OUTOFBUSINESS: My children and I were so sad when we attempted to go for yogurt for our Thanksgiving dessert only to find that they had gone out of business. An unfortunate ending for such a quality business that was ran with integrity. I wish them much success!

The place is pretty spiffy– clean and almost the bourgeoise yogurt shop in South Sac/Elk Grove with its granite counter tops and almost Starbucks home feel that its predecessor shop left behind. They have a colorfully nice Mammut table/chair set from Ikea and book/toy cubbies to the left of the wall, which busies the kiddies should mom and dad want to have a conversation on the outside patio right beside it. Most of their yogurts were non-fat, which is probably the reason why its texture is less creamy than other shops I’ve had frozen treats from, obvious in their Pomegranate and Mint flavors. This holds true for their unique and surprisingly addicting Ginger Lemonade. Fruit toppigs did not go very well with these 3. I don’t usually like Peanut Butter or Cookies ‘n Cream, but they were very good here– just right. The Yellow Batter is good too– goes with ANY topping, any day of the week. They’re very clean here. I would only suggest they put significantly more signage up because if I were a newbie without Yogurt shop experience, I wouldn’t know what to do, or know how much I was being charged if I didn’t ask. And btw, it’s 39-cents/ounce– open S-Th, from 11AM to 10PM; and F-Sat, from 11AM to 11PM.

There are many yogurt places around our neighborhood. So while we were driving aimlessly looking for a new shop to try, we happened upon Gimme Yogurt. As we entered, a nice young man helped us with the«serve yourself» protocol. Which is typical of most yogurt establishments these days. The selections were adequate since I’m used to the most popular flavors the yogurt stores have to offer. They were all non fat which I appreciate. AND they also had 3 flavors of sorbet available! Although I was in the mood for yogurt at that time, I definately want to try their sorbets at our next visit! We had some difficulty getting to the toppings department because several small children were hovering around it. Of course this is no ones fault, just a little annoying when our yogurt is beginning to melt. But finally, when the children parted, we were able to get to the more fattening temptations of our meal. The great finale was to sit down and enjoy our desserts! Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!

Really love this place… enjoy walking here on a nice nite and getting a good cup of froyo. They always have a good selection of flavors and the fruit toppings aren’t frozen like at many other places around town. Staff has always been very helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend this place!

This place has the best selection of yogurt flavors! I highly reccommend the mango flavored yogurt with fresh blueberries!

When I place a spoonful of cold tart yogurt in my mouth… I get the cooling sensation that I’m on top of the world! At least… that’s the usual experience that I get whenever I come across a delightful Frozen Yogurt stop. And that my friend… is where it ends. On a nice Sunday evening after a date with my 11 year old godson, he decided to end the night by treating me out to some frozen yogurt at Gimmie Yogurt. Hey… if the little man wants to pay… let him pay! The moment we stepped foot into the store, I was hit by a blast of warm, stuffy air… uuughhh… gross! The staff there was this young woman and I think my godson was a bit enamored by her. The only size bowls they had… were medium and large. hmmm…interesting sales technique. The bigger the bowl, the more people have the urge to fill them up with food. The selection of yogurt was minimal, the selection of toppings mainly consists of one wall of different types of cereal and another wall of random knick knacks of candy. But mostly… what completely turned me off was the fact that for the syrup… they gave the option of corn syrup. CORNSYRUP!!! WHAT!!! Geeze Louise! I mean, I know that soda has corn syrup in it, and so do some candies… but to actually offer it in its syrup form? Gross… It was hot, it was stuffy, the toppings and frozen yogurt didn’t appeal to me and I quite frankly, I was a bit turned off. As for my godson? He loved the place. Why? Like I mentioned, he was quite enamored by the young staff. So enamored that he gave her a $ 3 tip. Hehehehe… typical

After visiting numerous fro-yo places in LA/OC and Sac area, this one ranks one of the best. Lychee flavor? I’m sold. The tart is pretty creamy so I don’t know what that girl was talking about. Free WiFi, huge tv, and awesome service. I’ll be back here for sure.

I have been to this place twice when I have had a craving for froyo since it is so close to my house. I like that they have a decent selection of flavors and that they rotate the flavors every week. The first time I went to this place I had the pomegranate and I absolutely loved it. And I like that they provide the ability to get half and half of their flavors. I also like the selection of fresh fruit and other toppings.
