Kingdom Heating and Air Conditioning

We had Danny come out to install a new HVAC system (all new ducting and registers too) about 2 years ago. The install seemed to go very smoothly, but it soon became clear that the heater was not working correctly. The register are was just lukewarm (90 – 95 degrees).
This was a propane installation, and I believe that caused some of the resulting problems. No one on the Kingdom team seemed particularly adept at propane. Propane conversion should be easy, unless it’s not. And ours was not. Bottom line, it took about 3 months of on & off troubleshooting before we finally got a working system. To Danny’s credit though, he never balked at all the troubleshooting trips, and we’re not exactly centrally located. (Galt).
In the 2 years since, several registers have started to fall from the ceiling by an inch or so. Clearly they were only screwed into a joist on 1 side. It’s a little thing, but since they were cutting holes in the ceiling for the registers, it would have been nice to tack a 2×4 in there to screw the opposing side of register into something more solid than drywall.
There are several hot and cold areas of the house. Clearly there could have been some better upfront design work. However, the system does heat and cool well, and the SMUD bill says it’s fairly efficient.

Danny, the owner, is so knowledgeable. I received his number from a friend of a friend and he came out to my house that day to fix the problem a different electrician tried to fix the day before. I’d recommend him to anybody.

I am very hard to please. But I can recommend Kingdom Heating and Air to anyone with 100% confidence. Danny and his crew just finished installing a split heat pump system for us here in Rancho Cordova.

From start to finish I was totally comfortable with everything this crew did in our home. I had several contractors come out and spent many hours grilling company reps at my kitchen table.

Kingdom H&A met all of my requirements and installed a Trane system that works perfectly. The crew was very careful, attentive and great guys to be around. I trusted them enough to leave them here alone while I ran errands.
The city inspector that signed off on the final permit even remarked at how impressed he was with the detail he could see on the installation. Our new Trane works great and is so quiet that I we are having to get used not having a noisy motor kick on!
My overall assessment of Kingdom H&A is that they are just the right sized company to hire. They are not huge and not too small… they are sort of in the middle where the owner can stay directly involved on all stages of the work, but obviously have the buying power to give me a very reasonable and acceptable price.
Unlike several of the other companies I met with, Danny did not try to sell me any more than my family needed. Many of the other companies were very aggressive about up selling and really wasted my time. I have had to block their numbers on my phone.
I recommend this company without hesitation.

I also won the drawing at the Cal Expo. I was in need of an HVAC anyways, thus I requested an estimate and upgraded several of the features to really get what I wanted at a much discounted price compared to other offerings. I ended up with high efficient heating and cooling units with a variable speed, low noise blower motor.
We also included some duct work that needed repair in the project and we re-​used the Honeywell programmable thermostat that I already owned and which can be controlled remotely.
Kingdom Heating did an outstanding job with the installation. They are reliable, efficient, polite, friendly, stayed within budget and time frame. Excellent workmanship. It was a pleasure having them working in our house. Pressure tests by an independent contractor proofed the quality of work performed on the duct system.
The HVAC has worked flawlessly for now almost a year. I have the variable speed, low noise blower motor running continuously following set schedule and switching between cooling and heating automatically.
We highly recommend them.

I would recommend doing your research before hiring this company. We had gone to the Cal Expo Home and Landscape Show and entered the drawings. I was called and told that I had been drawn and won a High Efficiency Trane System worth $ 12,000.00. However that was not the case, they wanted to charge me almost $ 5000.00 for labor only. This did not include permits or inspections. He did not go up into my attic to check on duct work, which most likely would have been added to that initial amount had I accepted his offer. He also told me that I needed a new A/​C pad (which is not the case). Needless to say I had 5 other Trane dealers come out to my home to make bids, not one of them would give me a bid on the Trane System that I had won because 1. It was no longer available from Trane and 2. It was not a High Efficiency system. This Company also did not give the warranty that the Trane system carries that would be an extra expense to the home owner. When confronted through e-​mail about these findings there was no response so I have reported this to the Home Show and will be reporting on the BBB as well.
