Leslie Fong DDS

I would normally recommend Dr. Fong to anyone. That’s if you get past the receptionist first. I called a couple months ago and again today to make an appt and the receptionist, Gina answered the phone. I have never spoken with anyone so obnoxious! It’s the worst to call a place of business and then change your mind about even calling in the first place. She is completely rude, interrupts you while you are talking, doesn’t consider the patients point of view and blames the patient for missed appointments, appointments that were never scheduled with the patient in the first place. Not to mention, she should not be answering phones at all!
What I don’t get is why you would ever schedule an appointment without first confirming with the patient? Instead she sends a postcard and EXPECTS us to show up to each appointment. No, I don’t think so. People have a life and are busy and need to schedule time to be off in order to make it to these appointments. In the past, we never received these postcards because we moved and she argued that fact after I tried explaining this to her. I don’t see how this would be our fault. How would patients know to show up if they never got the postcard or a call to confirm the appointment? I actually told her either schedule the appointment with me or let me off the phone! After all that bickering back and forth, Gina finally scheduled the appointment and then sent us a letter stating that we couldn’t be seen there anymore which is perfectly fine by me, it was her unprofessional tone and interrupting me while I was talking that made me annoyed.
We just received a postcard recently with an appointment and again, something that was never scheduled. I called her today and let her know we won’t be using them anymore and of course she argued with me saying that our account is in red and flagged. LOL it’s really not that serious. Just do not send us anything in the mail after arguing that we can’t be seen there. We are definitely much happier with our new dentist, Dr. Justin Winger in Citrus Heights and their FRIENDLY receptionist actually schedule and CONFIRM the appointments with us.
Sounds like she needs to do her job and actually call people to confirm!

I have been coming here since the beginning of 2003. How did I find Dr. Leslie Fong? Out of a phonebook. Yep, that’s right a PHONEBOOK! You know that huge yellow book that’s delivered on your door step annually by your local phone company lol. He is very professional, patient, and great at what he does. Dr. Fong is quite funny too. He would tell me about his time in dental school. So many silly experiences. Don’t worry Dr. Fong I will keep those stories to myself: o).
Another great thing about this place is his Hygienist which is also his wife, Sandy Fong. I adore her! She’s so funny, sweet, upbeat, easy-​going, talkative and a great Hygienist. I love how she makes you feel you’re more of a friend than a client. We have a our little girl talk in between her jabbing my mouth with dental tools. Would I recommend Dr. Fong… YES!!!
FYI: It’s pretty cold in the office so remember to wear something warm!
