I moved to Natomas and after going to a new dentist and having a different experience, I had to knock one star off my original review. I stand by the amazing staff as they are definitely the reason that I kept on going back year after year and the reason that the rest of my family are still patients of Dr. Orsi; however, there was a change in how they take insurance that happened in the mid 2000s. Before, you didn’t have to pay anything other than a copay(if your insurance required it) and then their staff would file the forms with the insurance company. Apparently, there were a lot of problems with the insurance companies paying out to their offices so they changed their policy to the patient paying for the cost of the services up front then you would get a reimbursement check in the mail a couple of weeks later. This was ok when I was under my mom’s insurance(and she would pay) but as a college student, it became increasingly cost prohibitive. Once I moved away, the gas and the up front costs were enough for me to look into another dentist. If you are able to afford the up front costs, I would definitely recommend Dr. Orsi and his staff as they really become part of your family.
