This Victorian style home in the Lavender District houses a really cool art gallery. There’s a cozy home-like feel as soon as you walk in and welcomed by a smiling person relaxing on a couch. There is art in every corner of this gallery in different styles and materials. Every time you come they have something new up by some of Sacramento’s very talented artists. There are some art that never sells like the cool but scary-looking shark sculptures with masses of sharp jagged teeth. Each room upstairs and downstairs have completely different styles of art. There are some wonderful affordable pieces as well as the super pricey ones all beautiful.

Neat little gallery with some decently priced original art(and of course some outrageous stuff). We checked this place out on a Second Saturday and there was a little bit of munchies put out and $ 5 drinks for purchase. The real winner was the pottery making demo going on outside and the overall friendliness of all the artists. It’s worth checking out if you are in the area, but not something I would drive across town just to see.

This is a great gallery, with wonderful art. They seem to go out of their way to help you and show you around. The location is excellent. They also seem to put on lots of themed art events. The Kennedy Gallery is definitely a” to do” on your list! And don’t forget to bring your wallet!

Just popped in here really quick to check out Sophia A.‘s pictures. The size of the gallery is kind of deceiving. You walk in and turn the corner, and BAM… there is a whole other area of art on display. On this particular visit, there were several different types, themes and mediums of art. I liked the feel of this gallery. Some of the other galleries downtown have a stuff feeling. This place felt more laid back and relaxed.

I have gotten to know many of the artists here since my friends began displaying here about a year ago. I always come by on Second Saturday to check out the newest pieces. The gallery itself is clean and boasts about 15 different artists. They have snacks and drinks available at a little bar. They are super very nicely located in the heart of midtown. Their hours are a little squirely when it is not Second Staurday, but people need to bear in mind that the staff of the gallery is the artists volenteering their time. If you have never been here it is well worth a visit! P. S. Yes, its expensive, but its beautiful, original art!!!

Nothing you will find at the Kennedy Gallery is generic. They are truly humble of how unique their collection really is. If walking around J street in Sacramento, take a quick second to browse the art work, and live in its vision. One thing that is unique about Kennedy Gallery, is that it shares access of its outdoor seating area with Headhunters bar and grill. So while you are enjoying beautiful artwork, you can swing on over, and get some delicious food as well. Sounds like a fun night out right? :D

Finally came here when it was open! They are only open on Tuesdays and for Art 2nd Saturday as well as the Art Première Thursdays(the open gallery night for REAL art affecionados). Fantastic space featuring local artists. I fell in love with a piece that was reminiscent of a Greg Kondos landscape: lovely hues of turquoise and green that reflected the Sacramento delta. It was $ 1200 however, and I mentally tallied up how much I could NOT afford it in my present state of current earnings. Paintings, ceramic pieces, photography, one-of-a-kind furniture carved from trees — you can find them all here. They even had a small glass case featuring wearable handmade paper flowers in hairclips. They have a liquor license and have a cool setup for pouring/selling wine and a very chic fishtank flanking the wall. It takes up the same amount of space as a flatscreen TV and looks so much better. I didn’t ask if they did layaway. I was oh-so-tempted to bring home that painting with me, but these days it is more important to put food on the table.

Love the art pieces unique to Sacramento culture but very pricey. A few sections and displays of real life photography didn’t impress me. I felt that I could possibly have done better photography on my digital canon camera. We were there a few minutes before closing and the employee bluntly stated, «we’re closing. Was there anything you wanted to buy?» Even if I did want to purchase art, I didn’t like the approach.
