Came to Anha’s for men’s shirt dry cleaning and laundering with one shirt needed in fast turn-around for upcoming business meeting. They agreed they could have it back to me by 5pm next day. When I came in to p/u the shirt(s), they apologetically said that they were going to be ~hour late as still off-site(as cleaning services are off-site). Due to other obligations, I simply could not wait. Unfortunately, I live FAR from this location & could not return before my meeting/need for shirt. Anha was a woman of her word and they delivered my shirt to me that evening! Incredible. They lost money in short term but proved to me that they will work HARD to earn customer’s business in the long-run.

I dropped my wedding ao dai(long shirt + pants) off to have it dry cleaned on Saturday. It was custom made by a friend. He told me to take it to any dry cleaner so they can remove the chalk marks. When I dropped off my ao dai, I told the young lady exactly what I wanted and I even showed her where the chalk marks were and she said«Okay, that’s no problem.» My MIL knows the owner so they gave us a little bit of a discount. I paid $ 14 to have my ao dai dry cleaned. They told me it will be done by Wednesday. I got a call today, Tuesday, saying I was only charged for the long shirt, not the pants. Before even asking if I wanted the pants dry cleaned, they told me it was already done and I owe $ 5 at pick up. Okay, fine. I will pay the $ 5 because they already did it. I thought it was very unprofessional that they dry cleaned it before asking, then demanding money. I picked up my áo dài today and it looks exactly the same. The long shirt still had the pink chalk marks and the pants was still dirty on the bottom. I pointed it out to the same young lady and she replied with«Sorry, we tried our best.» I told her I was disappointed because all the stains were still there. And she said, «We gave you a lot of discount already.» Then shrugged her shoulders. There was a really long awkward silence between us and clearly she wasn’t going to do anything for me so I just grabbed my ao dai and left feeling really upset. Final thoughts: I’m never coming back here again. I’m down the hole $ 19 with my wedding outfit looking exactly the same as it did before. I do not recommend coming here for your dry clean needs.

First time here, brought in my expensive jeans to be hemmed. She pinned my jeans and tells me «to have same exact thread as pants, its 3x the anount of the hem»… What! Insane! I didnt care too much but thats outrageous and stupid. When i called, i was quoted 6.95 for a hem. But when i went ro pay, its actually 7.95 because they are jeans. Ok, no big. She tells me pick up is friday. I asked if 9~9:30am was okay, yes she said. I come in a few days later at 9:15… They were confused, then asked if i could come back Saturday. Nooo… So, they asked me to wait 5 min… 5~10 minutes later i got the pants. Next morning, i take them out of the bag… One leg was longer than the other, sewn to where the sides were short but front and back long. Ugg. I go back monday to complain and she tried to tell me bull that because they were stretchy jeans they cant be sewn straight. Really? Had this done several times before. I can tell she wanted to argue with me. And i was being very nice. I came back the next day to pick it up, its better, but still not happy. Next time, I’ll skip this place and go where i know I’ll get better results.

I came here after my co-worker had suggested it. Mind you, this was my first time going to a place to alter some clothes I bought but have never worn because they were a little big. I’m very petite and I was nervous about taking them in because I was afraid I wouldn’t be happy with the results. But, as soon as I came in I was welcomed and reassured that my clothes were in good hands. The owner(I forgot her name) was so nice and that made it easier for me. As a result, I am very happy with the outcome and will be coming here for more alterations. :)

Anha is efficient, smart, talented and a perfectionist– everything you could want in your designer/tailor! I took my expensive saris and blouses to her for tailoring, and she did such a beautiful job on all of them. She does«bias» reinforcements for saris, and she knows exactly what shes doing in taking those«one size fits all» sari blouses and making them look like they were designed just for you. I was preparing to attend my cousin’s wedding, which had swan hansinis as a theme. She did a beautiful job in creating a hansini design on my blouse!(Hopefully I can attach the picture for you here). In summary, I highly recommend Anha’s tailoring and clothing design services. She does a fantastic job and I certainly will be going to her for all my future tailoring needs!

My beloved Alterations To Go has changed hands; sweetest-seamstress-in-the-world Lynn retired and gave the business over to her niece Anha who reopened as AnHa Designs & Tailoring. The venue is the same, the(great) quality of the work is the same, the new owner is also a very personable lady but unfortunately the pricing *did* go up. I just got a lined dress hemmed up a couple inches and it set me back $ 25. Hm. I’ll still go there, but I’ll probably only take the clothes I need for important events.
