Great for lunch !!! Chicken teriyaki panini /clam chowder combo and chicken quesadilla /minestrone combo were both very good. Friendly owners. Highly recommend !!

Though I’ve been to Old Sacramento many times, this was my first time here. Cute little café with a decent variety of food. You could get everything from a grilled cheese sandwich to a tamale. They have several drink options, including different coffee-based drinks and fruit smoothies. I ordered a cheese quesadilla, though there was nothing special about the taste. I wouldn’t hesitate ordering it again though. Relatively small on the inside and there is very minimal outside seating. Luckily, most of this food isn’t necessarily«sit-down» food, but rather«grab-and-go» style food. It’s also located right across the street from the Old Sacramento parking garage, so it is one of the first establishments you see. The best part was the price. Everything was very inexpensive. I paid less than $ 5 for my quesadilla. I’ll most likely come back when I’m in Old Sacramento if I’m looking for an inexpensive meal that isn’t a slice of pizza.

When I stopped in I wasn’t sure what I wanted to order and the gentleman at the counter started making some recommendations. Not only was the customer service excellent, the iced espresso was absolutely PERFECT! I got to meet the owners who were very personable and friendly. I will definitely be stopping by again. It’s hard to find great customer service like this these days, very much appreciated.

Ok. So here’s the deal. Food? Yummy and fresh. May take a a minute or two but the time is taken to get things right. My son was throwing a huge massive fit, in the middle of the floor and the owner Laura brought him and my daughter a pudding cup to help. Laura is very kind and personable. We had a situation with validation. Train meusum doesn’t validate by the way. RIDICULOUS! I ask the café in which we where eating to validate… sorry. No! Ok. I go next door and get hot dogs for the kid’s…validate? Nope! At this point I’m losing my !&#$. Laura came from the back and handed me a $ 5 dollar bill for parking. They validate with coupons now. No stamp. Confusing to say the least. Anyway, Laura took the time to explain the situation and more over she was kind and professional from the moment we walked in to order. Highly recommend. A fresh sandwich and friendly staff.

The shop is small and my fiancé and I were served warm beverages. The hot cocoa is from a box and the espresso was made from stale beans causing a bitter taste. I will not be coming back

We stepped in for a quick espresso drink and it was strong and rich! Great customer service! The minimum for credit card purchases is $ 5.00, or it’s a 50 cent charge. Just keep that in mind. So, it’s best to go with cash.

1 star because she was nice… but 0 stars for the food. DONOT get sucked into this place. Keep walking! The turkey pastrami sandwich was ice cold and tasted like bologna. BLT had cold bacon but the worst thing was the clam chowder, it was unfortunatly canned. You should honestly be ashamed of yourselves for serving this. Your obviously a family business. So where’s your pride? I just flushed $ 22 down the toilet and when we walked further there were so many more options…#touristtrap

Got the Madagascar vanilla iced latte 20oz. Really good. Workers were super friendly! They made my drink and asked if I liked it, offered to add more syrup if it wasn’t sweet enough. Not even sure how many pumps of vanilla I ended up having in my drink but super refreshing and delicious!,

Stopped and got my son a kids meal which consisted of a cheese quesadilla a Welsh orange and pineapple fruit juice and a cup of applesauce. The cost was $ 5.99 which mean where we are doesn’t seem that outrageous. It was a father son and the service was excellent they actually gave me a large quesadilla because they didn’t have any small tortillas and were very friendly about it. They do charge you if you spend less than $ 10 and use an ATM card which again I don’t think it’s a huge deal.

Very nice family — but not the best food/coffee. Wish they would put a tad bit more time in it. But I can’t stress enough — the nicest people ever. My son’s grilled cheese was soggy and covered with butter and my wife’s coffee seemed to be all milk with no espresso. The fruit cup that came with my son’s grilled cheese was one of those canned fruits — where everything looks like a peach and it is preserved in a syrup. No bueno.

1-courtesy star because it’s a Unilocal requirement. Warning: This café does not post their hours on their storefront. I have attempted to visit on 4 separate occasions at different dates/times, and the business is never open. I was especially surprised when I went during the Christmastime when Old Sac was hosting a large holiday event, and the business, once again, was closed. If you are searching for coffee in the downtown area-don’t count on this place to be open.

What a find! Good food, nice people, can’t beat the prices. In Old Sac for lunch — go here. Plus the coffee bar is huge.

Don’t have a bathroom, no free milk or half&half jar, no a/c, just a fan. Coffee — ok, nothing special.

Stopped in for a mocha. Nothing super special about this place. It use to be an old bar and they turned it into a coffee shop.

My friend and I stopped in to get a cup of coffee before we wandered through Old Sac. First, the service is great! Xavier and Alicia(I apologize if I misspelled your name) were very welcoming and friendly. And the coffee was good, too. I had their regular house blend(black) — smooth and delicious. We ended up back in Heavenly Brew for a quick bite to eat before heading out. Xavier gave us a taste of their menudo soup — not something I’d usually get, but it was pretty good! It was a soup kind of day, too, so it hit the spot. My friend and I also shared a turkey panini. Simple turkey, lettuce and tomato pressed between wheat bread. The bread was tasty and slightly sweet. It might seem small, but even the tiniest gestures of kindest are the most important. Thanks guys!
