Everyone is fantastic. This place is fast paced, fun, and kid-​friendly. Be careful if you use Google maps. It took me to the empty lot down the street.

This martial arts style is the best I’ve ever tried — and I’ve tried a lot. I’m a long-​time student now. I love the community they are building, the practical self defense they teach, the physical workout is top notch and as you grow into the art there is very deep connection you can make with self, spirit and chi. FANTASTIC for children. Women should be prepared for REAL self defense — these guys will help you kick ass!

What an incredible experience and opportunity to be able to be involved with this Shou Shu studio with Shun Shifu Tan. High energy, powerful, and such a great support system, you can’t help but sign up. Teaching respect, showing you the potential of your power within, and aiding in building confidence, Shun Shifu Tan and the other Shifus make this the amazing studio it is today. If it wasn’t for them, I don’t think I would have signed up. Natalia, Shun Shifu’s wife, also does a great yoga and self-​defense class Tuesday and Thursdays evenings. She is calming, patient, has great techniques but still teaches you to kick ass and take names. Great kids classes thought by people not only great at Shou Shu, but also great at working with kids. I would recommend this for anyone interested in self defense, active sport, building strength, building self-​confidence, and reaching a higher understanding of yourself and the power you already inside.

The folks at Moores teach discipline, respect and good form. Something thats missing in many parts of society. The kids love it and they’re able to be safer in todays world.

I’ve never been to this studio, but I studied in Stockton. I’ve tried many differant styles of martial arts and Shou Shu is by far the best for learning how to bring the inner beast out. I am a second degree blackbelt in Shou Shu and I am a first degree in another style. Shou shu is so full, it incorporates so many differant styles and many non conventional styles of fighting and striking. A great style to take up if you are looking to further endurance, self defense, self respect or all of the above.

The best ever! I’ve been going for just a couple weeks and am pretty much hooked. This form of martial arts offers self defense and makes me feel safer living on my own. Every time I leave a class I pretty much feel like a bad ass. The instructor is amazing, patient and enthusiastic about teaching. I recommend it to anyone looking to get into martial arts. I also highly recommend it to any women and children around town to offer a feeling of safety! If you want to try a class before you sign up he will let you have a freebie.
