I had a mastectomy a few weeks ago and was dreading the inevitable bra shopping that would follow. I went to Unilocal and found Enhance by Linda Reib. What was expected to be a nerve-wracking experience turned out to be quite the opposite! Linda, Heather, and Chelsea were all awesome! Friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and compassionate. Since I didn’t have a physician’s referral(I was a walk-in) I paid for my new bras out of pocket which didn’t faze me despite the high price tag. It was worth it! Next time I see my medical oncologist I’m going to see about setting up a referral. I look forward to shopping at Enhance again as the seasons change and I continue on my breast cancer journey.

I have been using Enhance since I have been in Sacramento. This place is just OK. I so miss my place in Napa«Family Drug» but since moving to this area I am using Enhance. I just picked up my garments again as I have lymphedema in my feet and ankles and again my order was wrong(feeling annoyed). Not to mention the toe caps are to long and go to far over my toe making the toe caps uncomfortable to wear. The proper measuring can be hit and miss and in my opinion the customer service is just OK. There has been a couple of times where my garments where never ordered and I had to wait over a month and this time only half of my order was ready and then I get two different stories as to what happen? One person says they didn’t come in and other person tells me oh we didn’t order them until you come in to make sure the 1st set fits. WTH? Then I didn’t get the colors I wanted. Since I have been using Enhance, I always order two colors one black and one neutral and this time I have two black. Then she tells me that is what I told her I wanted. NO it was not. If there was another place closer to my job I would try somewhere else.

My health ins. allows a new breast form every other year. I got my last new form in April of 2015– so not due again till 2017. Today I noticed a flaw occurring in it It wasn’t leaking or anything like that – but a transparent/clear spot was appearing on the backside of the form in one corner. I brought it into Enhance and they replaced it with a brand new form. Great customer service as well as friendly and helpful staff,

I can not comment on the other protective garments and prosthetics; however I found the burn garments I purchased to be completely of no benefit! Not to say this shop is bad, but the materials used I found to just not breathable enough and just uncomfortable when I wore them. It held in moisture when I would perspire and when the weather was warm or hot! I was told it would help the skin grafts to heal and provide additional protection in addition to the bandages right after my burn surgery. The staff is very friendly and pleasant, that is not what I am dissatisfied with in this review. Again, the garment and materials used did not provide comfort and actually was counter-productive because of the perspiration caused by the synthetic materials used… just did not allow much moisture to evaporate from my body heat under the weather conditions. Fortunately it did not cause body odor, just extra moister like wearing polyester in direct sunlight! So much so, I had to refrain from wearing the garment because it just became to unco

I have edema in my legs. Enhance has helped(through Kaiser) to get elastic wraps for my legs to help live with the Edema. They provide good customer service, and I will be returning soon for a replacement set of wraps.

Someone close to me has breast cancer. Because of the outcome of her mastectomy and her chemotherapy, she’s undergone physical changes that has affected her sense of femininity. Enhance’s goal is to help these women by fitting them in the correct undergarments coupled by a prosthesis… indirectly, I think they give some of that femininity sense back to those who’ve had reconstruction. They even have wigs in a variety of styles and colors, modified swimsuits, bath & beauty gift products, and even sports bras. The«special» bras they carry come in a wonderful variety… all of them beautiful… and can even worn by women who don’t need a prosthesis. I met Linda Reib, who’s certified in fitting orthotic and prosthetic devices. She enlightened me in the special care she and her staff take when it comes to measuring individuals with specific needs. They even fit those who have lymphedema issues and help those in the menopausal stage with«cooling» undergarments. Seriously, this boutique is awesome with their helpful, knowledgeable and friendly staff, and their purpose. They even take care of the insurance authorization… yeah, they take insurance. And so, if they can fit someone with ultra specific needs, I’m sure they can fit anyone!
