Ben McClara is outstanding with all 3 of my children! He has the patience to help them learn fundamentals and the knowledge to teach them advanced lessons as well. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a great music teacher for their children!

My 9 year old daughter has been getting upright bass lessons for a few months now and is learning a lot, and having fun too. Her bass teacher Ben McClara is a great teacher as are the others at the school. At the last recital, I had a chance to meet the other students and their parents. All seem to love this place. There are even teens and adults enrolled. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to get solid music instruction.

I have worked with Mr. McClara in three distinct musical situations: He has played bass in a professional orchestra accompanying our local community choir, I’ve heard him playing in theater pit orchestras, and he and I have played together onstage. Not only is he a highly professional and excellent musician, but he’s a warm, patient, and outstanding person. His playing is of the highest quality, and I can tell that he’d make an excellent teacher. I look forward to opportunities to work with Ben, and have recommended Sac Prep to students looking for instruction. Couldn’t recommend him or the school more.

Sac Prep is wonderful; I have never, NEVER seen a music educator that cares more about his students, and the importance of imparting the world of music to them than Mr. McClara. Not to gush too incessantly, but he is the most selfless and committed celebrant of all things music of whom I can think. He truly cares about what he is doing, and keeping music available to young musicians, He teaches them with a warm, patient enthusiasm, and a twinkle in his eye. I f you want to impart a sense of wonder, and capability of practice to your student, you can do no better than Sac Prep!
