Awesome event. I’ve done this walk 6 times now. Always worth it. Volunteers are energetic and the cause is worthy. Why wouldn’t you walk a 5k to save the ta-tas? Every year there is a ton of support from local businesses — big(like my company) and small. This year they didnt have us walk thru old sac(only a small section of the waterfront) so I hope they change that for next year. Regardless, I’ll keep coming back to show support!

Making strides, kicking cancer to the curb, saving the Ta-Ta’s, umm YES! A great event held once a year at the Capital of California. SACRAMENTOBABY! although it is just one of many locations that you can do your part and join in the greatness. My family and i have been doing this walk since 2012. My wife had lost her mother to cancer back in 2000. So it does hit home, but these days who really hasn’t lost a loved one, friend, coworker, even someone who you barely know but heard they passed, you know it brings a a tear when you hear about it. Im having a tuff time writing this cause it brings back so many memories. And that is why i am glad to help support anything to bring awareness and research to help kick the $#it out of cancer. So the next time you see something about cancer toss in some spare change, join the event, it will mean alot to many people, and most likely someone close to you! Back to the main event, the walk is held at the capital each year. The walk takes about 1 hour, the layout has changed do to the deconstruction of the K st mall and the building of the new Kings arena, but that didn’t stop this event. They have a bunch of booths about awareness, gifts, and more. They have complimentary water, apples, bananas for your participating. So next year hope to see more of you and lets help put a end to this evil, evil thing called Cancer.
