Nice store and fabric selection but an employee does not appear to be happy here. Every time I am in there, one named Ellen is talking bad about customers or other employees and does it in front of customers. She is short and curt to other employees and even customers making me think she might be one of the 12 owners. No one needs fabric bad enough to tolerate rudeness. I’d rather drive someplace else. Too bad nice fabric selection but no cheaper than other fabric stores in town. Maybe the partners will rethink their hiring criteria or have employees take a class on customer service!

I went out of my way to visit this quilt store. It was extremely hard to find although my GPS said I was there. Had to call the store. The woman said, oh we did not put out our flag today. There was a small green sign on a sandwich board amidst construction scaffolding. When I finally made it into the store, one of the women may have said hello. I browsed the fabrics but neither of them ever said a word or explained where each type of fabric was, or offered to help me. One walked right past me busily restocking. Who needs it? There are other quilt stores, and the huge majority are very friendly and helpful. Won’t go back.

Love this fabric store!!! First off, let me start by saying the building was getting some exterior work, so I wasn’t sure I was in the right place. A very nice selection of fabrics to choose from. they offer many types of classes to learn new techniques. Prices are about average; however, if you sign up they have several discounts(birthday, end of the bolt, 20+ yards, etc). It is located right off the freeway so if your stuck in traffic, you could convince your family to swing by ;) I found several cute and unique fabrics that I had not seen in any other fabric store. It’s definitely worth stopping by and checking out, especially if you are traveling through Sacramento. I would recommend this place, and will be back.

This is the best quilting/fabric store I have found in Sacramento and the surrounding area. They have an amazing selection of fabrics. A lot of Amy Butler here. I always fall in love with more fabrics than I can buy when shopping here. They have a really unique selection of Japanese import looking fabrics. Every time I come here I get great customer service, very friendly and not pushy. They offer a punch-card of sorts for earning free fabric. I’m surprised to see anything less than a five star review on here. I’ve visited a lot of shops up and down the West Coast and this is my second favorite(my first in Corvallis, Oregon). There is always plenty of parking in the parking lot. I have taken very picky sewers here and they’ve loved the selection. The prices are what you’d expect for nicer designers, maybe a dollar or two more than yardage from Joann, but well worth it.

I have taken a fancy 2 quilting and found this store on Unilocal. Knowledgeable women, very nice, and you feel at home. I am currently taking a quilting class and the instructor(Vickie) is wonderful, takes her time with you. Every class I felling like less and less of a dummie… lol.

Just visited this store for the first time-and I wish it was closer to my home! They have a large selection of fabric: batiks, civil war, asian, solids, Kaffee Fassett, you name it. Also a large selection of notions. I visited three shops in the bay area last week, and none of them had any asian fabric or sashiko thread. Even the bathroom is cute in this shop! Directions on their website were perfect, plenty of parking. I may be visiting Sacramento more often!

The store is well stocked, keeps great hours, and has a nice location(not too much traffic, great parking). Normally this would have gotten 4 stars from me except while I was there, I noticed that one of the saleswomen(the chubby dirty blonde) actually snickers and speaks badly about the customers to other customers. The sad part is that the customers she speaks ill of are still in the store while she is behaving so rudely. How unprofessional and unbecoming, particularly for a woman her age. This made me sad and a little reluctant to return to the store given that there isn’t really much here I can’t get at Joanns, for a cheaper price. I normally like to support small businesses like this but not when it’s staffed by such horrid employees. I feel bad for the customers she has spoken ill of and I hope they have chosen to spend their dollars elsewhere!

I LOVE this place! I have only been quilting for a year and a half and I am in love with it. I took a class at a different shop and was very disappointed, I almost stopped quilting, but since I did enjoy it I decided to take the beggining class at quilter’s corner. My teacher was Peggy and she doesn’t usually teach the beggining class, but I never would’ve known if she didn’t tell us, she was awesome! she was patient, and very nice to everyone also very encouraging. I also took an appliqué class with Ellen and once again I was VERY happy. Ellen is also pateint and she know her stuff! I have learned so much from her! The prices for the class are also very reasonable. The fabric isn’t very cheap but it is high quality fabric, it doesn’t get any better and the prices are better than a couple of the other small quilt shops around. I can’t say enought great things about this place, I love it!

Smallish shop with a heavy emphasis on vintage 18th and 19th century fabric designs. This, in my opinion, is the downside(which may be your heart throb). The highlights for me are: 1) There is a tremendous diversity of fabrics even in this small shop. 2) At holiday times you aren’t made to feel like a dork for not sewing the latest goofy Christmas or Halloween patterns. 3) They have a lovely Asian-inspired fabric selection. 4) They never make fun of quilting newbies(like me) who stitch the ditch and can’t even sew a straight line. 5) The«child» or «youth» themed fabrics are really sweet(and not all dinosaurs and trucks, but they have them, too) 6) They have a good sense of humor. 7) They have a really nice sale selection. Always. One more slight downside is that they don’t have quite as many groovy, hip, retro-inspired fabrics, so when they do, I drool and get overly excited. Maybe that’s a good thing…
