Honey Salon

I’ve been in here a good handful of times throughout this past year as Shainein helped me go lighter in color with bayalage. She is great at listening to what you want and she will also suggest what she feels will look good. I always feel comfortable coming in to see her, and I even got my boyfriend coming to get his hair cuts by her now! He is really picky with his thick curly hair, and she has done a great job. She recently did my hair for a wedding I was attending, and she did an amazing job. Sweet and talented, thank you Shainein!

If you have blonde hair you MUST go to Madison. She works magic and if you have a picture to go off of she will get you there in steps that save your hair. First stylist I’ve ever had that can truly dissect what your saying (non-​salon terms) into the exact look you want!!! And she’s aaaadorable!

I have not received so much attention in years! I feel like a new person. Latisha took such good care of me and the results we amazing. My husband loves my new look. People I have worked with for years didn’t even recognize me. Would definitely recommend to my friends and family. Worth every penny.

In maybe November of 2014 I looked on Unilocal to find a Salon that could take me last minute and I found Honey Salon. My stylist at the time cancelled on me and I had to see someone! So I called and was scheduled with Liz! I haven’t seen anyone else since! She really listened to what I wanted and does what’s best for my hair. She’s really great at explaining things to me. I’ve never been so consistent in taking care of my hair. But I feel very comfortable with her and trust she will do a great job everytime! My mother and sister now see her too because they like my hair so much. I’ve never had so many people ask Who does my hair as I do now. And my hair is the healthiest it has been in a long time! I highly recommend Liz

I’ve been going to Lisa for about 9 years and couldn’t be happier. I travel all the way from Woodland to see her. My cousin found her years ago and I always admired her style and color and asked her for years who did her hair… I kept putting off calling because I didn’t want to drive to Sac but I’m so glad I did! As time has passed, she is now the stylist for 10 of my cousins and we all adore her! I’ve gotten lazy a few times trying to save time staying local but I always come back. There’s no one like Lisa!

LOVE going here for my hair coloring with Brittani. I had been thinking about doing the granny hair, and went in to just do highlights and she did a fabulous job and I receive a TON of compliments on my hair. Definitely going to continue my coloring with her!

I recently accompanied a friend to an Open House at Honey Salon (a few weeks ago). I must say I was very impressed and if it were not for the fact that I already have a great hair stylist who I’ve been seeing for almost a year, and who’s salon is less than a mile from my house, I would most definitely be considering making the drive to Honey Salon in downtown Sac. That’s saying something since I typically avoid driving downtown.
At the event I was treated to a complimentary ‘style touch up’ by Renee, my friend’s regular stylist, who I really liked. In less than 15 mins she transformed my bleh non-​style (hey, I’d just run a 5K earlier that day and was doing a ‘wash & go’ style at that time) into an attractive style. That alone tells me that this lady is talented and creative. Not to mention, I see her skill and creativity every time I see my friend — her hair styles are always well done and complimentary to her features and personality.
If ever I need to find a new hair stylist (and believe me, I’m tempted to stray), Renee at Honey Salon is definitely where I’m going.

Angie at Honey is probably the best colorist in town! I have several feet of curly hair and she makes my hair look like it belongs on a supermodel.
I would never go anywhere else
Honey is a nice salon, comfortable and chic, and all of the staff are very friendly. They have a great offering of products but do not try to hard-​sell to clients, they simply educate and offer.
Pricing is as expected at a decent salon, and you certainly get what you pay for when you are taken care of by Angie!

Absolutely the best salon in Sacramento!!! my hair has never looked so good nor have I ever received so many compliments… enjoying the Honey’s Salon party today… Shainien is my go to girl. If you want lots of compliments too… come to Honey Salon.
All the stylists are excellent and it is a fun shop. No «snooty» business here!

I have been going here for over a year and have never been disappointed. The whole staff is so friendly and helpful. I have stuck with the same stylist since I’ve gone there because she’s so fabulous. Lisa is the co-​owner and is great at what she does! I definitely recommend this salon and stylist.

I made an appointment with Madison based on her Unilocal reviews, and I’m so glad I did. I’m very particular about my color, and Madison did a fantastic job. She’s an expert at blondes, and she’s also super easy to talk to. I just moved to the area, and I’m so relieved to have found such a great local hairstylist on the first try.

I have gone there twice now and I love it! I just want to thank Liz, she is amazing and really understands what her clients want. The first time I went, I got a long A line and she did such a great job with it. I was in love with it. The second time I didn’t really know what I wanted but I showed her a picture and she was able to give me a similar look to it and I love it as well. Already doing an exceptional haircut, Liz curled my hair and made it look just flawless. I felt very confident with the look! I would totally recommend the Honey Salon and Liz. :))
Also, did I mention that she was amazing. Lol.

I see Madison and she is fabulous! I finally feel like I met a hair dresser who listens to me and does what I want. She also has great Input and suggestions which I really love too. She is very good and what she does and always styles me so perfect.
So happy I found her!

Angie cut my hair two days back. I wrote a really bad review about her because I woke up in the morning and to ME my hair looked like a mess and I was freaking out and the bed head wasn’t making it any better but my boyfriend spent a good amount of time talking me down and saying it looked great and it was just in my head.
Anyways I think my hair was fine. I’m just incredibly neurotic when it comes to my hair and if something looks a little off I freak out because I’m crazy. Angie was very nice and helpful and responded very professionally to my rude post so I would recommend Honey Salon. If you want absolutely perfect hair I would suggest going to an up-​the-​butt expensive hair salon like I usually have to. But for the rest of the sane population, this is a good place to go.
Parking is also nice. 30 minutes no paid parking nearby.

I’ve died my hair about 3 times before and have never been pleased with the results. My natural hair color is a dark, dark brown (Brittani called it a level 3 – 4) and I always wanted light brown ombré tips. It never worked. I always got a copper blonde that clashed terribly with my natural dark brown.
So about a week ago I went to a different stylist and asked for a full color of light brown hair. I figured that would be simpler and would get rid of the clash I disliked so much. The stylist told me we had to do it over a period of time and that we should start with bringing the light color higher up from just my tips. Since I trust experts, I agreed. I was incredibly disappointed with the results. Instead of a light brown, she gave me an orangey blonde in random portions of my hair. The front looked like I had really bad highlights (picture on left) and the back looked chaotically bad. I absolutely hated the results and went to Honey Salon hoping my hair could be at least restored.
Brittani took the time to explain the different options I had and made it clear that I could get the results I wanted in the first place. With some hope restored, I made an appointment with her. Today, she went over the different swatches with me and took the time to really understand what I wanted. She went to work and voila! Now I have completely light brown hair. Not a bronze blonde, not a dark brown, but actually a light brown (picture on right).
I love the results and can’t believe I finally have the color I’ve wanted for about 4 years. I don’t think the picture does my color justice.
In sum, you can’t go wrong with Brittani. She’s really talented and will take the time to make sure you get what you want. I already have my next appointment booked with her!
