I have had many spray tans at different salons. This one was a bitter sweet experience. They should offer nose filters and sticky shoes so you don’t get the bottom of your feet colored. The color did stay on pretty good. I mean I tried to scrub it off because it was too orange… lol but it does stay on.

I’ve never written a review on Unilocal but I felt like I have to share my experience here. I HIGHLYRECOMMENDNOTCOMINGHERE!!! I signed up for a yearly membership last year and it’s been a nightmare ever since. I’ve tanned for years and have never see someone run a business into the ground the way this women does. I’ve tried canceling my membership 3 times with the owner and every month she would still charge me. It got so bad I had to call my bank to put a stop on the payments because the owner wouldn’t! Not only that but even if you DON’T sign another yearly contract(or anything saying that they can continue to charge you) they will still continue until you go in and terminate the contract(but again I’ve tried 3 times and the owner STILL kept charging me). She will make it so easy to upgrade your tanning package but won’t drop it(even though you can– the owner just doesn’t want to do the paper work). Not only that but just a little tip– the owner will never mention, if you upgrade your package you start a new yearly contract, not just upgrading the year you already signed for(and that’s the way the owner will make it sound). Looking back on the experience I wish I would’ve come here. When I first walk into the business the owner just stared and me until I started asking questions and engaged a conversation. It’s obvious that she is penny pinching her costumers and it’s very sad.

Love it here!!! No I don’t work there lol the girls know my name which is nice and the owner/manager is odd but you don’t interact with her hardly ever. I do the monthly spa package which includes all services for like 65 a month or something(contract but only $ 50 to get out of it). Girls are super friendly and clean things really well and they give lots of good advice. ALSO-buy lotions on I pay like $ 25 for lotions that cost over $ 100 at salons.

I just bought a Groupon for this Planet Beach location for 10 tanning sessions. Haven’t been tanning indoors since probably high school so it’s been quite a while. I was greeted by Chantelle and filled out some forms since I was a first timer here. As another reviewer mentioned, Chantelle was super awesome!!! Shes VERY friendly, incredibly personable, informative, and might I add in funny! Stand-up tanning machine was clean — I guess the only thing I didn’t really like was how small the room was. But other than that, I’m beyond impressed and happy with my first experience at this establishment! I hope my future visits will be just as pleasant!

I debated between one and two stars; I feel two is being generous. I bought a six service package from Groupon in which it advertised a selection of services Planet Beach offers. This location only offers a couple services, and for me spray tans and the hydration machine were the only two that I’d want to try. First off, I have only used four of my six and all on spray tans. The hydration machine has been broken every time I’ve asked, or supposedly has an appointment, though they never need to check the computer to know that, and in the time I’m there, nobody ever comes in to use it. Second, I had bad customer service from Dana. My first time in she told me if I did not shower within 3 hours after spray tanning, I’d «be orange and look terrible.» She also called me «pale to begin with» when I commented on the tan afterwards. Then, because I showered three hours after, the tan completely came off and I looked just very very slightly tanner than I began with. Complete waste. Second time I came in came in my tan came out fine, though Dana once again swore I needed to shower within 3 hours again. I didn’t listen and waited until the next day and everything was fine. The third spray tan was fine as well though this time Dana ignored me to continue a personal conversation on the work phone. She whispered to me so the person on the other line could continue talking. Then no goodbye have a nice day when I left. Just more phone call. My last visit was yesterday and for the first time it was not Dana, but the owner. I got my spray tan and afterwards I just politely let her know about her worker and my previous experiences. She said she’d talk to her but didn’t seem very concerned. She slightly apologized but I left feeling like she could care less. I felt if I was the owner of a business, I’d care much more. Then I showered this morning to reveal my completely uneven spray tan.(Pictures will be posted.) My right side is many shades darker than my left. And it is tan on the front and back but inside and outside of my legs look pale. My knee has a huge stripe. I’ve spray tanned at many places and have never had this happen. I call to let them know. Apparently this has never happened to anyone else and their machines are working perfectly fine. She did add on the spray tan back to my account to get it fixed but I don’t even want it. I have three more services paid for but I’ll go somewhere else. It simply isn’t worth it.

I like this place a lot. It’s close to my house and they have a friendly staff from midday and night. The day time is kind of quieter and more peaceful which is always nice to start my day off before work with tanning, a Starbucks, and a protein bar all down the way. I had a situation with another planet beach. They had been charging my card and putting upgrade charges daily… So I stopped payment on that place. Unfortunately I had a stop payment placed on this planet beach as well. The natomas location understood my situation and accommodate me right away and has been nothing but helpful and chipper. I only minus one star because lotion packets are kind if pricey. But of course they have to be pricey if they want to make a profit. I myself wouldn’t use them only in emergency lack of lotion situations.

Found in the blossoming tract community that is North Natomas, this tan-nery is nothing special. The salon is somewhat on the small side, and while the beds are fine, the prices are about as inflated as the local real estate. Staff is sometimes friendly, sometimes not. They don’t seem to have the greatest knowledge about tanning. Be prepared to fill out a chart if you’re a first-timer, too. I only switched over here for a hot minute after my fave Mojave Tans, of South Natomas, closed down. Quickly figured out the price outweighed the benefits and moved on.

Have been going to Planet Beach off and on for a while. I stopped do to alot of drama with the staff. Seems like they weeded out the drama and have a pretty good staff sense I decited to try it again. I’m very happy hopefully it stays this way. Very clean, love the quickness, but miss the smiley face of a young girl, thin, blonde high lighted hair girl, think her name was Janae

Yah, yah, yah!!! I know how bad tanning is but I like some color on my body in the summertime. With that said, I found this place and it’s convenient to hit on the way home from work and it has a Starbucks right next door. Very clean, friendly staff and I usually can get in and out pretty quickly…
