Rag Doll has new and used«retro clothing». I always find something here and the prices are right on the mark. It would be nice to see more used than new, but some of the new things still have a vintage feel. The store is clean and tidy and very little selection for men. Mostly shirts or t-shirts. Running a small business with competition right down the street is hard. I encourage anyone that is a fan of vintage to give the store owner feedback so they can think about carrying what you would be more inclined to shop for!

I thought this would be my beacon in a sea of 80s vintage shops, but alas, it was 99.9% , retro-ish, neo-greaserbilly stuff. I think the store is lovely, don’t get me wrong, the clean airy feel, the nicely folded tees, its very boutiquey and the staff is very nice ! When i heard an employee answering the phone with a cheery«Ragdoll Vintage» I couldn’t help but think — where the heck is the VINTAGE?

I’ll try to keep this short… They used to carry primarily vintage clothing, but something has changed. Now they stock mostly t-shirts, «retro» new clothing such as what you might find at VivaLasVegas, some jewelry and a small selection of shoes. I was so disappointed recently when I stopped in to find the rack of vintage clothing simmered down to a fraction of what it used to be ans shoved into the very back of the store. Perhaps they should change the name to «Wanna Be Cliché Rockabilly? Shop Here!» The store is cute, but don’t waste time coming here if you are in need of a hefty selection of truly vintage stuff. In fact, I would skip Sac all together and just scoot on down to SF if that’s what you need. cuz it just ain’t here. So much for keeping it short, eh? ;)

I love Rag Doll, it’s one of my favorite shops in Sac. I mainly love that they order a lot of their dresses from , I no longer have to debate on ordering a certain dress without trying it on because chances are they have it in stock! There’s one lady who works on Wednesdays in the mornings… i think… and she’s a total sweetheart, super helpful.

Cute concept, I was caught up by the vinyl travel bags and the concert posters in the window. I was disappointed to see the ‘go to’ rockabilly brands only being stocked when there are so many other companies and locals selling way more creative stuff. Next time I need a new hot rod vinyl travel bag I am going to be stopping in!

I stopped in to Rag Doll Vintage yesterday after work and came away with a cute dress and a funky top, and wanting a bunch more stuff from this fun store! Their idea of «vintage» skews to the rockabilly or pin-up styles which is cute, timeless and sexy. Most things are vintage, some are new, and they have accessories like belts, handbags, jewelry and those cute flowers for your hair. Once again, in my opinion, a good boutique is well-edited, meaning they don’t just pile in the stuff, but select each piece intentionally. This place really does a great job of editing. Oh, and the prices are great!
