Haas Ann, MD

Zero stars. Hypocritical, arrogant and spiteful. I went with my brother in law for a skin problem. She gave us no helpful advice and a prescription for steroids. My grandmother told us that. She was a waste of our time.

WORST experience ever. I went to Dr Haas for legitimate concerns about severe and sudden breakouts as well as hairloss. The front office was not only extremely rude when I checked in, but Dr Haas came huffing into my room and literally saw me for SIX minutes. She barely took the time to even look in my eyes when she talked, threw some samples of acne cream at me, then ran out.
Then, instead of billing my insurance (which I called beforehand to make sure they accepted), they billed me directly and refused to even contact my insurance company as they claimed my visit was cosmetic.
I would NEVER step foot in that office again.

They mean well but their process of elimination as to the cause of my acne is pretty terrible. I went there requesting to be placed on doxycycline since it seems to be the ONLY thing that can clear up my skin entirely. I have cystic acne with some scaring forming along my cheeks. I went back to get some more refills and the doctor said my skin cleared up because of some underlying «topical issue». She took me off, put me on Tazorac and my acne has been much worse since then. At most all I can do is use it as a spot treatment every 3 – 4 days because the medication literally EATS THROUGH my skin! It does not clear up the acne all on my face, back, and chest even when I do use it. I am unequivocally disappointed in these dermatologists.

Due to my insurance changing, I’ve seen Dr. Haas several times for Mohs surgery for skin cancer. I feel she is very good at that procedure, as I have had done with other Dr. s over the past 25 years and have a good comparison. She’s removed cancer on 3 separate occasions from me. On two of the occasions, due to the area cancers where removed the particular stitches that were used my body rejected and spit them back to the surface of my skin, and it was very sore and red. When I called and spoke with her and described what was happening, (very calmly and nicely) she was very defensive and came across extremely insecure, not only once but several times. My husband who is a medical professional came with me on a visit after surgery and witness her defensiveness over this issue. She comes across very nice on initial visits, but due to her inability to be nice and not defensive if a small issue arises, I will never use her again. Her behavior was inexcusable, especially for a professional. She made me feel bad for calling because I was having pain with a surgery site.

I have been to this office 4 times in the last couple of months for an intial consultation, a couple outpatient excisions, and follow up. (TMI? Sorry, it’s a doctor’s review.) Dr. Haas, the physician’s asst, and the nurses have all been fantastic. The girls who set appointments and check you in are a little cold — not really rude, just not the kind of girls you can make small talk with when you’re checking in. That’s OK though because they get the job done.
Overall, I am very pleased with my care at this office. Everyone seems to be genuinely interested in listening and helping, and they really seem to run a tight ship, in terms of keeping appointments on time. It is wonderful to feel MY time is respected in a doctor’s office!
I dock one (admittedly petty) star for the parking garage that a.) has tons of compact spaces (and really, I drive a midsize sedan, so I’m not asking for the moon here), b.) even with validation, you’ll still pay $ 1 per hour (or is it half hour?), and c.) it’s a cash only garage. I know these aren’t big complaints, but I just resent having to remember to carry cash to a doctor’s appointment for the inconvenience of swirling around the levels of the garage to find a still-​slightly-​too-​narrow-​but-​not-​officially-​compact spot.
Againg though, for the things that really matter — quality of care — this place gets my highest marks!

I didn’t see Dr. Haas; I saw a physician’s assistant for a full body mole check party. Good times! She was very thorough and personable. She removed one mole on my back for a biopsy and blasted 2 on my neck with liquid nitrogen. I appreciate that she said she will call with the results of the biopsy regardless of if they are good or bad. I hate having to wonder if everything is fine or if I just missed the call/​they dialed wrong/​my phone number had a typo etc.
There was no wait, in fact they called me in a few minutes before my appointment time. I did not find the office difficult to find. We took 1 elevator to the 5^th floor, turned left and left again and found the door of the office. For parking, park in the garage and they have a parking validation stamp on the counter of the office.
No complaints!

Dr. Haas was very friendly and personable. I didn’t feel rushed as often happens with other doctors and she took care of several issues in the same appointment. I thought it was nice that the considered the price of the prescriptions in her decisions and even gave me a coupon for one without me asking… maybe I just look poor, haha! Oh yeah, and she didn’t keep me waiting at all!

Dr. Haas only removed half of the keloid on my neck, prescribed a very expensive drug that was’nt covered and then sent my bill to collections for being 2 wks behind payment.
I’m going elsewhere.

Dr. Haas, and her staff, are wonderful. I’ve been in twice over the last two years for my annual skin check. Both times there has been no wait. The nursing team is very friendly and takes the time to ask how I’m doing. I’m usually in-​and-​out within a half hour.
Leave time to find the office though. The medical building where it’s located is very complicated so you’ll have to take several different elevators.
