Beware. Rodrigo’s is closed. Just learned that they’re moving to garden highway effective May 1.

Came to this restaurant for the first time and it has a vibe of chevys, or el torito. We had complimentary ceviche was really good from our waiter and he made us the best micheladas drinks just right on flavor and clamato juice. It was on a Sunday morning so it wasn’t busy buy the waiter checked on us often just see how we were doing. They have kereoke machine so some people sang some songs. Nice place to go and have drinks and hangout.

I am so happy we chose Comal to eat tonight. Thelma was our server and she is the friendliest, most efficient server I’ve seen in a long time. We were eating with our elderly mom, and she was so attentive and sweet to her. Most servers would ignore an elderly woman, but not Thelma! The food was GREAT! I had the 2 item combo. I chose a chicken enchilada and a chicken chimichanga. Both were really good, but the best part was the rice and beans! They were outstanding! We will definitely be back again soon! Thanks for the wonderful dinner and even better service!

I went today and I really love this place… Strawberry margarita, very good company and the live band plays very well… I definitely return another Thursday.

Called to place a take-out order on Saturday night, online it clearly shows the restaurant closes at 10, called around 9:40, they said the kitchen closes at 9:30 on Saturday night. No, your kitchen staff is just lazy.

Ordered a chicken nachos and split it with the boyfriend. Pretty darn tasty. Sat in the bar area which had a fun lively crowd. If you don’t like loud places you should eat in the restaurant area. There was a band playing tonight that was fantastic! Great foods, service, and environment, will be coming back often!

Food is awful and not worth the money. Spend $ 30 for my husband and I on dinner thinking it would be really good… Adalbertos is better than this place. Don’t waste your time or money here.

Food & drinks are better with the new owner. Guac was not very good. I make it way better. Anyway, service was excellent!

Good food? Check. Good customer service? Check. Good drinks? Check. I am pretty picky about where I eat my Mexican food in Sacramento. Rodrigo’s is currently one of two of my favorite places.

Oh my god it feels so good to be back home in California for a weekend on real authentic Mexican food yeah that’s what I’m talking about. We walked in we were seated immediately for lunch. Chicken enchiladas were excellent when I come to visit my sister I always want to come to this place give it a try it’s pretty damn good. Samuel was a waiter he was excellent he consistently checked on us to make sure we were good and the bartender at the time was Miguel and that margarita was really stiff.

Went here for an event my coworker was throwing. Not many guests showed up and we didn’t order anything. However, the servers greeted us w free chips and salsa and checked on us often. Thank you! ;);)

Not pleased at all! Loved them when they were Celia’s. Now that it’s Rodrigos it’s a hot ass mess! They have a buffet that only has a few items. But I could make do except for the beans. They serve the beans buffet style with no cheese. They said it was because not everyone likes cheese but they charge you if you ask for it for your buffet. Used to be my favorite place to eat on a Friday for lunch. Won’t ever have to worry about me again. Tastes not bad, attitude and business practices are terrible though.

Ok, was soooooo hoping for new owners & a new everything. Nope, didn’t care for this place when it was Celia’s & they didn’t change my opinion. Sad, I sooooo wanted a GOOD mex place. Hit a taqueria !!! Servers were sweet & attentive but the food is still blah. :(

Used to be pleased, not on my last visit and haven’t been back since I found a better spot. It wasn’t the customer service, jus the beans. So sad, something as simple as beans gone wrong smh.

While spending some quality time with my family, the usual topic came up as to where to go for dinner? Immediately, my sister and brother-in-law chimed in that Rodrigo’s Comal was THE place to go! I had never heard of them before, so I was curious to check this establishment out. Their location is a very short drive from my parent’s house, and I don’t think I would have ever realized that a nice Mexican grill and bar could be noticed by the general public who use the main nearby streets. Micron Ave. is kind of off the main roads in which only the locals would probably be aware of in their neighborhood. The exterior already presented itself with class and warmth. On the inside, we were welcomed and escorted to a booth that was large, roomy and comfortable. Since we arrived for an early dinner, there were not many customers present as yet. And it was a nice surprise for us, that it was also happy hour. Our server Catherine was very nice and helpful with our indecisiveness. The menus had all of the popular Mexican dishes and offered some tempting choices. Even their unique restaurant dinnerware is pretty cute and attractive! We started off with Margaritas at the HH price of $ 4.50 and Negra Modelo for $ 3.50. Complimentary chips and salsa were served as we took our time deciding what to eat. My sister and I ordered their shrimp Tacos de Comal(street style) which are $ 3.00 each. The shrimp were sautéed with onions, tomatoes and cabbage, and then topped with an awesome special sauce that really enhanced the flavors! Very delicious! For an additional $ 2.00, we also ordered our choice of beans and rice. My brother-in-law ordered Chili Colorado with beans and rice. He really enjoyed this dish; however, he loves his hot sauce burning hot. Since the food here is normally served mild, he had to request a spicier salsa, which they had no problem complying. It wasn’t as hot as he would have liked, but still enjoyed his meal despite the lack of «heat». My dad had a taco salad, which he said was OK, but prefers his lettuce to be shredded like he gets at Jimboy’s. Well, you can’t please everyone! This was the perfect spot to end our evening of quality family time together. We enjoyed the service, the atmosphere, the food and drinks, and best of all the company of loved ones! I’m looking forward to coming here again!

Despite reading the reviews, I really wanted to like this place and thought maybe the reviewers were being too harsh. My husband and I like to take our mini-aussie out to eat with us and Rodrigo’s Comal has an outdoor patio. They weren’t super crowded but we had a difficult time getting service. After someone dropped off chips and salsa, we waited about 20 – 30 minutes until I walk inside to order drinks at the bar. We finished the drinks and had to walk inside again to ask if we could get another round and place a food order. After eating and waiting, I walked inside to pay. I was about to leave cash on the bar when the bartender asked if I wanted to pay. Maybe this was a bad night but judging from the reviews, there seem to be a lot of those. The food and drinks however, were very good. If they could improve on the service it would really be a benefit.
