WTF? First, if you want to see this, note that the picture on here is not this place! In order to get to Creekside Nature Area, you must park at Creekside Elementary School, duck UNDER the gate and hike through the baseball field. You come to a foot bridge where a sign tells you that this is indeed CNA. When you get in, there isn’t much there, a lot of overgrown vegitation(budget cuts?) and a small creek(was low/stagnant when we went) Nowhere to sit save one concrete steps to a portion of creek. D’Oh! If I hadn’t been«Mind Elsewhere» I would have taken actual pic… shoot! Sadly we did not see the flora/fauna Ivy did, and I’m a bit worried that my dog lapped up stagnant water! Yepl plz remove this photo!!!

I found a precious jewel and no one else knows about it. Well, its known but I’m the first to gush over it. This area is kind of hard to find. You have to walk over the open space of an elementary school to get to the entrance. Its summer now so school is out and my sister wanted to take her crazy dog down there to run around. I don’t recommend waltzing into the school while in session, to get here. There may be a second entrance but we didn’t walk that far to find it. There is a little babbling creek flowing through the area. The most gorgeous bright red dragonflies were flying and buzzing all over the place. The water is clear and not smelly at all. Since my sisters dog was running around and splashing in it and then shaking all over us it didn’t smell bad at all. Except for the wet dog smell. We saw a little frog jumping and swimming and a little crawdad looking back at us. We wanted to try and find a turtle but had no luck. This is a really cool hidden place in a pretty incorporated area of Sacramento. Its a gorgeous place to take your pooch’s to romp around in nature. I’m pissed I forgot my camera, but I didn’t know we were going to be coming here, otherwise I would have taken a million pictures.
