Dickey’s Barbecue Pit

Customer service was amazing! Richard is the most thorough person that has ever helped me probably anywhere. He let us taste test, explains very through ugly the ounces for the plates, and was very knowledgable with everything this place has to offer. We appreciate the thoroughness Richard! I’ve been so a Dickeys once before and wasn’t to excited about coming back and Richard completely changed my mind about the restaurant.

My husband and I have been on a BBQ craze lately. We thought we would stop by our local Dickey’s. Dickey’s did not disappoint. The ribs were perfect and the staff were über friendly. It’s also a great place to take our 3 year old, since the environment is family friendly. Thanks for an amazing dinner Dickey’s.

Real good bbq, really fast. Build your own meals, or classic meals available. Really good sandwiches as well. They do serve beer, which is always a plus in my book. Lots of sides to choose from. Good for catering as well.

Dropped by for a quick lunch and grabbed one of the daily specials. For $ 12 bucks it was a pretty solid serving of ribs with a couple sides and a drink. Service was excellent, Richard was super friendly and patient while I meandered through the menu options. Oh, also… Free soft serve!!!

We looooooove this place!!! The 2 meat plate is what I always get because I am usually starving when I go there. Their pulled pork is tender, NOT dry and tasty! Their brisket is just as good. The bbq sauce is super good to dip or drizzle on the meat. The guys working there are always positive and ask how everything was. Free ice cream? Yes please! Our family especially loves to go on Sundays when our kids eat free. They LOVE going here! It’s one of our favorites in the area.

Customer Service skills are above and beyond out of this world awesome! The meats are always fresh and moist! This was my first time trying The Westerner, and for my meat choice I chose chicken breast and barbecue honey ham. The combination was amazing together along with the spicy barbecue sauce, it just set the whole thing on fire (figuratively). Whenever I think of where to get good barbecue, Dickey’s is the first place that comes to mind. I’ll always have a soft spot for Dickey’s! ;)

I was hoping for a great BBQ lunch, and was sadly disappointed! To find the entrance it’s hard to tell where 5 guys ends and where Dickies begins. After awkwardly going to the side door, I found the blacked out front entrance to the right. Upon entrance the smell of sweet smoked BBQ seemed promising but the front counters are really awkward, and the menu is placed weird as well, I had one lady in front of me, and she kept asking if she was in my way, no lady I’m just trying to see the whole menu! It’s my first time! Sheesh!
Was bringing the food home to my boyfriend to share with, so I went with the rib plate and added two sides bc I wanted to get a whole plate experience and was sharing.
I chose the loaded mash, green beans, Mac n cheese, and onion tanglers.
At this point I was excited, filled up my big yellow cup, full of the best ice (not crushed, not cubed) got a little soft serve cone to go! I was pleased, with the little cups the employee gave me for BBQ sauce, I was beginning to justify the 25 $ spent!
Then I saw two racks of ribs out that looked fresh and tasty, yet I see an employee pull out some weird rib packets from a heater thing. What bummed me the most is they were wrapped in plastic! I’m sorry but I have a sensitive palate and can tell if something has been wrapped in plastic for a while, and while eating them they definitely had taken on the plastic taste! Ew! Why not foil?
The BBQ sauce given was not able to help the lackluster ribs, they were very dry and very salty!
As for the sides, the onion tanglers were the star of the show! Delicious, crispy, fresh!
The green beans were terrible, may as well get a can of del monte at the store and save your 3 $.
Mac n cheese was okay, the potatoes were okay too.
Lastly I am giving my honest review of the food, I don’t appreciate a business bribing customers with a free dessert for a 5 star review! I don’t mind being encouraged to write a positive review if the experience matched. Or even an offer that can be used to check in. This is no means in spite of the 5 star bribery. The food just wasn’t good. At all. The only reason it’s 3 stars is bc the place was clean, employees were nice, onion tanglers were delicious and the free ice cream & the ice!

I absolutely love this place! It’s located in North Natomas near my home and whenever I’m craving BBQ I always order from here. Richie helped me with my most recent visit, he was warm and inviting when I stepped through the door. Not to mention the prompt service! I will most definitely be returning

Great! Service was fast and food was tasty!!! We originally planned on Corner Bakery Café for lunch but after waiting in line for 10 minutes with no help we left and tried Dickey’s instead. We were not disappointed! Thank you Richie for the helpful service!

The food is great. I have had better BBQ but it’s not like it’s really worth going into the details. The meat is really good. Go get some. I was going to give this place a 4 star. I felt that it was worth a solid 4 star. But there are a number of things that compel me to bump this place to a full 5 star. The drinks come in BIG plastic keeper cups. They give you FREE ice cream! The onion ring things are really REALLY good! They also give you a few special sauces to choose from.
Go get some. You wont regret it.

Good chain restaurant BBQ. The meats are good and well seasoned. They have a good variety of side dishes. The free ice cream is nice. Don’t go closet closing time, they tend to be out of a lot of their meats by then. All together. Good eating and good service.

I wanted to love it, but it was just okay. The spicy BBQ sauce was good and they offer free soft serve ice cream. Service? Eh. They forgot my order of okras, because it was still being cooked I was told by the cashier «they’ll bring it out to you.» About 20 mins later, we asked her and she was like they didn’t bring it to you? Umm. No. She consults the guys then appears at our table asking for the receipt because the manager wants to see it. He was the same one we placed an order with as the cashier rang us up. Blah.

This is a great place to go for BBQ if your in a hurry. Everything is ready to go and it is delicious the ribs fall right off the bone. And the service was very prompt our server Rosa did an awesome job helping us.

Customer service deserves five stars here. But my review is only about the food.
My husband and I tried it for the first time last week. We ended up sharing a plate because I wasn’t that hungry. When we received our plate I thought the portion would be a little bit more than what we got. The price wasn’t worth the amount of food. The taste was pretty good.
I did love the fact that you get a free frozen yogurt come with every meal purchase. But when I got my share of it it wasn’t as frozen or firm like frozen yogurt should be. It all cane out melting already.
Idk if I’d eat this again because of the portion size and expense.

The customer service is top notch! One Saturday night my lady and I went there for dinner and when we left she accidentally left her phone there.
Erica and two other female employees recovered the phone right away and when I called dickeys they have already stored the phone in a safe place. We were very happy with their customer service.
As for the food, my lady loves the rib plate and I love getting the polish sausage and beef brisket!
As for the sides, they have delicious waffle cut fries and deep fried okra!!!
They have inside seating and also outside seating. When it is a nice day outside I suggest eating outside!
Lastly, they have great spicy bbq sauce that I love to deep everything in!
They also have free vanilla soft serve ice cream!!!
Tip: bring your yellow Dickeys cup when you visit… It’s cheaper to pay for refill than purchase a cup and refill!

BBQ done the fast food way.
The brisket comes chopped and is probably the best thing on their menu. On my first visit, the pork ribs blew me away… for «fast food» Meaty and well smoked. Unfortunately not so much my second visit, less meaty and a little dry. The hot link is pretty spicy but not much flavor beyond that. All the plates are served with sliced raw onions, pickles, and a roll.
Kids meal are kinda hit and miss. Our second visit we ordered the «Honey Ham» sandwich kids meal. Dry ham, dry bread… munchkin wasn’t happy. The kids meals do come with a soda.
Large variety of side. Fries, onion strings, fried okra and many more. Two basic BBQ sauces, one mild and one spicy.
Seating is very cramped, I won’t not recommend a baby stroller unless you sit outside.
I did observe an employee prepare food and brought out fried sides to customers. This is nice but they have outside seating and the employee used her gloved hand to open the door both in and out then go back to prepare food… kinda scary. This is a public door.
If you scan their Q code and agree to their text updates, you get a free large cup for soda. You can bring this cup back on future visits and fill it for free. Free ice cream cones for everyone.
Ample parking in a shared lot.
If you want BBQ and in a rush, this is the place to go.
