not the best place to go to, probably the only place for some Hmong food but it was really clustered in there. I only went because my dumbass friend recommended it to me but I probably will not go here again. I ordered combo spring rolls and papaya salad. Spring roll noodles were so soft which meant it was overcooked or left at room tempature for too long and the papaya salad was so sour, too sour for my taste and I got a bag of stale pork skins so yeah. will not be going there again unless I’m desperate

Actually quite expensive for the amount of food, but still cheaper than Hmong New Year food. I find that it’s a hit and miss on the«freshly grilled» food. After you order, they pull the already cooked meats from the warmer and then do their thing and stick it in the containers for you. My advice? Go early or on time for the freshly cooked batches. That’s when it’s still succulent. Tried their thai tea, once, and never again. Too syrupy sweet! Totally not my idea of deliciousness. The chili pepper to dip your meat in? Nope. Too much fish sauce. In fact, it’s like dipping in fish sauce. It would be wonderful if they actually balanced the ratio of chili to fish sauce. Customer service? Ehh, it’s cool. Nothing to complain or praise about. Perfectly neutral. Overall, the convenience is good and the place is decent for food. :)

Saw their ad on FB, decided to give it a try. Ordered the usual grilled chicken, sausage and papaya salad. Chicken was moist, tender and juicy! Sausage was delicious and so full of flavor. I like that it’s not very fatty like most sausages tend to be. The papaya was one of the best I’ve ever had! Seriously good! Pepper sauce was pretty good, different from what I’m used to(not sure how to describe it, except maybe a bit salsa-ish?). Still, it was flavorful and spicy just as it should be, it complemented the food well and I liked it. Portions were generous. Overall, I’d say a fantastic value for your buck. I plan on having them cater my son’s birthday party. So happy I decided to try them, I hope they stick around for a long, long time because everyone knows how hard it is to find good papaya. As for the bad customer service reviews they’ve been getting, really not sure what that’s all about. One of the guys was out front grilling when I got there with my 2 kids and he greeted us. Not overly friendly or opening doors or pulling out chairs for me, but certainly polite and cordial, professional and business-like. If you’re expecting the warm red-carpet treatment, head downtown and pay for it. This place rocks!

Not the best at customer service at this restaurant. Wasn’t greeted. Not friendly. Food was not fresh. 3 color drink was hard and tasted like it was made from the day before. Bbq chicken was not fully cooked. Still red inside.

Came Here Because I Saw That They Had Food That You Wouldn’t Really Be Able To Get Anywhere Else. ‘Hmong New Year Food’ & Everything Was A Disappointment. From Beginning To End. Customer Service Was Bad. You Could Barely Hear What The Boy Said. He Looked Mad, Like He Didn’t Wanna Be There. I Ordered The American Sausage Plate. And I Saw Him Take It Out From The Place Where They Stored Food To Keep It Warm I Guess, And He Microwaved The Food. When The Food Was Brought Out, I Didn’t Notice At First But It Was BOILED Sausage, Not Grilled. I Don’t Understand Why It Was Boiled When They Had A Grill Outside. Never Will Come Here Again For That. Better Off Next Door.

First and last time EVER eating here… Spent $ 50 and was VERY disappointed with the amount. Was hoping with $ 50 worth, it would be more than enough to feed 4 people but I was wrong. The portion was probably not even enough for 2 people. The food tasted like crap! Looks like it has been sitting all day long.

One star is too generous. Got the scare of my life, hard chicken, and bad customer service all within 20 minutes. 1) Awful customer service. Do they not know to greet customers? Cashier did not even acknowledge I was at the counter trying to order and the cashier was just trying her hardest to avoid greeting me. 2) I ordered the chicken plate to go and asked if I could get a fresh off the grill one… What do you know, they gave me the hardest and driest chicken they had. I got home and threw the whole meal away… Also their pepper is so watered down. 3) Bad neighborhood. The residents across the street from Café Lajsiab were shouting at everyone they see and fighting someone. A resident even brought out a metal bat! LOLOHHH Good Lord, never coming here again.

Great place! Glad I found this place! I don’t have to drove to south sac every time I want great papaya I love their papaya salad! And they sell boba drinks here for those hot summer days coming soon. And they have my favorite! MEXICANCHIPS! NOW I don’t have to chase after the Mexican guy when he comes around my mom in law house, if I am even there or wait for the weekends to go to denios. Lol check this place out! It’s not the greatest location but if you’re in the area check it out. Papaya is six bucks and sausage by it self is 4 bucks and they have full rice plates. they serve sticky rice witch is the bomb and I’m too lazy to make it at home.. The right way lol. .I would recommend if you’re looking for authentic hmong food!

Best papaya in the area. I always ask for extra spicy(and that’s what I get). The owner sees me at least once a week. Place serves hot foods. Snacks & drinks. Oh and boba smoothies as well. My daughter loves going here for the fresh NaVa deserts. Private parking lot. But it’s small.(Watch out for the raised curbs) this place isn’t all that on the out side. But decent in the inside. You can sit and eat your food there as well. Music is always playing too.

I really came here for the grilled meats that I saw advertised all over fb. Sure, it’s a hole in the wall, but the food was dang good. They sell candy, chips and drinks also. I tried the hmong sausage, grilled cornish game hen, grilled pork belly and the pork skin laab. Everything tasted really good. The only problem I had was that the pork belly and pork skin laab wasn’t cooked long enough and the skin wasn’t as well done as I normally like it.

Been wanting to try this place out after hearing so many good things about it. And since I was in the area I decided to stop by. I of course had to get their jumbo springrolls everyone was talking about. It came with a peanut sauce and their version of the Vietnamese fish sauce. Both dipping sauces was overly sweet, it did not compliment the springrolls at all. The springroll itself was pretty big but only because it was stuffed with a huge amount of noodles. I also got their papaya salad which was a disappointment because a lot of people claimed that it was«so good» however the only thing I tasted was shrimp paste. I also tried their lajsiab ice tea. It was ok. The guy working there was nice and the inside of the store was comfy but I don’t see myself coming here again or anytime soon.

Tapioca drink was good. Spring rolls were good too, just that they were HUGE and one layer wrap wasn’t enough to hold it together. It was breaking apart as I was eating it. Thai tea was SUPER sweet. I came home and added almond milk to tone it down. Coconut shake was too watery. Husband won’t drink it. Pickled pork was good though. Trying the pepper tonight or tomorrow if I’m not hungry tonight… Overall, nothing that special to make me say I HAVE to come back. Taste like regular food I can get anywhere else.

Yayy im first so this place is new just opened its right next to southeast asian café. Small mom and pops café. Seen it a few times and decided to stop. Its pretty cute how they have it set up as soon as you walk in to your left is aa section with tables and chairs set up for you to sit and wait and to your right is a bunch of games set ul for you to take and play while you wait. So they have pretty much a little lounge are. First aisle soda drinks and water. Beverages period lol in cases next aisle candy candy candy. and toys my daughter was in heaven lol. She was going crazy in there. The wall was cute. A list of everything they had Smoothies Shakes Bolba drink Fresh Sandwhiches asian desertz Other delicious extras you can add to your drink They pretty much had a little bit of everything They were super nice and friendly the place was pretty clean. Had the smell of fresh fruits. Yummy :-) I had a lajsiab mixed fruit ice tea. What better than a cold ice tea in summer! I loved it the worker recommended it to me since i couldnt make up my mind lol. So its basically sweet tea with strawberries oranges pineapples sliced and mixed with the tea. It was so light and refreshing My hubby had a strawberry and banana smoothie he loved it. Which they had alot of different kind of smoothie or yogurt smoothie etc. lol. This is a jackpot since theres not alot of these spots in north sacramento.(well in this area) Anyways i highly recommend if your in the area neighborhoods a little rough but this wont be my last time!
