I got my hair done by Tracy towery and I’ve never left a salon feeling as good as I did. She knew exactly what I wanted and styled it so cute! I loved it and will come back to her every time I get my hair done!

ANGELA, does an amazing job!!! Not only is she doing an amazing job with your hair but gives the best advice about hair. She knows her stuff! I highly RECOMMEND TO GO TO HER!

I see Nicole whenever I go here and she’s great! I got my extensions from here and put in by her. I always feel beautiful after seeing her.

Stay away from this place. I called Red Salon Art to set an appointment, and then asked how much my stylist would charge for a single process color. After I described my hair (length, color, how damaged it was, etc) she said it would be $ 65.
I get to the salon only to have Sil (my stylist) tell me that it’s going to be $ 120 because my hair is «too porous at the bottoms and would take more time than usual». Um, ok? I didn’t feel like making a big deal out of it because it took me a month to find an available appointment that fits my schedule, and because I had to drive there all the way from Davis. So I let her proceed. At least I know I’m getting quality work done right? Nope.
I had a blonde balayage, and asked for a dark brown. Simple right? A couple of days later, and after only one wash, I noticed how patchy the color was! It looked as if she missed spots and didn’t go over them! It was very noticeable and embarrassing to say that it was a $ 120 dye job. My mom’s a stylist and dyes my hair all the time, and this had never happened before. I could’ve honestly done it myself and would’ve done a better job, but chose to go to a professional to have it done correctly.
So, I called the salon a week after my appointment and asked to come in to have it fixed. The receptionist couldn’t find an appointment for 3 weeks out. I asked her if it was okay that it would be a month after my appointment, and she assured me that it was fine, and that the salon would take care of it. I set the appointment but grew skeptical so I called the salon back a few days later to make sure Sil would fix my hair, only to have her tell me that it’s already too late to have anything done. I mentioned how the receptionist booked me, and told me that it would be fine, but Sil claimed that the «the receptionist is new» and that «she doesn’t know what she’s talking about». Seriously? How does a salon let an untrained receptionist take phone calls and make appointments? Anyway, Sil told me to speak to the owner of the salon (Kayla) for a solution.
However, I’ve called MULTIPLE TIMES, as in every single day for 2 weeks in order to work something out, and have left so many messages, but still haven’t received a call back.
Clearly neither Kayla nor Sil care about their clients or their reputation.

I have been a customer for 3 years and loved getting my hair done but just recently after I had gotten my hair done about a couple months ago I had gone and had my hair done and was promised to get 40% off if I did a Unilocal review and would of been able to use that «40% off» my next hair appointment, which I did a very good review and was pleased with the outcome of my hair. But I had recently gone to this place last Friday and well I feel like I got screwed over, Veronica told me that she «Mistakenly said 40% off» which she should have told me off the bat that day she did my hair and then she told me «I’m only getting 20%» (which wasn’t much) Unfortunately, I had to cancel cause it was way too much and unreasonable and felt as if I wasted my time trying to get 40% «that she promised me» she did not fulfill her promise but decided to change her mind which is kind of dishonesty to her customer … Then she said «I’m wasting her time when she could be with other customers .» For me that’s bad business and not a honest hair salon so I will be going to a better one. I cancelled and left I will no longer come here… they lost a good client.

This review is strictly for Amy Barnes. She is the best! It doesn’t matter what I’m getting done, whether it be a cut or color treatment, I always leave happy. She is incredibly talented and is honest about what styles and colors work best, which goes a long way.
I cannot say enough good things about her.

I’ve been seeing Kayla for over 5 years. My X uses her as well. Hair cuts and color are always consistent. Always friendly and communicative. She is always positive and upbeat no matter what is happening outside in the world which is refreshing.
I always ask her for her recommendations before I make any drastic changes. I get bored with my hair quickly and fortunately, I have Kayla who keeps me well grounded in my options, what the long run expense would be regarding maintenance and time. I have long hair in a Mohawk and it’s good to know that Kayla is there.

So a couple months ago i got my hair done at the red salon i got hair extensions and my hair dyed, i spent $ 945 on just my hair, my hair did look gorgeous and the lady that did my hair was incredibly friendly, but my hair extensions did not stay in for the time that they were supposed to, i had to go back a week later to get them re-​tightened and then one day while i was at work one just fell out it was a little embarrassing so after having to go there constantly i started to get a little irritated, so i wanted to speak to the manager to see if there was something that i could do, i never could get a hold of the manager it seemed like she was always trying to avoid me and i felt like she just didnt really care about how i felt. It was frustrating for me so i stopped going there after i realized that no one was going to hear me out.

Jennae did an amazing job blowing out and styling my hair for my wedding. She really listened to what I wanted and put her on unique spin on it. I appreciated her patience and attention to detail to give me the most beautiful wedding hair I could have asked for!

Had my hair highlighted today and I loveee my hair! Kayla did a beautiful job! Blonde highlights with no orange whatsoever which is very difficult to achieve on Asian hair in one visit.
She is extremely knowledgeable and very professional. I highly recommend Kayla!

This was my very first time here at Red Art Salon, and I would have to say this is the best salon experience I’ve had by far! I read the reviews about the stylists and had to schedule an appointment with Jennae! She is so young and talented and provided me with a wonderful experience! Unfortunately, I got a little sick while I was in there *note to self* eat something after you get your blood drawn. As sick as I was, she never made me feel uncomfortable or awkward. She was very understanding and accommodating the entire time. She has a great energy about her too — very kind, gentle, mature, sociable, and all around down to earth. The stories that she told me were hilarious! You’d never guess her age! She definitely is an old soul as she says.
She provided a great experience — as enjoyable and pleasant as it could be for me. She actually cares about her clients and is very passionate about her work. She is so THOROUGH and CREATIVE. She also does more than just hair. She worked diligently on my hair — it took 4 hours for the complete session and even offered to stay after hours to curl my hair. As much as I wanted to, I had to go find something to eat! She had 2 clients that day — the first client started in the morning and left around 3pm which was the time of my appointment. She put the time and effort into my hair and paid attention to the details to make sure I was happy and satisfied. She did an ombré for me, and I also opted for the Olaplex treatment. She even provided me with a little bottle of Olaplex to take home! Best product ever! In total, I paid $ 200 ($ 140 ombré, $ 40 treatment, $ 20 tip). Next time, I will probably get a hair cut ($ 50) instead of the treatment. It is pricey, but you get what you pay for right? She also mentioned a scalp massage and I’m wondering if it was included?
She takes her time doing her work, and I highly appreciate that. If you need your hair done RIGHT she is your girl! I can’t wait for my next session to go more blonde. She advised me that going the desired color blonde would take more than 1 session otherwise my hair would probably fall off. Thanks girl for your expertise, professionalism, accommodation, and fabulous personality! I am very blessed to have found Jennae! I also noticed how skilled the other stylists were. As a collective, they are fantastic also! I will definitely be back and hopefully soon!

I parked in the City Hall garage and they comped me five dollars!

Jennae did my hair and makeup for my wedding day yesterday and it couldn’t have been more perfect. She made me look and feel beautiful yesterday. I cried during our ceremony and not a smudge of makeup came off. It was just perfect! Besides her makeup/​hair artistry, she is super sweet. There isn’t enough stars to explain how great she really is! Thanks Jennae, wonderful job!

Thank you Jennae!!! So happy I found Jennae and this salon! I came in with weird copper highlights from another salon and she color corrected my hair beautifully! I absolutely love it! She was able to keep some of the highlights in the front and make it a rich natural brown. Jennae is amazing and she treated my hair as if it were her own. Go see her and you’ll be in really good hands!

I love this place!!! I don’t do my hair very often and have a hard time retouching it every six weeks but every time I came here I walked out with something edgy whether it was color or cut. I like to keep my hair short either a bob or an a-​line. I’ve had some crazy colors such as purple, blue, red, multi color, etc. I usually do a peekaboo style so I can just let us grow out until my next apt and it doesn’t look bad. One thing I like about colors that Ivan has used in my hair is that it doesn’t dry out my hair and lasts a very long time… Months. It usually fades by then but it doesn’t look ugly. Ivan is great at what he does and I love his work.

Jennae is THE best!
Last Friday was my first time attending Red Art. I searched through Unilocal for a new salon since my usual stylist at Deeda had a 2month wait –_​_​–
For anyone, it is a bit scary going to someone new, but I read nothing but great reviews on Jennae, so I took a risk!
I came in with clip in extensions to be installed & cut/​styled for Vegas. Jennae was able to successfully do everything I wanted. She even educated me on a few things about hair & also had great conversation about other things!
I was super satisfied with my hair & would definitely make future hair appointments with her!

After finally working up the courage to bring color back to my hair I found Veronica! She was so kind and was willing to talk to me about everything. It felt like I was really having my hair done by a friend. Before I started going to her my hair was dry and boring. She brought it back to life and I’m constantly complimented! Whenever anyone asks about a stylist I immediately recommend her. She’s always easy for me to get in touch and she always answers as soon as possible. I won’t be going anywhere anytime soon!

Searched google for a salon in Sacramento after recently moving to the area. Found great reviews on Unilocal and called, they scheduled me for a same day appointment.
My stylist was Stacy, she was amazing! I got a cut and color. She was super sweet and friendly. She made me feel welcome and comfortable. She took the time to understand my hair and listen to what I wanted. We chatted about life and hobbies, she seemed genuinely interested in what I had to say, not just asking out of courtesy. She did a great job! I completely changed my hair style and it looks great! I highly recommend going to see Stacy for your hair! I will be going back again!

Attention blondes! Go see Amy! I have really long blonde hair and I am sooooooo picky about who/​how it’s done. Amy was great! I’m a platinum blonde so I’m always worried about someone frying it, but it’s three days later and my hair feels nice and soft, also when my hair was wet, she was very gentle when combing it! Ladies I’m sure you know how annoying it is when it feels like you hair is getting ripped out by the comb! None of that nonsense here. I highly recommend the place. I know that I will be going back!
Also they validate parking for across the street in the parking garage.

Kayla has been doing my hair on and off for 7 years. She is the owner and she is very good. She knows her stuff that’s for sure.. Everyone their assistants and all are very nice and helpful. They even put quarters in my meter for me when it ran out :) I had to be out of there at a specific time and even came 20 minutes late and they had 2 people drying my hair at once to make sure my time was good… thanks kayla!

I have been getting my hair done by Angela for a few times now. Each time she did a great job! She’s amazing at coloring hair and have not disappointed. She’s friendly and makes you feel very welcomed. Definitely highly recommend to everyone!
