The staff were very friendly and helpful. I needed to pick up some special items for my tea. They had everything I needed and it was really inexpensive.

Come here for your herbal teas… They have a wide selection… I’m just recently getting off the pain relieving opiates and were needing some alternatives to help with the withdrawal symptoms that my cranial receptors have been giving me… well here I have it… skullcaps, camomille, and passion flower, all packed inside one simple tea bag punch… So where else are yall gonna find such treasures… p. s. Drink enuff of this stuff and you’ll feel quite relaxed! Althoe not recommended for pregnant women… Have a great night y’all! :)

This was the place that introduced me to Traditional Chinese Medicine. I was going through a difficult time after the death of a relative and a new move for work reasons a few years ago. I drove down the avenue and came across what looked like Chinatown. That is when I saw this herbal store and communicated with the staff. It was real sweet of them to give me a free consultation with herbs and the Chinese clay pot at a reasonable price(~$ 50). Whatever they prescribed me looked like motor oil, tasted like epsom salt and smelled just as bad. At this point I began to feel like I got myself in too deep, but stuck with the treatment because I knew that I was not the only one who had to suffer drinking this concoction. I did not see an immediate relief, but as time passed I did get better. The good thing about Oriental Medicine is that it is homeopathic; you take it for a short time and only return as needed.

Brought 3 Brazilian senior ladies to Dr. Hing today. They left very happy and impressed with the care, service, and the overall feel of the experience. Dr. Hing was surprised to see how the cultures are connected, I told him more are coming!

Before the deluge of SF Supermarket and etc., there was this place and Vinh Phat. Oh and also Wing Wa and Welco. Hehehe. Ok what I’m getting to is that this place is traditional in that if you don’t want to take western synthetic medications to lower that blood pressure, ask the herbalist what he or she recommends and they will direct you towards what you should buy. This joint is highly aromatic in that my kid covered his mouth and nose with his hand because the odor was too much. I’ll never forget this one dried fungus, it looked like a male anatomy part. I asked the Chinese lady what it was for and after she spoke in Chinese as well as with hand gestures… I got that it was for«sexy.» This place has an old skool charm that it’s kinda cute. I’ll come back here if I need an herbal healing!

Another ancient shop alot of people remembered as kids. I hated the smell of the chinese herbs and the dried weird looking creatures that were in barrels sold in bulk. I never understood why my mom & dad come to buy lil fold up packages of dried stuff that stinks up the house when boiled to make medicine. This store is sells Chinese Herbs and other random groceries including live seafood, local growned greens, meats, and canned goods. I havent been here for a while but am pretty sure it consist of the same people and same items. updated. Beware of the strong scent of odd smelling stuff for those who havent experienced it.

This place is interestingly between two larger Asian grocer stores. which makes it surprisingly strange to still see this please; however, not surprising due to the fact that they sell a lot of Chinese medicine. My parents and I used to come here all the time for medicine and what not. To my understanding, this place has a very good selection of herbs and what not. Parking here is tight and small, be careful. If you are looking for more, this isn’t the place to go. Some things are cheap, but not significantly. I believe they also have a Chinese Medical Practitioner in the back which is interesting. There’s not much I can say about this place. Pros: Big selection of Chinese Medicine Cons: Parking Other selection besides medicine Neutral: Chinese Medical Practitioner in back Notes: Ocean King Restaurant is next to it.
