This bakery opened up last year right down the street from my house. I always loved getting the breakfast Panini but now I am in love the the BBLT. Gotta love bacon!!!

Found this place by accident about four months after it opened when I was looking for something other than fast food. Was happy to see that they had tuna fish sandwiches, my favorite, and I wasn’t disappointed. Took some friends there for lunch, boasting that it was better than Panera’s. I don’t eat out often but I do go back a few more times. Fast forward to May 2016 when I was looking forward to going back and having another great sandwich. Boy was I disappointed! The place has gone to the dogs! It was dirty, the iced tea was terrible so I tried a soda and it was flat. The tuna sandwich is no longer special, it’s just a typical tuna sandwich that I can make at home. It was so soggy that I had to eat it with a fork. I’m bummed and won’t be going back. Will have to find another favorite place.

First saw this chain in Walnut Creek, then the Natomas and Elk Grove ones opened up. When I think breakfast in Natomas I think of Waffle Experience, IHOP, Black Bear, etc. or GNC Kusina for Filipino brekkie. Waffle Experience had waaay too long of a wait and I ended up here after Sunday mass. The farmers scrambler(eggs, bell peppers, mushrooms, onions, cheddar) with potatoes and toast looked okay, not terribly filling portions though. I got the Anaheim panini, which has scrambled eggs, Applewood smoked bacon, avocado and cheddar on grilled sourdough. I took a closeup photo of it to make it «look» good, but I did not enjoy that sandwich very much, too small. I much prefer Panera Bread if I have to get a breakfast sandwich. Maybe if I had gotten the scrambler version of the Anaheim it would have been better. For the price, I’ll skip it. Not sure if I’d even come back to try their lunch items, honestly. If you join their Corner’s eCafe as a member, you get special offers, such as a free cookie, free bundt bite sweet on your birthday, free coffee, $ off, etc. and hear about the latest menu items.

Disappointing. The name’s a misnomer, as a «bakery,» if fails miserably. The goods offered are limited, taste like they came out of a can and have nothing compared to quality bakeries like Etorre’s or Bella Brue. The luncheon menu is OK, but little more than a step up from Denny’s and about the same as other chains like Applebees. It’s a step lower than Panera with better service. I’m a former pastry chef and baker. But, don’t take my word for it. Try it yourself. You’re always your best critic.

I work nearby and this is the usual spot where my team will go out for lunch. Like others have said, it’s similar to Panera, but the tuna salad sandwich is better ;) My coworkers usually order the trio salad or a pasta dish and it always looks super yummy. The location itself is in a large shopping plaza with plenty of parking. Inside is clean with lots of seating tables. Customer service is also spectacular here! Always multiple workers coming by to check in on us(but not in the annoying hovering way — they’re just really friendly and attentive). Workplace also orders catering lunches from Corner Bakery and there have never been any issues. I highly recommend!

I enjoyed my experience. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The food came out quickly and was as ordered. I didn’t order anything fancy: eggs. bacon, pancakes and toast. The order was more then enough to share with my preschooler. The pancakes could have been fluffier and it might have been nice if they’d had a none pork option for breakfast meat. Otherwise, it has a nice atmosphere, is close to home and priced reasonably. We normally have mommy and me breakfast at Panera, but I always end up having to order milk or chai(I don’t like Panera coffee). I really enjoyed having a warm meal with coffee for our breakfast outing. Will surely return.

This place is big and very clean. The staff is super friendly. I assume he’s the manager but one of the staff members goes around and asks how you are doing. The portions are a good size. Had to leave with a to go box. I had a green salad with a pesto cavatappi. Along with a peanut butter whoppie pie. The food is good. Would I say excellent, no. I would definitely come back. The staff was nice and the food is pretty good. *Side note, there is a table with a bunch of computer stuff. Don’t know if you would want to have expensive stuff lying around.

Very cool place to grab some baked items and a meal. I personally like the ambiance and it seems like a homely place to get some coffee and hang out with friends. Lots of baked item options can’t really say which item has been my favorite. Sandwich selection is pretty good also for lunch. Prep time can take a bit longer at times depending on how busy they get.

Came in at 7.10. Tried to order the berry almond Swiss oats. Got told it would take 10min to prepare. I said I’ll just have a bagel then. Then Waited 10 min for a bagel. Never again.

Whoever that said that Corner Bakery Café is a better version of Panera is on crack. Seriously? I hate giving businesses a horrible review and rating and I try to be as fair as possible, but I am extremely torn as to how to rate this café. First and foremost, the customer service here is actually really good and everyone is super friendly. There were times that I’ve ordered drinks and baked goods to go and the guy behind the register required me to repeat the order like three times. It was like he had short term memory, but overall, the customer service here has been great! Now as for the food, that is a different story. The breakfast that I ordered and ate at the café came out in a timely manner, but it was super bland and very plain. In fact, I make better breakfast at home. When I go out to eat, I expect to pay for a dish that is better than what I can make at home. The baked goods behind the display are okay. I thought the baked goods tasted a lot better than your grocery baked goods though. They had more of a homemade look and taste to them. The café itself is pretty big with plenty of seating and the place is very clean. The prices are affordable, but as far as it being better than Panera? No way in hell.

Great food, the salad was worth the extra $ 1.50 or so to upgrade. The manager said hi to me while I was eating and even offered to refill my water. Very nice atmosphere, not too many people and tasty food. I would return again.

Came in for a quick lunch. The place was clean and well kept. The amount of bake goods was great to see up front. It felt like panera which was very familiar. My sister and I decided to go with the soup and sandwich combo. She got a steak sandwich with broccoli cheese soup and it was OK. I got the chicken pesto sandwich with chicken tortilla soup. The soup was great but the sandwich was pretty bad. The bread was hard, there wasn’t a lot of pesto, and the chicken was dry. It was like eating shredded chicken Mayo and the works sandwich. The staff was great but the food was boring. I will try a different bakery and hopefully I get better food. Also it’s awkward seeing a staff meeting on the floor. Don’t they have an office? I hope this place gets better.

First of all, there’s plenty of parking even though it’s located in a busy plaza since Raley’s is there, along with Wells Fargo Bank. When you first walk in, you will be greeted by the cashier, which is always nice and welcoming. Next thing you will notice is the large dining area. There are many places to eat depending on what type of scenery you are feeling up to that day. I came in here and there was no line. It was probably because I came in here right after I dropped off my 3 older sons to school. Where to line up is a bit confusing so just walk towards the counter but there’s a little aisle way to go to so that you can line up. Don’t line up on the side or you may be missed and end up at the back of a long line. There are many options to choose from for breakfast and lunch. We(my 2 year old and I) ordered the bacon, eggs and pancakes combo with a side order of a croissant and a truffle mocha. The pancakes were fluffy and it came with a stack of 3. The syrup on the other hand was really, really, really sweet that I basically ate my pancakes plain. The eggs were scrambled as normal but there was nothing really astonishing about them. Maybe I should’ve ordered one of the specialty scrambles. The bacon was crispy but I should let you know that I was given the option of sausage or bacon. I opted for bacon for the little munchkin. He loves his bacon. The croissant was fresh, buttery and flaky which is exactly how you want it. You don’t want it tasting like it was made the day before and you definitely don’t want it to taste bland. That’s no fun either. The truffle mocha. Well, I had high hopes for this espresso beverage. I thought it was going to be my new go to drink. But alas, I was wrong. It just tasted like a regular hot chocolate to me. It didn’t taste like a mocha nor a truffle mocha at that. Maybe I received the wrong order. Either way, I didn’t get my caffeine boost as I had hoped for. By the way, in case you are looking for the utensils, they are located at the very right side of the wall from the counter. Don’t worry, you can’t miss it. Although, in case you do, just ask. Someone is always walking around or at the counter and they will definitely be happy to help. After ordering my food, the server guy was friendly and noticed that I had my crazy 2 year old with me. Instead of having me get up to get napkins and utensils, he went and got it for me. I was very appreciative of that. Most people would just watch me struggle, even though it’s not a struggle at all. I’ve done it before. He was nice about it and wanted to help. He didn’t huff and puff about getting it for me either. I really appreciated that. Based on the service, I would come back. The servers and workers are super friendly and helpful. I appreciate it when people go out of their way especially when you have a demanding munchkin accompanying you to breakfast

I was not impressed… I walked into the Corner Bakery Café with high expectations. I had heard good things. On the exterior, it looks very nice and clean. When you walk in, its a mixed bag. First off, when you walk in, there are either 2 seperate ordering lines, or no single defined line. We went for lunch, so it was pretty busy, and it seemed we had to fight for a cashier with the other lune. Everyone thought it was«their turn». While ordering, the cashier seemed either new(excusable), or to just not know the menu(inexcusable). We had to walk her through our order a few times before she got it right. After having a seat, our food came out very quickly, which was nice, especially since it was busy. I ordered the chicken caesar flat bread sandwhich, and bowl of broccoli soup. The flatbread was small, as in 3 bites, but had good flavor. I knew it would be small though, hence the soup. Unfortunatly, I have tasted better broccoli cheese soup from cans. Disappointing. The last area that I would critique is the manager and servers. They were great! The manager personally greeted us at the door, and came to our table during lunch just to say hi. The server also stopped by a few times to ask if we needed anything, and she was very bubbly and always had a smile. Overall, it was a mixed bag for lunch. The manager and support staff were very good(minus the cashier). The restaurant was clean and inviting. Portions were pretty sad for the price, and the soup was iffy at best. The biggest area of opportunity is the waiting lines. That really puts you off when you walk in. I will not likely return to Corner Bakery.

I wanted to order the corner combo which included half a sandwich and a side of your choice of either a salad, Mac and cheese, or a cup of soup. Turns out there are two different combos! There’s a breakfast combo and then there’s the corner combo. The person taking my order was new so she misunderstood my order and thought I wanted the breakfast combo. The whole ordeal took about 5 min to sort through as she was new and still learning where everything was on the system. Understandable. I ended up getting the half chicken pesto with a side of bacon Mac and cheese. The bacon Mac and cheese doesn’t have an extra charge so it’s like getting a little upgrade for free if you like bacon! Sandwich tasted great. Chicken was very tender and bread was soft and fresh. Wish the Mac and cheese was a little more cheesy. Tasted a little dry to me. But I loved that they added breadcrumbs to the Mac and cheese because it gave the food a little bit more texture. Also came with a pickle slice and a bag of chips!

Brought my husband here for his first time last week before a hair appointment at Hair Gone Wild. I had raved about the customer service to him that he was intrigued and wanted to check it out himself. We walked in at 11 and when we got to the counter, we wee greeted by George. We noticed that there were no breakfast items on the menu above the counter and George quickly pointed out that we could still order breakfast and that it’s available all day! Awesome! He asked if it was our first time, I told him it was my second but my husband’s first and he told us to mention it at the counter when we ordered. We placed out order and took our number to a table near the windows and the drink area. My husband liked the design and how friendly George was. I noticed Druhv(I finally got his name! He was just Mr. D in my last review) and told my husband that he was one of the people that went above and beyond for our son Sebastian. George came out with our breakfast and when we asked for cups for water, he offered to get it for us as much as we told him it’d be OK, that he could just bring the cups if he was busy with other guests. Such a great guy! When he came back with our water, he brought out samples of their cream cheese coffee crumb cake(I think that’s what it’s called) since we were first timers. While we were eating, Druhv came over to talk to us because he noticed the samples. He asked how everything was and my husband was quick to let him know how impressed he was with everything. That is A LOT for my husband because he is tough to please. They got into a good conversation about the establishment, found out that Druhv is one of the owners and his business philosophy/strategy. Great guy, and he genuinely cares about the customers and what they think. I went with the Anaheim panini again, same for the husband(he got the plate with potatoes), the pancake plate for our son as well as his go to cream cheese bagel. The pancakes were nice and fluffy and the syrup that came with it had a nice citrus note to it and wasn’t overwhelmingly sweet! Food is great here once again! After talking to him and eating more of our delicious breakfast, Randale came over to chat with us. He asked us how everything was and to let him know if we needed anything. I noticed that he had touched every table that had a customer, which to me, shows that he also cares about any patrons that come through the door. When he noticed that it was our first time, he told us to stop by the front and he’d give us a cookie to try. Who does that? This place does! We definitely took him up on that offer and my son was able to get a cookie from Randale. I know my son loves this place! Thank you Druhv, Randale, and George for another amazing experience!

Thought I would finally try this place out in Natomas. Came in on a Sunday morning around 10am… Wasn’t too busy. I ordered the Anaheim panini(eggs, bacon, avocado, and cheese) and wanted an iced pumpkin latte, but the lady taking my order stated they could not make the pumpkin latte iced, only the all the other lattes(Carmel, vanilla, etc.)…ok? So I decided to try the iced Carmel latte. Waited about 5 minutes for my latte. When it came, it had whip, and realized I forgot to say«no whip» because she didn’t ask me when I placed my order. So, I had them scoop it out. No biggie! After another 5 minutes, my panini finally came in my Togo bag, filled with napkins and utensils. When I got home, I was surprised on how small the panini was. It was smaller than a slider. It tasted pretty good, but literally did not see any bacon in it(it’s supposed to have bacon). Also, the panini was too greasy for my liking. The latte was pretty good… Not too sweet, which I like. Not sure if I would come back here. It was pretty average. 11÷9÷2015: Decided to give this place another try. Ordered the same Anaheim panini from weeks ago. It was a little bigger this time and actually had bacon in it, but SUPERGREASY!!! The salted Carmel latte was ok. Won’t be back… Sorry.

This place has been opened for several months. I wanted to check it out sooner, but I was hesitant because I felt it was another typical American café and there wouldnt be anything really worth getting. I come to find out that my assumptions were about right. Upon first glance at the menu, I realized this was a Panera bread-esque café style restaurant. They have breakfast, sandwiches, salads, and soups. They also have pastries at the register. You order from the menu at the counter then wait for them to serve it to you at your table. They have ample seating, inside and out. Its open seating so you just pick anywhere you want to sit. I ordered the Anaheim panini breakfast sandwich. The sandwich slices were very small — not the typical restaurant breakfast sandwich slices I am used to. They were probably even smaller than the Oroweat bread you get at the grocery store. The sandwich itself was tasty and grilled perfectly. We also ordered the half turkey sandwich and a side of mac n cheese. It was also pretty good, but the sandwich size was small because of the bread. If there was a highlight, it was the mac and cheese. It was cheesy enough, though more cheese sauce wouldn’t have hurt, and it has crunchy bits in it which added a nice texture. Overall, nothing really made a lasting impression on me. I just feel that this is the standard of how cafes should be. The cashiers were the friendly and the food tasted alright. Its pretty good but not great. Its a change of pace, but given other options I’d rather go somewhere else.

It’s a cute little bakery with breakfast and lunch options. I had the spinach and avocado flat. I wasn’t really sure what to expect. Let me tell you… the sandwich is tiny! It’s more cute than anything. I probably won’t order again. I think this place is great for convenience. The food resembles what I already know how to make at home. There are no frills to it. However, the staff is really nice, helpful, and attentive.

I’ve been back several times since the grand opening. Well I hate to report… for me, the bloom has fallen off the rose. Last week I went and placed an order to go for dinner. Bacon tomato mac n cheese $ 7.49. I also wanted a cup of coffee but the cashier had no idea how old the coffee was that in the dispensers. Since coffee turns bitter as it sits, I didn’t want to risk buying bitter sludge. So I passed. Than I received my order… I was befuddled by the serving size, it was smaller than I anticipated. Plus the taste was quite underwhelming. The pasta came with a very thin piece of panini pressed buttered flatbread. But I do have to give a shout out for the lemon hand pie. It’s still my favorite item on the menu. It’s a bit pricey though, $ 2.49.
