I take all my recyclables to RePlanet. This recycle facility is actually located in a trailer tucked away in an unused part of the parking lot in the shopping center off Florin Road and the 5 FWY. The hours here are very limited and the portable facility is not very big. Thus, when the trailer is full this facility will close regardless of the posted hours… just thought I would throw that out there. So if you have a bunch of stuff to recycle from that holiday party or from picking up trash by the river or whatever it is you do its a good idea to get there early.
A final note on plastic recyclable is that its not all about beer and water bottles. Although # 2 plastics show a lower rate on the board, they are significantly heavier than other plastics and have a much higher return. Some examples of #2 «HOPE» plastics are liquid laundry detergent containers, automatic dishwasher soap bottles, and contact lens solution bottles.
