Good food but everything’s really greasy because they grill everything in oil and parmesan. Don’t wear a good shirt to eat here. Also they don’t take credit cards and it is hot in the building!

There is just something about this Jimboy’s… its not like rest… Granted ive noticed that it is a little pricier than the others it really is great… Its in the hood and even tho the place is by far not new… it is very clean tho. My only gripe with this place is the lady who always takes the orders… she does her job, but god forbid if this woman smile… food is great ect just wish service was friendly.

Food good, location not the best, restaurant could use some improvement. It’s been a while since we’ve been to Jimboy’s and with a simple trigger from the Kings game momma was on a mission to get some Jimboy’s tacos! We stopped in on a Sunday afternoon for a quick bite of tacos. There was one person picking up an order when we arrived then a family of four came in after us. As always the tacos were fresh and delicious. The salsa bar was okay, didn’t look as fresh as usual. The tables could have used some wiping and they were pretty slow so not sure what was going on. Maybe we just missed the lunch rush or something. This Jimboy’s is getting pretty old. I prefer the newer location on Arena in Natomas but if I’m passing by the area and its not late at night it’s likely I’ll stop in this location.

Food was decent, Ive had better Jimboys but thats not really my complaint. Went to pay for my food and they only took debit cards with a .79 cent fee. No big deal. Guy runs the card and runs it for $ 15.00. I said thats not right, total was 13.00 and some change. He gives me the difference back. I check my statement and got charged 15.79 and a 2.00 fee. This will be the last time i eat your over priced greasy tacos.

The food is good, but the service is terrible. The employees give us dirty looks. They look as if they want us to leave and never come back. Great food bad service. They are rolling there eyes constantly. Decent facility nothing great. The requests for my food were perfect but need to get new attitudes

It wasn’t like the jimboys on 29th street that’s for sure. If you don’t pay cash you have to use their atm which you have to withdraw the closest amount over(my meal was just over 8 bucks so I had to pick 10) then they give you whatever the balance is back. But they charge you 79 cents to do that plus my bank charged me 2.50 so a 8 dollar meal quickly became 11. The taco shell on my bean taco salad was chewy a bit but everything else was yummy. I love that they have a Ms. Pacman machine!

I’ve been to this location over the past couple years probably no more than 10 times. This will definitely be the last. Shame on me for even coming here knowing that i’ve never been satisfied with the food. Unlike the Jimboy’s located on Franklin & Fruitridge, or on Elk Grove Blvd and again near Stockton blvd & Florin rd.(which has been closed)…the food hear doesn’t compare. The Taco’s are soggy and void of taste. Likewise with the Combo Burrito. Lacks freshness. As for the service, mediocre. On this day, there was only one person working the register. Gave the impression that she didn’t want to be here and lacked a simple smile. The type of person that you would walk up to, then turn away because they had the look of, «Don’t bother me!» Service, Quality of food & overall cleanliness of the place earned a well deserved single star. On a side note, considering the neighborhood of this location, the bathroom was pretty clean & smelled good. Surprisingly enough there was no graffiti visible. With that, I’m changing it to 2 stars for my review. *Only if the cute girl working the register was more energetic I would then give a 3 star rating.

I always come to this location, they always give great service and the manager is very nice! I love the super nacho deal at JimBoys for $ 5. It is always a good snack when chilling with friends while having a few beers. There is also taco Tuesday that is $ 1.25 for ground beef tacos(there is also cheese and lettuce in these tacos). I would recommend the cream cheese churros if you never had these before, absolutely amazing. The fries are also seasoned a Cajun flavor, that is really flavorful. There is a bathroom for both sexes at this location. This location also has a few beers on tap(Budweiser, bud light, etc) Tips: Make sure you bring cash, this location has a policy of paying over 10 $ purchases with debit only. Come on a Tuesday for tacos The super burrito is worth it.

First time here ever. No differentiation from taco bell beside having fish and burgers one the menu. This location needs renovation and tlc. Took myself a good 10 minutes to go through menu. It cost me $ 22 for a super burrito, super nacho, and 2 regular drink for the Jimboy experience.

Not in the best location, but great service, good food, fast, delicious plating, I came here for a fulfilling plate of Mexican style food, and the mission was accomplished. I recommend this place if you are going somewhere and need a fulfilling meal at a good price. Family friendly as well, small dining area, no outside seating, I would give it 4 stars if it had outside seating, even with the area, dress up the place!!! Dress it up!!! No décor whatsoever for a standard JimBoys which has eye candy to look at in the store to remind you are here for Mexican food, not just FOODTOEAT.

Wasn’t happy that they didn’t have a drive-thru. Customer service was fair, but the ATM deal was not what I expected. The ATM machine is at the counter where you have to withdraw a cash amount($ 5.00/$ 10.00 $ 15.00, etc a receipt is printed for the amount you request), present the receipt to the cashier who gives you the difference/change. Besides the $.079ATM charge(which was posted and I was aware of), I was also charged $ 2.00! My stomach didn’t have a good experience, either. Unless you’re familiar with this particular restaurant, I wouldn’t recommend it at all.

Jimboys overall has great food. Now, from location to lactation customer service can vary. This Jimboys is in a residential area off the main intersection. As I started at menu and was stuck between choosing the regular chicken burrito priced at $ 4.49 or the combo chicken burrito priced at $ 4.29. That threw me off, I asked the manager why is the combo burrito cheaper then the regular, his response is priceless, he says, «the company messed up, there is other mistakes on the menu.» Have you thought about telling them to fix it and not keep it up. Another kicker, they have an old school ATM machine that makes you withdraw cash in $ 5, 10, 20 increments, then they charge you a .79 fee, if you bank with Chase, they will charge you an additional $ 2. This company being a multi million dollar corporation and with technology so advanced now, these ATM machines aren’t costing that much to upgrade. Never eating at this location again.

Beware the ATM fee. Here’s the problem. They say it’s a 79-cent ATM fee. But that’s just on their end. They end up running it as an ATM withdrawal, which means your bank may charge a fee, too. Mine charged me $ 2. So for a one-person meal, I’m out the 79 cents from Jimboy’s AND the $ 2 fee from my credit union on top of what I had to pay. Here’s the kicker. I was charged 5TIMES for both the meal and my ATM fee! Are you kidding me? Now I have to go in to the credit union because when I called Jimboy’s to reverse the charges, no one was there to help me and leaving my number hasn’t resulted in a call back.

I always call ahead as they can get busy at times. Parents love this, so I pick them up some Jr. Burritos and their 99 cent tacos.. Decent though this is not the best Jimboys we have visited. I prefer the one on 28th st, or even Arden way. Something bout this one that is lacking. Parents like it so I go here for them. And bring cash. Their atm machine will charge you since they do not take credit cards.

Wish they had a drive-thru! But I can live without… however, wouldn’t go here after dark. Just sayin’… The counter staff was quite nice; the food is cooked to order, so it may take a little longer(hence, no drive thru), but it’s worth it. I scratched this itch for now, so I probably won’t be back for another six months.
