Walking home from the gym no cars in sight except one, after all it was 7am. I got halfway across the street before the «Walk» sign turned to «Don’t Walk». Just then my ears were assaulted (and I’m sure some of my sleepy neighbors’s awoken) by Mr. CHP on the a loud speaker sarcastically telling me «Well you might as well go… And that I should care more about my own safety.»
I guess the FACT that I didn’t walk was actually lost on him.
Thanks for the «professionalism and courtesy» officer. *insert obligatory donut remark here* you guys have GOT to do better.

At approximately 11:00am, I was driving from Lodi to Fairfield on the 99 FWY N. I was in the middle lane going about 68mph, literally. Just read my odometer for some reason. I was tailing a car and decided to pass him in the fast lane. I looked in my rear view mirror and there was a car tailing me too. So, I put on my blinker, accelerated and began to make the lane change where I would be much safer to drive. I sh#t you not, as soon as I made the lane change in mid-​acceleration, I look in the rear view mirror and the car behind me decided to make a lane change too. Then, immediately after that — like a split second later — I look to my right and I see a CHP Officer with his radar gun pointing and following my direction. He then points directly at me and motions to pull to the shoulder.
All this happened in approximately 1 min!
I make my way to the shoulder and immediately — as if he was on a highspeed chase — the CHP Officer zooms right behind me with lights and all.
I’m with my girlfriend, so as soon as he approached the passenger side window, she hysterically begins to plea our case. She meant well, but honestly, I was a bit embarrassed. I didn’t want the cop to think I was going to sit back and let my GF take control of the situation the was she was. So, I tell my GF, «Babe, calm down. Let me talk.» She stops talking and the officer immediately says, «License and registration.» My GF immediately says, «I just registered the car but it is salvaged so I need to submit a document and its done, so I don’t have the registration!»
The officer SAID that it was okay. I gave him my licence and proof of insurance. He went to is vehicle, took about 5 minutes, and came back with a ticket saying he clocked me at 78!!!
WTF was my reaction. «Did you even see the car right behind me. I just made a lane change and…» «I clocked you at 78. If you have any questions call this number and go to this website.» «
WTF! My response, «So, that’s it?»
Officer: «I won’t write a citation for not having proof of registration. Have a nice day.»
Of course I am mad as hell. But to make things worse, I GET A LETTER IN THE MAIL TODAY WITH A TICKET FOR NO PROOF OF REGISTRATION! It was written after we left.
What an ass. I had to write this.
The officers name was D. Troutman.
He was obviously apart of a speed trap because there were no exits after Laguna exit and he was as cold as ice and seemed used to our reactions.
Plus, I am a Class A driver and he didn’t care at all. I never got a ticket in my life. No accidents, nothing. For this to happen was a joke. He doesn’t deserve to be an officer of the law. People like him are the reason why our society doesn’t trust cops. They abuse the law, don’t care or take complete facts of situations, and think everybody is a criminal or threat to their lives or livelihood.
Re-​evaluate officers every year and make it mandatory for officers to take lie detector tests every year too.
