provided SharePoint training for my company and he was sooooooooo patient and thorough and is an expert in his topic. And you can’t beat his kindness. He makes his students want to learn more and feel good about their learning once they have left the class. I highly recommend Olen Sanders as a trainer. You WILL NOT be disappointed!!!

This is a great facility and the best money I ever spent on education. I learned a ton from Jim in a relatively short time — he is a very knowledgeable and entertaining instructor and I am now transitioning into a career in web design. I can’t say enough good about it.

I used AcademyX to test for an IT certification. Personnel were very helpful and very professional. Office is in a brand new complex and is very clean. I had the entire testing area to myself so there wasn’t a single distraction during my test. I will definitely be using these guys anytime I need to take a Pearson VUE based test.

Very friendly staff and a great facility! My work sends me here for various computer program training from time to time, so I’m not familiar with the pricing. However you can return to retake the class for free within the first 6 months of taking the class. This is extremely worth it, especially if you are learning a brand new program and need to go over it a couple times before grasping it! The instructors (especially Mark and Jim) are very familiar with the subjects they teach and keep the class flowing and entertained. I have never attended a class with more than 9 people, which is nice and manageable for the instructor. All of the classrooms have two computer screens per person, allowing you to view what the instructor is doing on one, while trying your hand on the other. They give you books with the information covered in class to take with you once you have finished, along with a certificate of completion, and all of the electronic files that you have worked on throughout the class, so bring a flash drive with you!

Attending computer training at Academy X has been a great experience. I’ve learned a great deal of new skills to improve my performance at work. The traning facility is very comfortable and professional. The computers and instructors are top notch. Olen Sanders is an excellent trainer! Olen keeps the training fun and informative, far exceeding the course description. The time in Olen’s class flies by because you are having so much fun!

My boss signed me up for the Intro to PowerPoint class. This is a 7 hour course and I was NOT looking forward to it. Sitting in a classroom for 7 hours is not my idea of fun.

from the minute I walked into the door, I was greeted by a very friendly receptionist who knew my name without me even saying it. Then he showed me where the bathroom, break room and where the classroom was. My instructor was Mark. He was funny, entertaining and VERY knowledgeable about PowerPoint. He was patient and stopped to listen to any questions that we had. I learned a lot actually and had fun. The 7 hours flew by! The office was also very clean… everyone had their own desk with two monitors. One to see what the instructor was doing and one for us to follow. I plan on returning to take more advance PowerPoint classes.
BONUS: Plus someone that worked in the office has a giant
German Shepard who is so sweet and gentle.

I would like to express my extreme graditude for the training i received at Academy X this year. I attended their web design courses and got to experience the whole suite of adobe design products and now use them all on a daily basis.
I found the materials challenging and the course and content were well paced to our class. We actually pushed each other and our instructor as well to cover a lot of ground in a few short months.
The greatest thing about the place is that it has a heart and soul unlike a lot of learning institutions i have been. Our instructor, Jim Santos showed more than just knowledge to us. He shared insight, offered opinions on how we could take our learning further and kept us laughing for weeks on end with his stories.
You can’t teach heart. You are either born with it or you are not.
So, I would like to say a huge thank you to Jim, JP, Jeff and Ken and also to my fellow students Stacey and Jen for making this endless summer happen. You guys rock.
I am sorry the one star review below did not have the same experience that i did, but dont just take my word for it.

Took 2 Crystal Reports with Olen Sanders, well taught class, nice learning environment and friendly, engaging atmosphere. Great BBQ and donuts as well.

They are currently helping with my domination of the known universe.

Academy X is a wonderful place to learn! I have been a student for Academy X for more than a year and half and I am very grateful to them.
This school is better than any college course because you get to work with instructors who have working knowledge in their subject not just text book knowledge. I have taken many classes such as Web Design, Captivate, Flash and will continue to grow my knowledge. My recommendation is that you check them out! Why waste your time in a whole semester class when you can quickly gain the same knowledge through Academy X.

In this new economy, computer skills are essential. I was downsized in January of this year and wanted to try something new. Since I was unemployed, Academy X charged me 50% less then their advertised price, just as they said they would. I looked into community college, but in order to learn what I wanted to learn (web design) it would have taken years. In just 3 months, I learned HTML, CSS, Flash, Photoshop and Dreamweaver. I worked my ass off and it didnt come easy, but I dove in and did it. My instructor was awesome and customized homework assignments to fill in the holes of taking such an accelerated class. If time is of the essence, AND your ready to work for it, this is the ticket.

my poor company sent a group of us to «Project 2007» class here in March 2011…
the teacher started late, took very a long lunch everyday and told us we could leave early both days! my company isnt paying for me to get home at 3:30…they are paying you to TEACH me until 3:30 beside having a fake C of C from this place they offered no real training…
This place was a joke… as one of my co-​workers put it «i wouldnt have come back for the second day, but i left my glasses in their lunch room»
that pretty such summed this place up… just go somewhere else please…

This is the place to obtain technology training. I took a beginning DreamWeaver class and it was excellent. We covered the fundamentals; it was hands on and the documentation was awesome. They also offer Intermediate and Advanced courses.
Although a little pricey there was real value here.
