THEVAMPIREBALL” of 2011 was BLOODYMAGNIFICENT! [“Come for the Blood! Stay for the Hookah!”] SITREP The most exquisite«Vampire Ball 2011» was hosted by The Necropolis this past Saturday night(Oct 22, 2011). What an amazing event put on my Shannon McCabe, Frankie Vanity with DJ talents by Bryan Hawk and David Van Dyke. It was SUPERBFUN! THEHOOKAHBAR This is decidedly a wonderful aspect about this venue is the Hookah Bar. Great flavors at an inexpensive rental($ 10 for hookah and one round of tobacco all 3 times I’ve been here. With a group, you can get your«hookah on» and share the different flavor experiences. Hookah is NOT overpowering like cigarettes or cigars, and has much less of the carcinogenic additives of those mediums. PICTURES Please take a gander at the event pictures I uploaded just in the last day. Hauntingly beautiful women, frighteningly handsome men, and even Count Dracula and his Wives! It was a talented display of many parties making this THEPARTY this past Saturday night! THELOWDOWN I truly can’t wait until the Vampire Ball next year in 2012. And YOU should be there too!

You’d walk/drive right past the place. I only knew it was there because of the security guard standing at the top of the stairs(and the bass weight coming from down below). This venue has so much potential. It’s longer than it is wide, holds roughly 700 people, has ‘two rooms’ separated by one bar in the middle, a creepily awesome VIP area, a sick loft, and an amazing back patio. About the creepily awesome VIP area: the walls are adorned with Gothic paintings, sort of H.R. Geiger-esque, with large throws and crushed velvet chairs and sofas. It’s very dark and Gothic with dark cherry wood seating. I almost wish the whole place looked like this room. If you’ve been to Image VIP on 7th St. and liked their basement, you’ll love this dance floor. Plus the owner/bartender has a strong pour and good drink prices, which is always a positive. The back patio is really amazing. I wish all of the jackasses who ruined Old Sac years ago hadn’t… this location would be incredible for summer evening get downs. Alas, due to strict curfews and noise complaints, having music on the patio is limited to being no louder than a standard boom box. It’s unfortunate for sure. A like this place but I’ll have to stop in a few more times before I give it any more stars.
