Prestige Preschool Academy

I recently enrolled my 4 year old grandson, and so far I am very impressed. They also have outside companies that offer the children extra curricular activities such as gymnastics and soccer. Which are held on site during school hours. My grandson loves it as well. Happy about my decision

My 3 year old has been going here for about a year and my 10-​month old about 4-​months. I just can’t say how much I love this place! The staff is very kind and welcoming. My eldest seems very advanced for her age, as they are always teaching her new things. Songs, colors, alphabet and such. My 10-​month old is about to walk and can thank the staff for working with her. They also implement strategies to test and develop her motor skills. If I ever had any concerns the director is always available to address my concerns in a professional manner. I have tried in home daycare and don’t think that my daughters can get the education that comes along with bringing them to a facility. I did look into other centers in the area, and found that they were to «stuffy,» a curriculum was not in place or the staff seemed «institutionalized.»

I reviewed a few years ago when the name was tutor time & I’m back to update under Prestige.
My daughter has been in every room at Prestige. She began in the baby room with Alex & she’s now in the big kid after school room. She’s loved every teacher & learned tremendously.
Most importantly, as a working mom, Prestige served as a safe place I could leave my precious baby without worry.
I credit the leadership. Melissa has been in charge since I walked in the door 5 years ago. That kind of stability is invaluable in child education.
I commend her & the team for their commitment to the kids.
They understand we are busy & have long open hours for when that 4 pm meeting runs into the 6 pm hour.
They care about the kids. They become part of your village that makes smart, healthy kids.
Sure, in home day care is cheaper but the kids here are learning in a structured environment & being socialized.

I absolutely love love love the staff at Prestige! Melissa, Terry and every single person there is amazing… I have three children there… infant, preschool, and school age. I am soo comfortable knowing my children are in such a caring and loving environment, not once have I been unsure or have second guessed my decision to place them at Prestige. They are very accommodating with my last minute schedule changes for work… my heart sinks knowing that we will have to find another trustworthy facility once we move next year!!! They are hands down one of the most amazing facilities ever!

Prestige, hands down, has been the best teaching facility for our daughter. She enrolled at eighteen months of age and now she’s four. She’s been potty trained, taught manners, and has built up her vocabulary tremendously through the help of the staff at Prestige. The Director is very attentive to each parents’ needs and concerns and the teaching staff are friendly and excellent. My daughter loves all of her teachers here and it’s such a great feeling to know that your kid is in good hands. I’m so glad we chose Prestige! Keep up the great work, team!

We have been with Prestige Preschool formerly Tutor Time since 2011. The staff have become like family. I have never doubted the love and compassion they have for my kids. They look forward to going to school and I have never had any problems. My kids come home exhausted with paint, marker, and grass stains. Signs of having fun. The kids have made friends with the same kids over the years, and its a joy watching them grow and see them developing their personalities. My youngest is 4 years old, she only goes 2 days a week, her abilities surprise me, she can write all letters, numbers, shapes, speak some words of Spanish, I’ve been told she has surpassed the requirements for Kindergarten! Thank you Prestige for your guidance and compassion for my children!

I’m quite shocked to read the review from 5÷1÷2014. Prestige, the staff of Prestige, the environment, the classrooms and facilities are all great. Both our kids started with Alex and Lashawn and the two of them do such a great job with the infants. Always friendly and I never second guess dropping our kids of with them.
I have always been greeted when I enter with an upbeat, welcoming attitude from everyone there.
Does a child get sick from being around other people? sure
Does a child get sick because the staff encourages the children to go outside and play in the playground and get a little dirty and be prone to bacteria… Sure
I Love this part, because it makes my child not as prone to getting sick all the time… I would rather have my children outside playing instead of sitting in front of a TV or coloring all day long…
Everytime I pick up our kids they have spent time doing arts and crafts and have things that we can stick on our Fridge and put away for our Children.
Our Daughter has been coming here for 5 years and now our 2 year old son comes here and we have never had any problems. Please don’t get distracted by one persons negative reviews…
Also, we have never had it when all the kids are in tears crying. Maybe one or two kids, but all the kids I have seen are very happy and very well taken care of… Top Marks to Prestige and keep doing what your doing.

My 2.5 yr old son was a part time student at the first of the year. It, unfortunately, was not a fit for either one of us.
PROS:
On paper the philosophy, curriculum and principles are perfect. The staff and teachers are very friendly, warm and polite. The outdoor areas are great for burning energy and getting fresh air. I like the toilet training support and child size bathrooms.
CONS:
Cleanliness is adequate. My son caught his first ‘cold’ here and shared it with me — we were never really able to shake it until we stopped attending. The germ infested key pad and computer check-​in doesn’t help. If there’s going to be restricted access they should hand out key cards for unlocking the door, or use bar code tags for scanning and checking in (like California Family Fitness).
Speaking of the front door, I felt the security measure of having a code was mute when anyone and everyone could be let in by another parent. After getting inside, there was rarely anyone in the front to monitor who was being let in or wandering through the building. I found the security measure to be pointless and (if it was my facility) move the restricted access door to the hallway entrance to keep strangers separated from the children.
I had a growing frustration with fellow parents who insisted on parking right at the front door or in the red zone. As if they, or they’re vehicle or plans for the day were somehow more important that anyone else or exempt from the rules. It was RUDE and although the Director tried many times to address the issue with mention in the newsletter and putting cones out I felt parents really needed to be called out specifically on their wrong doing. Even if that meant calling in a tow truck. I have zero tolerance for those people and that behavior.
Discord — Total and complete discord amongst the toddlers. My son was part-​time and every day when I would pick him up after lunch at least half of the room was in tears. Not familiar with this type of environment it was very unsettling for both of us — and I was only in the room for minutes. He consistently ran to me and the door and one day even broke into tears himself. It was unsettling. I feel like the size of the room was just too big. It wasn’t a matter of having enough staff, they really should just have smaller groups of energy. And I know one teacher was doing cots and the other was doing potty and hand-​washing. Maybe a floater teacher could be in there to just calm the upset kids.
Lastly, I never saw any arts or crafts and nothing was ever brought home if there was any. I know they were playing as a group and doing activity but I didn’t see anything creative and given the amount of money spent I would expect a little something for the fridge on occasion.
The day my son asked to go grocery shopping instead of school was the day I decided it wasn’t a happy fit for him. Ultimately we left Prestige Preschool because of discord amongst the classroom (which I believe was my son’s biggest issue) and money lost to missing days of school due to illness.
Hoping the school finds was to use my feedback and improve areas. As I said in the beginning, the staff, teachers and philosophy are all excellent.

Prestige Preschool (formerly Tutor Time) in north Natomas is run by a caring, well-​educated and experienced Director who treats every child like her own, and who trusts the staff there enough to actually let them care for her own. She has worked with children and families of all kinds for her entire career and wants only the best for every little one who walks through the door.
The facility is always clean, welcoming and bright. Each time I go in, it is buzzing with activity — children playing, learning and eating nutritious meals. A curriculum is followed in each classroom to insure that clients are getting a solid foundation in a developmentally appropriate way.
Definitely visit for a walk-​through… You’ll want your child to be a Prestige Preschool student, too!

My son loves coming to school. I can’t say enough about this preschool. The teachers are always so friendly. The classrooms are full of fun things for the children to do and learn from. I know that my son will leave Tutor Time ready for school.
