What can I say about RAS? It has been the place I have been going to for years. Usually annual mammograms or on occasion, other body parts. The earlier years of getting mammograms were something I dreaded and wondered whether I could just skip them. I seemed to get the same xray tech that was very friendly and talked up a storm, but was a little harsh on the breasts to the point of me literally crying out in pain! Then things improved and I have been seeing other techs who are so much more understanding and gentile with the compression machine. Now I’m not getting anxiety attacks prior to my appointments. Now I can bravely go forth! Since my best friend was diagnosed with breast cancer that metastasized to a bone in her leg, I have not been taking these mammograms so lightly any more. And she had been faithfully getting mammograms annually. So it just shows how important the screenings are for every woman of any adult age. The techs, doctors and front staff are always friendly, professional and polite, making things less stressful for patients. The waiting room is comfortable and has plenty of seating available for those busy times of the day. Sometimes my wait time is quick, others have been lengthy. But it’s nice that they have a flat screen TV on the wall for us to watch to diminish boredom. Will I return? Of course!
