I honestly never thought I could enjoy buying a car battery as much as I did at Auto Zone, and it’s all thanks to Lynn (hopefully I have that name right). He was the manager the day of my visit and his personality and customer service skills made a dreaded chore turn into a memorable experience.
It was the Friday morning after Thanksgiving and our car was dead as a doornail. It took a jump from a delivery van with a super-​powered battery just to get me to the shop a couple minutes away. I’d spoken with Lynn on the phone and he said come on down, we have what you need. He helped me pick out the best battery for my needs and didn’t try to upsell me. They even replaced it for free. The best part was while we were waiting, he and I had a candid chat about cars that turned into a chat about family, kids and marriage. Not at all what I was expecting, but a pleasant surprise!
The downside was the other employee, who, while seeming nice enough, basically ignored me for the first five minutes I was there and didn’t really do much at all to communicate or provide good customer service. But thanks to Lynn, I’ll be back!

Great costumer service!!! Leonard is the man!!! I was purchasing some snow chains and windshield wipers and just ended up talking for about 20 minutes. Wish there were more people out there like Leonard!!! Anytime i need some automative questions when I’m passing through to Tahoe, I will most definitely stop by here!!!

The staff is always so friendly, knowledgable and happy to help. They go above and beyond a typical auto supply store. I highly recommend this store!

This is the BEST AutoZone. The employees are very knowledgeable, helpful, and have great customer service. The manager and employees go out of their way to help customers. Would highly recommend and will be back.

So far the greatest Autozone I’ve been to, so glad they are in my neighborhood. Leonardo was so helpful and friendly, and so was Thomas. I bought a battery from them, my car wouldn’t start they installed my battery and checked it out and I was so impressed. They will for sure always have my business and so professional.

I really like this location. The folks here take the time to get it right. I had to buy a weird battery for a smart car and the guy took the time to put it in for me. Likewise, when I blew my themo in their parking lot, they lent me the tools to put a new one in there.

I’ve been this AutoZone 4 or 5 times and always had really good customer service, and that’s what this type of business is all about. I walk in, scoot over to the counter, tell them the part I need, and they go grab it. No fuss, no muss. One salesman was kind enough to put my new windshield wipers on my car for me, since the clips are tricky. They are also knowledgeable and able to make recommendations on certain items. Prices seem on par for most auto-​parts shops and cheaper than the dealership.

Why are they so cool and helpful here? I wish I could give them tip$ for their services, as awesome and free service like this is not the most common these days.
Also, great hours and great selection in parts.

My car started to act a little funny after our last big rain storm, It was taking a few seconds to start and I could hear a little grinding. I called Auto Zone to confirm they have the machine to test the battery and alternator and the man on the phone confirmed they did. I took it over there and Alexander took care of me from start to finish. I told him my issues and we were out looking at my car in seconds. Come to find out it was just a bad battery and not the alternator (thank goodness!). He gave me all the options for replacements and within 20 minutes of getting there my new battery was installed and I was heading out the door. He also helped me change the battery in my key fob that had just died. THANK YOU SO MUCH ALEXANDER!!! I will be coming here for all my car issues now!

WOW! The battery to my car died and I ended up walking almost 2 miles to this location to purchase a new one. When the store clerks found out I had walked there, they refused to let me lug the battery back to my car and gave me a ride, as well as installing the new battery! They even refunded some money back to me when they found out I was military. Thanks AutoZone!

Helpful staff. The only problem is it’s a very small store and has limited stick. Ok it you looking for something not specific.

So I rolled into this autozone’s parking lot with my car and they not only had the repair manual for it, but they also helped me fix what was wrong with it in the parking lot (it was small), educated me about the car, and identified something else that needed fixing. Leonard and Adrian, you guys saved me a lot of time and stress. You guys rock.

I have always had great customer care at this location, and I have always stopped here first for my car needs. Today, I had to call to confirm two dates of previous purchases. I spoke to the same raspy-​voiced manager each time.
In the morning, his idea of customer care included the phrase, «Let me tell you again…[word-for-word explanation which I had apparently misunderstood the first time]». As a teacher, I have to explain the same things multiple times. Do I repeat them word-​for-​word? Is this effective? Is it polite? Do I make my students aware that I have already gone over it?
This afternoon, I had to call back. *Groan* The counter clerk did not know how to access the information I needed, so she called the manager over to help with my request. Same guy. His idea of customer service this time was to make me feel as if I was an inconvenience. I needed to clarify which part he was detailing the information of and his response was, «if you would let me finish…» Apparently, I did not know he was still reading records. Phone conversations can be like that. Customer service should not be.
Man-​splaining and general attitude are tacky. Get over your issues with women if you want women to spend their money there. Also, just get over your issues with women.

Only place I will shop for auto part needs.
My three-​week old baby had just stopped her meltdown when I drove into the parking lot. I called from the car. Thomas came to the curb, assessed my need, charged me and installed the part without my having to move the baby. Not sure customer service can get better than this.

Stopped into Auto Zone in E Sac on July 10 just to get an air filter. Not only were they helpful, but they helped me install the new air filter and cabin air filter AND offered to check and charge my battery at no charge.
I didn’t know an auto parts store could be so helpful. I will be returning, as they were so helpful and knowledgeable!

I had a broken tail light and had no idea what kind of bulb to get or how to fix it. Leonard, the store manager, saw my pathetic confusion and took pity on me. He was so helpful, polite, and took the time to replace the bulb for me. Best customer service anyone could ask for.

Hmm. Sadly, I did not experience the great customer service that others have lauded. I went here a few days ago to pick up a few fuses, and one of the cashiers screams into the back as I walk up to the register, «_​_​_​_​_​_​! I’m going outside for a second. Can you watch the reg?»
No response.
She looks at the five people in line, walks outside, and starts drinking a coke, while also legitimately helping with someone who needed wiper blades.
We wait.
And wait.
And wait.
I poke my head towards the back, «Excuse me? Hey, there’s people here, can we get rung up?»
No response.
I call the lady’s name, and ask again. Nope.
Everyone in line is looking at each other, sighing and rolling their eyes. One guy looked at me and shook his head.
About 10 minutes afterwards, I walk outside, politely asked, «hey can we get rung up, please?»
The cashier walked right back in, to her credit, but again shouts back to another coworker, «Hey there’s people here.»
Yes. Yes there are. Coworker came up front, red-​cheeked, and said, «What?» while smacking her gum.
I was rung up. I thanked her, left and walked out.
I don’t expect *great* customer service, but I don’t expect someone to look at a line and walk out the door with a cursory shout to the back room. Seriously?
I know where not to go now.

Customer service here is very good. I lost the cap to my oil, yes I know, so I went in to get a new one. Told the guy the make & model and had a replacement one for much cheaper than the dealer would have charged me.
It’s conveniently located in East Sac, so if you have a minor issue that you can correct, but need the parts, you could probably walk there.

This location is near so I would say GREAT!!! Staff very helpful and they even install your windshield wipers if you need help with that.
