Dr. Chipps uses a direct communication style and answers all of my questions to my satisfaction. He also shows genuine concern by asking many questions and listening. He is a good clinician and is very thorough — he checks for allergies and orders appropriate tests for lung capacity and disease and/or infection etc. He is current on available medications and is able to offer me a few options to meet my personal needs when it comes to my prescriptions. His staff is friendly, eager to help, professional, and they seem to really care. The care plan he has prescribed has returned the quality of life to me and he and I both share the goal of treating the symptoms and addressing the cause for lasting health.

Terrible customer service — you call the office for an appointment and you have to leave several messages before they will call you back. The woman on the line is extremely rude and short– before you even say hello she asks if you have insurance. She demands a referral before you can make an appointment — just a nightmare dealing with service like this which is the face of the doctor’s practice. I decided to take my business elsewhere(Dr Miller’s practice) and got excellent phone service and what’s– more at the first ring!

Let me start by saying, I have never seen this Dr., so I wouldn’t know how to rate him personally. However, his office is horrible! I have been trying to set up an appointment for my daughter to be seen by him for weeks now. When you call to schedule an appointment, you NEVER get a person to answer the phone. There’s a recording that says the receptionist is on the phone and is unable to take your call. They ask you leave a message and they’ll get back to you within 24 to 48 hours! Really? It takes up to 2 days to return my phone call??? Of course, we had to be referred to this office as it’s a specialty clinic for allergy and repertory issues. My primary office indicated they faxed over the necessary paperwork to be seen by this clinic and I should be receiving a call within a few hours. I waited a whole day to receive a call from them and never got one, so I called the specialty clinic myself. I had to leave a message, like I said before, they never answer the phone. I waited just over 48 hours for a return call and never got one. I called back again, left another message, and did get a phone call back within 24 hours. The receptionist said they wouldn’t see my daughter because the authorization codes my primary Dr. sent over weren’t good enough to schedule my consultation appointment(mind you, this office never bothered to take the initiative to call my primary Dr. or me to let us know the codes were insufficient to schedule an appointment.) I called my primary Dr. to let them know the specialty clinic needed different authorization codes to schedule the consultation. My primary Dr. was able to get the codes, fax them over the same day, and told me I again should be receiving a call from the clinic within a couple hours. Of course, they never called me. I waited another day and finally called myself, left my message to schedule the appointment, and have now waited over the 48 hours to receive a phone call back. I have called back a second time, leaving a much more frustrated voice mail, and have yet to receive a call back. If you can’t ever get someone to call you back, let alone ever get an appointment, I don’t know why you would even bother to try to see this Dr. This is absolute horrible customer service. I have a great insurance plan and have had no problem getting the coverage to have my daughter seen, they just refuse to ever call back to schedule the appointment. I would never recommend this place! It’s just not worth the time and frustration you have to go through to ever try to get a simple«consultation» with the Dr!!!
