I give 4 stars becuase our photographer Robert was AMAZING. He worked really hard at getting unique poses of my 22 month old son. He even stayed past his shceduled time to make sure he finsihed our shoot. There was a bit of a wait, I think close to an hour. Granted we did let a couple go ahead of us becuase we wanted Robert. So the photo shoot went beyond amazing. Then Robert had to leave so he couldn;t help us view our photos. But Alyssa was very nice and took her time with me. That was until Ebony came over and told her she had to learn how to close. Ebony was very intrusive. Instead of introducing herself and explaining she would now be helping me I was greeted by the phrase«ok what are we doing over here?» uh… OK so good thing I was just about done with my picture order so I didn’t have to interact with her too much. Alyssa wrang me up and was very polite. So for customer service I would rate 2 – 3 stars, be prepared to wait. But if you get the right photographer your pictures will be amazing! I got a 2 year membership and I will make sure I schedule with Robert everytime.

Did you know you can always print out coupons from their website? That’s what I did, I eagerly printed out my $ 7.99 portrait set coupon and had my friend make an appointment for me(I’m deaf by the way). She was put on hold many times so it took a few attempts before she finally made an appointment for my cute little baby(You can also make an appointment on their website… I didn’t realize that until later). Anyway, I was giddy with glee and dressed up my daughter. She was 9 months old at the time and it was her first professional photo session =) When I arrived, there was a line. My daughter was sleeping away so I wasn’t too worried. It was reassuring how I had an appointment since the others were walk-ins. I noticed the employees were very flamboyant men who chattered, giggled, waved their hands around like divas, and rolled their eyes when they thought no one was looking(us deafies tend to be very observant). Finally we went to the front desk and they directed us to the waiting room… where we waited, oh yes we waited, for one entire hour. I watched the men giggle and chat while my daughter squirmed on my lap. Seriously guys? You can talk about your nails later but I have a daughter who is getting cranky because she’s been confined to our laps for an flipping hour. When I walked up to the desk with an annoyed look on my face, the employee ahem’ed back to reality and said he was on his way to us(right, how conveniently coincidental). Well, the whole photo session only lasted 10 minutes. My daughter loved the camera and posed away, there wasn’t an awkward picture and I was aww’ing the whole time. The employee did a good job making her smile and giggle, he was loud and grabbed her attention. So I was impressed and he did capture amazing pictures of her. BUT when I showed my humble little coupon, his nose went to the air and he wasn’t that impressed with us anymore. Oh well(shrug) It took only a week before the pictures arrived, I walked to the front desk with excitement etched on my face. There was a female employee talking on the phone and looking away, so I was waiting politely until I realized she was saying, «Ma’am?!?» impatiently. I was caught off guard since she was still on the phone and didn’t have the courtesy to put down the phone first. I informed her about my deafness and she looked embarrassed before placing the phone down quickly. Anyway, pictures are cute but the customer service is crap. They are snooty and are mainly there to gab. I wasn’t that impressed and will most likely attend another JCP studio, can’t beat their deals I guess.
