crab leg is the only reason why I choose here, but I didn’t see it today. Very disappointed. Probably won’t come until they serve crab legs again.

We came here with a friend who loves the place. I’ve had better Chinese food, but I’ve had much, much worse(and not from a buffet). As buffets go, No 1 Buffet is good. There are large variety of Chinese dishes, as well as salad, sushi and Mongolian BBQ. Most everything looked good, and the staff replaced the trays regularly. The restaurant is pretty clean. The waitresses were good about clearing our used dishes. I suggest that you check No 1 Buffet out for yourself. I’d eat here again, but YMMV.

They offer a lot of food, but nothing that is really tasty. They have a sushi bar, a phở bar, a mongolian grill, and a fried noodle bar. Interestingly, it’s like they forgot to add a necessary ingredient in the food. For example, the sushi rice has absolutely no flavor. The cook at the fried noodle bar pours some sort of brown liquid(soy sauce with hot water and something else) on what every he’s frying up. The end result is peppery, but there is not much else in terms of flavor. When we went to get some fresh fruit, most of the fruit is canned. The pineapple and melons were not even ripe. Think you can do better elsewhere.

Price is high. The phở was awesomely delicious, making it the best buffet phở I’ve tried. Huge varieties. Sushi was okayish. Nice options and style in a buffet, such as having a huge bbq grill out-front; first time seeing that.

I pretty much stick to the same dishes. Fried rice and the flavored chicken. I think the food that still has heads on it is a little much for me. I.e. the shrimp. But. If your trying not to pay big bucks. Then this might be your place. Employee’s at the door are generally nice. But everywhere else… Yikes

For choice #1 is very good way more than most. Sushi(Kinda sorta) Mongolian BBQ(Ish). VERY good selection of sea food. Service good. Quality of the food is average to good. All in all not a bad meal. In fact, whilst writing this I am VERY uncomfortable, over did the amount of food as I wanted to try so much. I will return and tell friends to try it, once. Its then their choice.

You get what you pay for. The selection of food is substantial, however, the quality is exactly that of $ 14.95 a person worth! No complaints. We arrived later, around 8:30. The sushi looked like it had been sitting a while, so I didn’t have any. The other buffet items like the Chinese food selections were good. The Mongolian BBQ was my favorite! Dessert section O.K. A good bit to choose from, but it it looked like it had been sitting a while. The fruit and salad bar looked good. I was content with the shrimp and crab legs, considering what I paid for. I would come here again!

I eat here all the time with my family. It’s quite cheap for the variety. I believe the quality is good in some things and not so much in others but I like them overall. They have a cook there that you can have cook your fresh raw handpicked by you ingredients.

Good service. With the cheap price. Chinese cuisine… Should try once in life. But i think the restaurant should cook more food. Especially seafood at night. It more better

I would rather give this place a negative 10 mainly because of our waitress Jenny. We dined here for the first time juat a few hours ago and what a bad experience. I suggest not dinning at this place. Jenny’s attitude was so unpleasant. Never once did she smile nor greet us. We had to ask the managers for our drinks. She even poured the leftover sauce on my husbands lap from our used plates as she picked up our dishes and didn’t even apologize. She is the worst waitress I’ve ever encountered. There’s so much food but no taste. This place be playing with people’s money. Not satisfied by their service or food. If you want your messy to be worth what you paid don’t dine here.

My mom likes this place but that’s because she has bad taste. I’m half kidding but honestly I can’t think of anything I like about this place. Ummm, it costs okay? The food doesn’t seem fresh. The sushi is… okay. The quality is just bad. I guess if you’re starving and are into buffets, this might be an option. But there are so many other buffets with decent prices that I don’t know why you’d choose to eat here :/

Came here for my Gramp’s birthday. He will eat anything, so he doesn’t mind how low the food quality is here. I understand it’s a buffet, but it bothers me when I can tell the cooks don’t really care about the quality that they put out for consumption. A lot of the food tasted old and of course masked by tons of sodium. The most enjoyable item was the soft serve and I don’t usually eat ice cream since I’m lactose intolerant. This place isn’t the same anymore from the first few years it opened. Glad to see that they’re still open, but please care more about the food! Like it says on the building itself. It’s No #1 buffet.

This buffet restaurant had a variety of delicious looking foods. Looks could be deceiving. I’ve had the fried won tons with chicken and it was spoiled chicken. It was sour you could taste there was something wrong with it. So I tried another same thing. I had to throw it away. The spring rolls not very tasty. Food tasted like it needed more seasoning in everything. Employees seemed like they were upset or maybe it was their culture. Rough talking and very demanding! I guess people enjoy this type of Asian buffets but this was one that I’d probably not return to again anytime soon.

Tack on two or three zeros after the«1» in the name and that would more accurately describe this place. I usually trust my fellow Unilocalers and won’t set foot in any place less than 3 full stars, but I really didn’t have a choice on this particular Sunday afternoon. It was a group decision of our party of 25 to dine here. Coming from a city with a buffet around every corner, I have definitely have had much better, and my expectations were tempered with this being an Asian buffet. The place was relatively clean that day with plenty of space to move around and for seating. And that’s where the positives end. The service was atrocious. We needed to request for every refill and empty plates weren’t removed until they were stacked at least five high. The pathetic part about it was the servers were less than 15 feet away from us sitting at a neighboring table conversing and rolling silverware. Here’s your chance to make some big money on a large party, but I guess having a silverware rolling competition takes priority. The food was just as disappointing. The only thing I would think about recommending is any food that does not require any technique to make such as the peel and eat shrimp, crawfish, fruit, and green beans. Thumbs down for everything else. The sushi was just California rolls, orange and garlic chicken with under cooked breading and bland sauce, overcooked crab legs with tough meat, desserts straight from a box, and a self serve dry meat carving station. I think other reviews will help finish the painting the picture of this place and I can keep going on but I’ll just stop there and start a search for a new buffet to take my family when I’m in town.

I am at this moment in time basking in that warm glow of fullness that accompanies a large delicious meal. My family and I had a wonderful time dining at this facility. The food was well-prepared and tastefully seasoned and the staff was courteous, effective and cheerful. The crab and shrimp were plentiful, the fruit was fresh and the variety and quality of dishes was very impressive. My favorites were the mushroom chicken, the green beans and the hot and sour soup which had a pleasant sweet spiciness from the addition of sweet chili. My daughter enjoyed the fresh pineapple, the honey walnut shrimp(which was too doughy for me), and playing with the waitress. We had a great time, and when we were ready for dessert, she got an ice cream cone. They also have Korean and Mongolian style bbq and sushi. The bbq was tasty and the sushi area had many different types of rolls. They didn’t keep a good selection of plain fish types of sushi, which may have been because the workers were working so hard to keep up with the sushi rolls which were very artfully prepared. It was really busy. We will definitely return.

Tried this place out just for some all you can eat crab legs. This place is pretty good, compared to other asian-style buffets in Sacramento. They had a variety of Chinese food(pretty good) and some sushi/sashimi(sushi at buffets never really taste good). Place was pretty clean, which is always a plus. Would come here again.

For the quantity over quality peeps, this is a place you should try. I like that they have a HUGE variety for their food compared to many other Asian/Chinese buffets. However, the food is overall just okay. There’s nothing I consider to be extremely delicious. But I really do enjoy the huge variety of all different foods. They have sushi, however, as much of a sushi-lover as I am, I never get sushi here. It’s just very low quality in every ingredient… From the sauces, to the sashimi, down to the rice itself. The rice is always dry and somewhat hard. They have a Korean-BBQ bar where you out as much meat as you want on the plate and they will cook it for you. Despite that it’s hot, fresh, and grilled right then and there for you, the marinate for it has a distinct taste of curry… For some reason. Overall, just a very awkward taste on «Korean bbq». I never get this as well. Besides that, all the food on average is not too bad but not extremely good either. 3⁄5 on average for everything. 5⁄5 for the variety!

They should post an «eat at your own risk» sign here as nothing looks fresh! The sushi they offer looks like it has been previously frozen and left out to thaw on the buffet table, their hot food lacks in flavor and the waiters fail to keep it clean, And I wouldn’t go near the salad bar since it doesn’t look like they take the time to properly clean their fruits and vegetables. The only thing I actually enjoyed eating here was their soft serve ice cream…(all the other desserts were a bit stale and I regret even picking them up) They do offer Mongolian and Korean BBQ options which is different and new but, as I stated above, they lack flavor and I don’t trust the freshness of their ingredients. There is also a noodle station where your allowed to pick and choose items to assemble a soup but, the broth is too salty and I wouldn’t recommend it. Overall, save your money and drive down the street to Huong Lan, TK Noodle, Asian Pearl… ANYWHERE but here.

After awhile, the food all tastes the same. Sometimes, I question the freshness too. Go here for quantity but definitely do not expect quality. That and you have to hunt down a waiter or waitress if you want drink refills or any extra napkins or chopsticks. Sometimes, they don’t even offer you drinks at all and you’ll have to go ask for it yourself.

Above the door, the sign reads«No #1 Buffet». While I’m sure they were going for«Number 1 Buffet», I think the way it actually reads is a little more accurate. I’ve been to my fair share of Asian buffets(for better or worse) and this really is no #1 buffet. When it comes to buffets(especially Asian ones), expectations have to be adjusted. You can’t(and shouldn’t) walk in expecting fantastic food. So it’s sad that even then, the food here still fell short. In fact, while their variety is impressive, it actually works against them since I still couldn’t find anything good. The sushi selection was the first thing I checked out and I quickly turned away. Half of the trays sat empty while the other half looked highly unappealing — barely filled rolls and fish that looked suspect at best. Amazingly, the dim sum section was worse. Just trays and trays of food, steamed to death from sitting unwanted for so long. Honestly, the only things I found remotely passable were the«made to order» counters(didn’t try their selection of seafood or desserts). Even then, it was only because I got to customize my bowl of noodles and Mongolian stir-fry they cooked for me. The rest of their hot foods(walnut prawns, sesame chicken, fried shrimp, egg rolls, potstickers, Korean BBQ, etc.) were a mix of overcooked, salty, dry, and otherwise not good. Since my friends hosted their rehearsal dinner here(and subsequently paid for everyone), I certainly don’t want to offend them or come off as ungrateful. In the end, despite my opinion of the food, I was still more than happy to be there and honored to be part of the wedding party. It’s just that, as the majority of the other reviews can attest to, the food simply isn’t good. Even if the photos look better than what I had.
