Derow And Sharma

Since my last review, the hems have started coming out of two of my shirts. That sucks!

Macys menstore downtown recommended that i come here when there turn times were long. they mentioned that they outsource some of their overflow work here and its actually cheaper.
I am happy with the work that they do. ive had suit pants altered here along with slimming a suit sleeves and pant legs. reasonably priced and i have been back several times to get alterations done on multiple suits.

Sharma does great alteration work at incredibly reasonable prices. He is knowledgeable about current trends and styles. A lot of the suits he sells are brightly colored and seem as if they might be marketed towards pimps and stand-​up comedians, but don’t let this scare you off. He’s quite accommodating to those looking for a more modern or traditional look. I strongly recommend that you consider Mr. Sharma for your tailoring needs.

This small business on K Street mall is just about a block from the Capitol. I found them to be quite helpful. I went with my grown son to buy him a black suit in a light material suitable for year round wear. They helped us pick out tops, ties and a belt and kept the suit for alteration. While we were there they did two other simple alterations for others with no muss, no fuss.

I brought in a suit that was too large, and I was able to get the pants width narrowed, hemmed, and waist size tailored from 38 down to a 36.
Also they helped me tailor the jacket wayyy to loose and baggy to very nice fit.
Precision work, great service. Will recommend!
There is even 15 min parking right in front of the store.

I came here for a simple fixes on my pea-​coat. To my surprise, it was fixed in a manner of minute with great workmanship. As I waltzed along in the store, there seemed to be quite a bit pf suits, shirts, shoes, socks, and ties for sale. Everything could be alter to fit you. I cannot speak of the fabric quality or workmanship, but they did have some really nice dress shoes.
I loved the fast prompt service I received for my jacket. I plan to come here more frequently in the future to get my alterations done. Great service, workmanship and quality on their alterations and tailoring. Did I mention very fair prices? Yeah it is the total package. Next step… How can I pull off wearing that purple zoot suit they have there?

We went a month ago to have a suit fix and when we called to see if it was ready he hadn’t even touch it… because he noticed after a month that he couldn’t fix the coat. Why he didn’t tell us that since day one? Why he waited for us to call?

I’ve accomplished some shrinking of the gut lately, which meant I was wearing some David Byrne (alas, the young-​ins have no idea who I am talking about!) sized suits. Time to take em in.
I dug around Unilocal (where else) and came upon Derow and Sharma. What a find! They did a wonderful job of tailoring my pants and jackets and all for a reasonable price. I also discovered they have a great inventory of suits and shirts and ties and shoes and hats, also for a reasonable price. You can easily get a fully tailored high-​quality suit for $ 300.
They’re located on the no-man’s land of K Street. They are worth finding.

Funeral and need a suit? Come here and get a dark suit at rock bottom price. Even the shirts he sells are cheaper than everywhere.
We were leaving for a funeral the next day, and my husband remembers that his one suit was losing the zipper in the pants. We dropped by the chain store suit shop and were dismayed at the cost of suits, and resolved to just get the zipper repaired by a tailor.
DeRow and Sharma sold us a suit, did the alterations, and replaced the zipper in the other suit for $ 170 less than the chain store suit shop, and had all of the tailoring done before we left on the plane the next morning.
I have a feeling that this is how tailoring a suit selling is supposed to happen.

I’ve purchased 7 suits and had 13 of my own tailored here and because of the compliments and resulting confidence I get at work everyday, I am a lifelong investor in Mr. Sharma.

I’ve also had great service from DeRow & Sharma on my suits and jackets. At first they weren’t 100% sure if they would be able to replicate a hidden button feature on the jacket sleeves I had but surprisingly he was able to replicate the hidden button with no problems. It probably took him a while to get it done but I’m glad he took the time.

Before you go to any other place to look for suits, PLEASE visit this place first. You will kick yourself for spending more for CUSTOM TAILORED suits. Forget men’s warehouse and George Zimmerman. This place has better values — I GUARANTEE IT. Find a suit at this place and ALTERATIONS are included! Can’t beat that. Seriously.

I have been in here several times, and always been treated very well. The service is old world excellent.
Let me explain. I’m a kinda big, ugly, tattooed hooligan-​looking character, not the type of guy you’d normally see when you’re out a-​shoppin’ for a suit. The old Indian (?) fella who runs the place always remembers me, and is very friendly and professional, never condescending or disbelieving like I sometimes get in other places. He obviously believes in good customer service, which is what I meant by old world excellent service.
When I called him today at 5:15 to see what time he closed, he said he was already closed, and then asked me where I was. When I replied that I live just a block or so over, he said «come on over then!» So, I walked over, and he let me in. I felt like honest-​to-​god VIP customer sneaking past the steel gates already closed over the glass doors, and in spite of it being after normal business hours, I didn’t feel rushed at all. He fitted me for a spiffy new suit, helped me pick out a couple of shirts, and when I thanked him for sticking around, he said it was no big deal, that he rode the bus to work, and would just take the next bus home. Kickass.
Admittedly, the selection can be a little crazy — some of the suits and shoes are pretty over the top — crazy-​colored, garish outfits that I would expect to see on an abnormally well-​dressed clown, or maybe a pimp, but there’s usually a good selection of more conservative stuff too. I like basic black suits with a classic cut, and they’ve definitely got these. Lots of shirts, ties, belts, and sort of thing as well. Great place. The extremely good service puts every other clothier I’ve been in to shame, so I really have no reason to go anywhere else any more, and lucky me, it’s a block from my place!
