CR Moving Services

This company (and the two guys that moved me) were great! I had a «change in family status» and had to relocate to a small apartment from a two story home with heavy oak furniture and awkward floor plan. The two movers were punctual, took excellent care in padding and wrapping the furniture. They worked really quickly and efficiently at the origin location. And got the bedroom set down and loaded without issue. They did an equally efficient job at the destination location. There isn’t parking for a moving truck, and two residents had to leave. They were pleasant and respectful, moving the truck to accommodate the residents (important since I will be living here). I can’t believe how they actually got the furniture in the apartment… they were not small pieces. They took great care to not bump any walls. I was very explicit with them when arranging the move so they knew what to expect and give an accurate quote. They came in under the anticipated timeframe and budget. I would highly recommend this company (and these two gentlemen) and will seek them for any future moves I might do! Thank you!

I used CR Moving Services recently to move my in-​laws in Roseville and let me just say I am more than happy with the services they provided us! My husband and I (with the help of a few family members) would normally move them ourselves, but we have been so busy at work that with our hectic schedules, we had to call in the calvary and have professional help.
I was so skeptical with all the stories I had heard about moving companies, and had a few come out and give us quotes, but after meeting with Ryan, I was assured that everything would get taken care of and we could do as much or as little as we wanted.
Let me just say that I will never use another company! CR took such good care of us! To save money we decided to pack everything ourselves and on move day, the crew not only showed up on time (actually maybe like 5 or 10 mins early) but they called ahead to let us know they were on their way. They were very careful, as mother in law has various sentimental items, to handle everything with care. Not a single thing was broken, scratched, or damaged! There were a couple of pieces of furniture that were not only extremely heavy but had to be disassembled and brought down the stairs as well. And they made this look easy!
It was a really long day for us, but it actually came down to about a half our difference of the quote we were originally given. At the end of the day the most important thing was that my father in law and mother in law looked so happy and relaxed to finally be moved into their new home.

In response to the owner’s comment on 12÷11÷13:
This company obviously says whatever it takes to get your business and then the day of forces you to sign a «Will Not Exceed» contract. This legally allows them to charge you over and above their quote and say «Hey look, you agreed to this! You could have stopped our services at any time.» Right, as if you can just up and stop moving.
**It should be noted, my bill was not reduced to $ 428.00; rather I was charged the amount I was forced to sign the day of our move.**

I am writing this review of this company even though, unfortunately, I did not give them my business. I recently relocated between Nor and So Cal. I initially met with Ryan, the owner, at my home. He thoroughly investigated my house and made an offer. Unfortunately, I also got an offer from a moving company from Hell out of Bay Area, which I am dealing with now. I will likely end up paying this nightmare company more than what Ryan quoted me… so you know… cheap is really not cheap. In my desperation, I called Ryan for help and guidance. Holly goodness!!! If he was this honest, kind and helpful while I rejected his business, I can only imagine how he would be had I given him my business. He throughly explained my options, my strategy and what to do to deal with this nightmare company. He was on the phone with me for over an hour. In retrospect, I wish I had given him my business and I strongly recommend that you strongly consider this man. Please, Please, Please, do not fall for the lowest price… And, unless q moving company come to your house and give you a written estimate, chances are you are going to get scammed. That’s exactly what happened to me…

I used CR Moving services on very short notice due to another moving company trying to rip me off. I moved a 2 bedroom house. The guys at CR Moving were extremely professional and explained the entire process and pricing. What impressed me most was the price cap they put on the move so that it would never exceed a certain cost. I noticed that other places kept telling me they charged X amount after every 15 minutes over the budgeted time. It was comforting to know that if something happened with a time delay that I wouldn’t be overcharged.
The movers called before showing up and they showed up on time! They carefully wrapped and handled my furniture, using dollies, ramps, pads, shrink wrap, etc. They even took apart my big dining room table and put it together again at the new house. Further, after seeing that they were making rapid progress and had extra room we ended up taking even more stuff. They were extremely honest, polite, and professional. I would totally recommend them to anybody considering hiring a mover.
I had so many coworkers and people telling me to hire some labor guys from Craigslist or find some college kids. But then what? I still had to go get the U-​haul, get gas, pay the help, etc. For a little bit more $$ I did nothing and all of my stuff was insured by licensed people who know how to move stuff and NOT bang up my furniture or the walls in the house. Also, I chose CR based on the initial honest and positive impression and conversation I had with one of the owners. I had made a few calls and never received return calls or ended up talking with guys who gave me an uneasy feeling.
I will NEVER, EVER move my own stuff again. It was SO worth it to pay a reputable company to do the heavy lifting.
