Dr. Nagy is the best doctor I have ever had. My GP at the time had decided that I had Adult Onset Asthma, he was treating me with medications and discussed the triangle that Nsaids could kill me. A couple of months later he wrote me a note on his prescription pad of an over-​the counter drug. It being for a pain in my elbow. 15 hours in the ER that night. I was very lucky that they saved me. The doctor’s excuse was that when I asked about the pain in my elbow, he totally forgot about my asthma problems. My appointment that day was for my asthma problems. Our relationship is over as is his relationship with Marshall Hospital.
Two of my close friends who are Doctors themselves said independently that I would be happy with Dr. Nagy. He is an old school doctor that really knows his business. My asthma is under control very nicely under his care. Probably 6 years now.
I had open heart surgery (replaced aortic valve) 3 years ago at Sutter Hospital. On F street maybe 10 blocks from Nagy’s office. The first day out of the ICU, I was going for my first walk down the hallways when, to my surprise, Dr. Nagy walked in to check on me. I told him I was doing fine but something had happened the evening before. My blood oxygen was a little low. They said they would hook in up at the 9 pm rounds. I woke up with the 5:30 am vitals check. I had not been hooked up to the oxygen. The nurse just mentioned my blood oxygen was 88 «a little low». I told her that I needed oxygen immediately. She hooked me up.
Dr. Nagy said that he would come by my room in a few minutes. He rounded up everyone that was treating me and told them that they needed to treat me as an asthma patient as well as a heart patient as my asthma is a very bad case. He came to my room and we talked for about 15 minutes or so. He say I should have no more problems as he said he made my health situation very clear. Call him with any question. When the nurses and doctors came in to see me, they all said that they had talked to my Dr. Nagy. Even my heart surgeon said, and I think this is an actual quote «I talked to your Dr. Nagy. He’s an old school doctor that really cares about his patients. You’re very lucky to have him.» I agree
Dr. Nagy came by at least one more time during my stay. Dr. Nagy visited me at the hospital on his own, I was never billed for his visits. He could have saved my life!
I’m sorry that this is so long, but I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Nagy.

I had issues with coughing for years. My primary doctor had prescribed various inhalants and medications for respiratory problems. None of them worked and then a few months ago my coughing got much worse and I started to lose my voice. My primary doctor prescribed an antibiotic which did nothing. I got alarmed because I was feeling so poorly and my chest hurt but I could tell I didn’t have a cold. Dr. Nagy sat down with me and went over my entire medical history, did tests for allergies, and based on my symptoms and negative allergy tests, diagnosed me with GERD — acid reflux. He prescribed an over the counter medication and a diet plan, and my cough got better for the first time in years. I researched GERD on the Internet and I had textbook symptoms. Not treating it can lead to severe problems including possibility of stomach cancer. I am so irritated that my primary doctor never considered GERD being a possibility it is hard for me to return to him. I am very thankful to Dr. Nagy.

I went into this office with regrets after reading a few negative reviews, however my experience was very different from the prior reviews!
I waited no more than 5 minutes when the Dr. himself came and got me from the waiting area. He sat down with me and did a very complete check into my background; I felt like he was genuinely interested in my health and me as a person. I had several tests done, some of which were inconclusive, so Dr. Nagy promptly referred me to other facilities for various testing.
I walked into this office completely miserable with allergies, and I haven’t had any problems since starting the prescription Dr. Nagy put me on. Also, he took time after the tests to explain the situation. This was by far one of the better experiences I’ve had with a Dr.

I went to this allergist at the referral of my primary care doctor.
First off, walking into this guy’s office is like a time warp. Case and point: he uses a dot matrix printer… Aaaah nostalgia of the 80’s, tearing the edges with the holes off the pages… The décor probably hasn’t been updated since Dr. Nagy got his medical license, which was likely a loooong time ago. It wasn’t until I visited another allergist that I realized just how behind in medical technology this guy is.
I’m allergic to cats, I already know. I have several cats. Dr. Nagy was insistent that I get rid of my cats. I told him that is a non-​negotiable item. He continued to insist that I get rid of my cats.
He recommended that I have sinus surgery. Personally, I don’t think surgery should be the first option, but he insisted that I needed to have the surgery done before he would treat me for allergies.
This doctor is very blunt, and doesn’t listen. When his staff called me for a followup appointment, I told them that his bedside manner was awful and would be finding another allergist. I promptly received a bill.
