Taking care of our dogs is our highest priority. Dr. Beebe and Garcia along with the best staff around make our journey through cancer the very best it can be. This is our second dog through Vitamin C IV. The previous results were amazing for our last dog.

This is a nice, clean and warm facility. Friendly, knowledgable staff. They have a great selection of supplements and herbs for pets. We took our lab in for prolo therapy for his partially torn ACL (CCL). We were told he would be back to normal and would be able to run, play, and swim. Unfortunately, after spending near 2 thousand dollars on a series of prolotherapy treatments, he is now scheduled for a TPLO and has a fully blown ACL (CCL), something we were really trying to avoid. We have been cautious with him — leashed walks only to prevent bolting after squirrels, no swimming, tried to keep him mellow and he is not overweight. Perhaps prolo therapy works for some dogs with a torn cruciate, maybe smaller dogs, but I have to say I would not recommend this treatment. I would go back to this vet for other services if I lived in sacramento.

As a pet owner you always want the best for your lil one. And as far as vet care goes, so far this has been the best vet I’ve been to.
I’ve brought 3 puppies in twice so far, once for a wellness check and once for puppy shots. The staff are knowledgeable and will provide you with everything you need to know and more to make the best decisions for your pet. You never feel rushed or pressured to make quick decisions. Their prices are reasonable and you get a multi-​pet discount.
But never mind what I think. I give this place 5 stars because our puppies are actually EXCITED when they see their doctor now. I had to see it to believe it.

I am an absolutely animal lover. They are my family. I have tried over the years and even recommended others to Dr. Luna and Dr. BeBe; however, I continue to have communication difficulties with the Receptionist. I am totally a like minded person with Alternative Health Care but today was the very, very, last time. Over the years I have encountered difficulty with appointments, emails, and on-​going weekly care; today getting a Rabies shot. It is always their way or the highway. And on the way to the highway she wishes me a Happy New Year. Are you nuts? Little care for the customer/​client – customer relations? Non existent ! Instead of: It’s all about the base… this is all about the MONEY! Can’t get refills of herbs without vet appointment, can’t get rabies shot without a wellness check, can’t have on-​going established appointment time. It’s all about the MONEY! And I am the one with the problem. Due to the failure to communicate: I clarified my expectations/​checked for understanding over the phone and then at appointment, the rules change. Meanwhile, no care is given about the time I have invested, nor my animals, nor myself. It is all about the base… No, it all about the MONEY ! I will find an alternative that is genuine (caring) – office management and customer relations is absolutely the WORST! Oh… Happy New Year!

The care my dog received was great, she seems to have loved being adjusted. I will post an update to give more information later, but I’m very happy!

So, Rex has had a little hitch in his giddy-​up lately. He’s currently taking 10 Cetyl M per day to achieve his best mobility. A lifetime of rigorous training and being one of the toughest, hardest hitting, deepest biting, CHP K9’s that the department has ever had takes it toll on an old dog.
Today Rex went to visit the infamous Dr. Beebe at Integrative Veterinary Center. Rex received Proliferation Therapy in three legs, hips and knees. This consisted of deep joint injections.
Then, state-​of-​the-​art «Gold Wire» Therapy injections. 18 gauge gold wire was injected into these areas as well. Dr. Beebe lectures in Europe regularly and has brought this new treatment to our area.
Rex will return in 2 weeks for more Prolo Therapy. He will turn 11 next month! You may remember that we adopted Rex a little over a year ago after his original handler suddenly passed away and he had nowhere to go.
Some of his career highlights are a 90 kilo cocaine arrest as well as a $ 1.3 million currency seizure.

When my 11y/​o little guy had some bad kidney level readings on his pre-​dental blood panel, my conventional vet recommended delaying the anesthetized procedure and had me put him on a Royal Canin Corn-​based renal diet. Well, this is the fussiest dog EVER, and I’ve worked hard to give him the best of the holistic foods and was not convinced of the grain-​based food. Instead, I sought out some nutritional advice online, and Dr. s Beebe and Luna at Integrative Veterinary was the first to come up in my websearch for a practitioner who could guide me. I read every word on their website and was pretty enthused!
What a place and amazing group of people. They office is Zen-​esque/​Feng Shui/​Chi enhanced as you’d expect it would be, but Dr. Beebe is a pistol, and a refreshing departure from «Morbidly Mellow» vibe that alternative practices (human and critter) typically have. Dr. Luna is gentle as a lamb, very intuitive, and incredibly caring with pet and owner alike, and the Doctors and the support staff clearly have a unified dedication to their clients.
As for my fussy dog, he of course resisted the food I’d spent hours making (he’s more finicky than any cat I have ever had) but I figured out a slight cheat of a go around: I give him holistic canned (grain-​free) enhanced with fresh chicken and cooked veggies, and a small amount of holistic dry to scrape his teeth clean, adding the granulated Glucosamine /​Chondroitin I bought at IVC, and (Gawd forgive me) smeared about ¼ of a tray of CEASAR (Dog Crack, I SWEAR!) after I’d mixed the above it all together, as «bait» to get him to the food! That, along with renal support tablets seem to have brought him to a stable reading a few points lower but closer to normal and he is doing well.
And THEN, when he recently tore his CCL, I went right to IVC rather than to my conventional vet, in part as they had been treating him with laser therapy for arthritis; the kidney levels require that he not take NSAIDS so I gave the laser a try and it seems to be helping. Turns out CCL tears are a common problem but far beyond the ability of laser to fix! In the end I had to get her referral to an Orthopedic surgeon to do the most expensive but also permanent fix, and returned to IVC for post-​surgical Laser treatments that stimulate healing (with approval from the surgeon, who it turns out, has a mutual admiration society with Dr. Beebe; they once were partnered at a previous practice!). My pup LOVES those treatment with Miss Jenna, their Vet tech, and predictably dozes off on the table during the treatment, wearing his sexy-​cool «Doggles» Protective eyewear! Too Cute!
If that all weren’t enough, having started at IVC in response to that pre-​op blood panel that required we hold-​off on the anesthetized treatment, I was thrilled that IVC has a weekly Dental Service and Ryan has cleaned and shined my dog’s’ teeth 2x now, holding him gently in his lap on the floor, in and out in 15 – 20 minutes, his breath and teeth clean and lovely, without the risk of the anesthesia, and at about ½ the cost of the conventional dentals. If ever a serious situation occurs, I may have to do the anesthetized treatment, but until then, I appreciate this alternative option at much less risk to my older dog!
GO GO GO! These people are wonderful, and the calm that my dog exhibits when there goes a LONG way towards reassuring me that it is a good place for him!
Perhaps too long a narrative, but just a few reasons that we love going there, and I agree with other Unilocalers who report that taking a pet there has the added perk of making ME feel relaxed as well. The gentle and caring approach from all at IVC is I am sure a contributor to a peace of mind in both humans and animals that allows healing to happen unimpeded!
I have recommended IVC to everyone at the 2 dog parks we frequent, and am delighted to do so to all of you Unilocalers out there!

I love the staff here! I brought my unruly little pitbull for a check up and to address her separation anxiety and everyone was so patient and understanding! It’s so embarrassing to have a dog that misbehaves but they were so helpful in providing my dog with the services she needs as well as giving me helpful resources to address other concerns I have.

After a few months of limping and vet visits that gave no answers, I had my 12 y/​o dogs leg x-​rayed and discovered he had a bone tumor. A quick internet search got me disheartening results as it seems the consensus is osteosarcoma is a nasty one. Learning about alternative approaches after losing an 8 y/​o to cancer 5 years ago, I knew that I wanted to explore the options and made an appointment at IVC and two with oncologists.
My experience with Dr. Beebe was so positive, and I believed so fully in her suggested treatment plan that I started it immediately and never spoke to a specialist (I already knew what the conventional approach was and did not feel it was a good option for us). Six week follow up x-​rays showed no growth and no metastases, so we are still following the protocol after 10 weeks. My belief is to focus on what I DO want, and that is to bring my dogs body back into balance and have him enjoy the most normal life possible.
As a long time raw feeder, I also appreciate that IVC supports it and encourages people to make better choices in nutrition for their pets.
The entire staff has been wonderful, the office is very relaxing, and the treatment is working! As a pet sitter I am confident when referring my clients to IVC and hope YOU choose them so that your beloved fur babies get the best care out there

Our dog Levi tore a cruciate on one rear leg and injured but did not quite tear the other cruciate as well. Thankfully, he was an excellent candidate for prolotherapy. He has multiple issues, being large breed (Hovawart) and having spodylosis, mildly dysplastic hips, intervertebral disc disease in addition to the torn cruciate. The prolotherapy has taken my dog from hardly able to walk to running and playing again. He is only 7 years old in a breed that typically lives to 12 – 14 years, so this was a godsend. I would highly recommend prolotherapy to anyone with similar issues. Levi’s back, hips, and knees were all treated with prolotherapy and the difference in his mobility is amazing. I have been so please with the results, I will be getting prolotherapy on my own dysplastic hips soon. The staff were all kind, knowledgable and courteous. I can heartily recommend Dr. Beebe and her other Vet in practice Dr. Luna for all of your veterinary needs. Yes, Integrative Vet Care is more expensive but it is worth every dime and you save money because they do not perform unnecessary tests. Please note: the few negative reviews here are given by people who waited too long to get integrative care for their pets. Those of us who immediately sought out Dr. Beebe as soon as our pet started showing signs of a problem are all very satisfied. Again, I highly recommend Dr. Beebe, Dr. Luna, and all of the staff here.

I was referred to Dr. Beebe by a an incredible veterinarian and close friend, Dr. Tracy Sasher in Atlanta, Georgia. My girlfriend and I had found two tiny kittens near our house in downtown Sacramento that seemed gaunt and malnourished. As we nursed «Mo» and «Jo» back to health over the next few weeks the kittens appearance and temperament grew further and further apart and it became apparent that little «mo» was sick.
A few emergency visits to another vet office (that shall here remain anonymous) and it was clear that 1.) Mo’s kidneys were failing and 2.) not only did the «nameless» vet fail to care or listen, but seemed more concerned with constant testing (that we later learned were unnecessary) which emptied our bank accounts hastily. After a desperate phone call to a great friend, Dr. Beebe’s name and practice scribbled onto a piece of scratch paper sat staring me in the eye when I woke the next morning.
We made an appointment to see Dr. Beebe, worried this would be another money pit for us. Man were we wrong! Dr. Beebe was who we should have been seeing all along. They worked with us, and more importantly, for Mr. Mo, establishing a treatment plan that provided more results I one week than we had seen over months with the «other guy.». Mo is alive today because Dr. Beebe, without her we would have been forced to stop Mo’s treatment, which unquestionably would end his young life. Thank you so much Integrative Veterinary, the amount of love in our household would not be what it is today.

Kody has not recovered from his treatment and is still pretty lame although he did get better after putting him back on Metacam. the more i thought about it, the more angry i got. She, as a doctor, should have weighed the facts that my dog is a 13 year old 100# dog and pulling him off his arthritis pain medication might not be a good idea. Even if Dr. Beebe said ‘let’s try it but keep a close eye on him’ could have saved him from what he’s suffering now.

I was referred to Dr. Beebe by my vet in San Diego when I moved to Sacramento. I’m so glad we found her! My dog has been seeing Dr. Beebe for a little over a year (we’ve also seen Dr. Simko several times for acupuncture when Dr. Beebe was out of the country). I can’t speak highly enough of IVC. The staff is kind and courteous and Dr. Beebe is fantastic. My dog, Pepper, has had one health issue after another since we adopted her 2 years ago. Dr. Beebe doesn’t just treat the symptoms of a problem, but looks at the broader issues going on and figures out how we can address those. I trust Dr. Beebe 100% with Pepper, and that really is saying a lot.
I would recommend Dr. Beebe to anyone looking for a good veterinary office and/​or looking for alternative treatment options. On a side note, their prices are very fair for the services they are providing.

I can’t caution potential new clients enough about how horrible Dr. Beebe was toward my dog. She would muzzle him and have me leave the room while she put large needles directly into his painful joint. He would scream in pain and she told me my sweet little dog was just being a «drama Queen» After I told her he wasn’t improving at all and I could bare to see him go through this treatment she told me it wasn’t going to work because he had an orthopedic injury which could only be healed through surgery. She never answered my question with why she didn’t tell me this initially. I came to her because I had heard positive reviews, but since my terrible experience with how she treated my dog I have heard of others with similar experiences.
Keep your pet safe and don’t go to this business!

Dr Beebe helped us with the recovery of our bunny Pebbles. My daughter was putting the bunny back in her cage when she sprung out of her hands and caught her front paw on the cage — dislocating it. We took the bunny to two other vets in Roseville, only to be told it would cost us over $ 500 to try and fix her paw and there was no guarantee, but surgery would be required.
When I was told this, I was ready to just put the bunny down — for crying out loud it was only a $ 20 bunny and although our family loves the bunny, we could not afford this…
I went home and decided to look up other vets in the area that offered «alternative» vet care or like a chiropractor for animals, and was pleasantly surprised that they actually exist.
I emailed the clinic that night and received a call from the ladies at the vet office the next morning. I was able to take Pebbles in to see Dr. Beebe the very next day. The staff was excellent and fell in love with our cute little hopper instantly. Dr Beebe was able to have the massage therapist, chiropractor and herself there all at the same time and with a lot of over the top care, our bunny is now hopping around and LOVING her new digs on our deck!
I would and have recommended this clinic and Dr Beebe to my friends and family.
They are all outstanding and I can definitely see how much they love animals and will do all they can to make sure they get the best treatment possible!

Dr. Beebe helped my dog when no one else could! I have an American Staffy/​Catahoula mix and I learned that apparently American Staffy’s are prone to allergies. Last year my dog began itching very badly. I thought it was just fleas so I made sure he was current on his flea medication. Then a number of other problems began… his paws started swelling, he would lick his paw to the point of getting lesions, he had dandruff all over, was lethargic and he coughed with any type of exercise. The first veterinarian I went to diagnosed my dog with allergies, prescribed antibiotics and steroids for the inflammation-​this didn’t seem to work so she prescribed more antibiotics! After that didn’t help my dog, I sought the opinion of another veterinarian and the same treatment was given without results. I finally decided to go to Dr. Beebe even though I was skeptical of her non-​traditional approach. I couldn’t believe it, after several acupuncture treatment and being given a vitamin regimen to follow, my dog was cured! In fact he is now healthier than ever before!
The only downside isthe prices… the treatment options can get a little pricey. Overall I am so happy with the results, the staff at Integrative Veterinary Center is very friendly and this is the only place that I will take my dog to now!

I was looking forward to taking our dog there as the traditional vet had failed to heal her. However, when I called and got no answer so I just drove over there. The women at the desk, while polite were condescending — they informed me that this ‘should have been addressed earlier’. I said, yes, we did but the traditional vet failed.
The cost is high– $ 85-​$ 125 for an initial consultation with no treatment. After that it’s $ 85/​visit. No wonder it’s not on their website. Nor are instructions for getting an appointment. And they can’t see her for 10 days.

We take our 5 year Husky, Lyca, and our 6 month Malamute puppy, Toki, to see Dr. Beebe. The vet assistants were great and they are always so friendly. Whenever we walk in they always have a treat ready for our pups, and they keep the clinic with a very calm and welcoming air.
Lyca started Prolotherapy treatment for two torn tendons in her hind legs, because the tendons were only partially torn. We didn’t want to choose surgery because there’s a chance that it could permanently ruin her life, and if this therapy failed we would still have more options.
The treatment did wonders for Lyca. At the beginning in August 2010, Lyca was admitted to Dr. Beebe limping, in obvious pain and needing pain medication, and grumpy as an old grandma because we couldn’t allow her to run, jump or twist. By Nov 2010 she was trotting and happy again because she was able to go on daily walks again. The treatment did amazing things for her and restored her carefree attitude. It was very uplifting to watch her go to the bathroom like a normal dog, rather than watching her squat down slowly and in pain, with her knees quivering.
But because of a careless co-​owner, a jealous, angry and selfish ex-​girlfriend, Lyca had an accident that severed her left tendon and severely re-​torn her right tendon as well. The situation has been taken care of though, and legally the ex has been counted responsible for the injury and no longer can force Lyca through anymore trauma.
Lyca is still going to receive the Prolotherapy treatment, because it did wonders for her before, and she actually shows a lot of trust and interest in Dr. Beebe where as she shy’d away from the other doctors.
When we took our puppy Toki into see Dr. Beebe, he had gotten a foxtail stuck under his eyelid, and even though it took three of us to hold him down and keep him still, she was able to pull that sucker out in no time at all. When we went back for a check up a week later, she gave him lots of love and treats which only brightened his day.
For an overall rating, Dr. Beebe is VERY informative and to the point. She’s very easy to talk to, she’s down to earth with a lot of common sense and she’s very honest. She’s a wonderful doctor, and her Veterinary offers a lot of vitamin products that are not overpriced, I favor the Kelp and blueberries antioxidant powder, because not only does it have 70+ vitamins, it’s also a cancer preventative. Their prices on the Honest Kitchen Dehydrated food are better than buying it at a regular pet store as well.
I give the Integrative Veterinary Center 6 stars out of 5 stars. They’re just that good.

I’ve gotten referrals from friends that mention the quality care provided by Integrative Veterinary Center, and seen some local animules that have benefited from the «non-​traditional» methods of treatment.
SET-​UP
Of special note, the fact that they will do house calls is pretty extraordinary in anyone’s situation given either the fragile state of the animal, or the shut-​in elderly that I know.
They are the 2^nd closest vet center to my neighborhood and it’s nice to have this option for alternative vet medicine.
