Service: good service. Don’t expect amazing. Food. Really good. Pad Thai is on point. Spicy beef eggplant stir fry is sweet and yummy. Grilled chicken is alright. Thai style papaya salad is good. Pineapple curry is yum-oh. Highly recommend ordering the pad Thai the most if you come here. Also, the food portion ratio to price is small. 4 adults and 2 kids can out to about $ 69.00. The kids barely ate. After tip $ 80.00. We finished the whole meal. So if you come in a larger group it’s doing to be about 17 – 20 a head. Environment: all types.

Their mango curry is to die for! One of my new favorite dishes. The restaurant has been very quiet and mellow each time we have gone there. Service has been prompt and hassle free. Love that we live right around the corner!

My first time trying this restaurant and I fell in love with the food. They have delicious dessert — rice with mango. And the entrée’s mango curry, Thai fried rice, eggplant with tofu and seafood stir-fry was great as well. They are located in a strange corner within the complex so it was hard looking for the restaurant. Besides that, service and food were great. And they come out fairly quickly. There are lots of parking in the lot. I can’t wait to try the rest of their menu.

My boyfriend loves their hot wings!!! The tum yum(?) soup is bomb! We always get take out from here no matter time of day, how busy they are, etc it is always ready on time 20 minutes. Always put condiments, utensils in there. They definitely care about their customers.

Got take-out here last night and not only did they get the order wrong(I wanted steamed tofu, not fried — I said this twice), it didn’t even taste good. And it wasn’t cheap. Ten bucks! For some eggplant, vegetables, tofu, and sauce. It wasn’t a lot either, two servings tops, one serving without rice which I got. Extra greasy, and the«spicy» garlic sauce had no spice whatsoever. The sauce was just grease basically, hardly any flavor. This was the last time I’ll ever come here. There’s Phở Bac which is close enough to Thai food. Much better ways to spend my calories.

Love Love Love this place! The food is absolutely amazing. The Tom Yum Soup and the Vegetable Deluxe are my favorites. Great dining in and out experience. The best restaurant in the greenhaven/pocket neighborhood.

I’ve wanted to try this Thai restaurant that’s in our neighborhood for quite a while now. Finally went for lunch when our daughter was visiting from out of town. The service was very good. Our server sat us right away and was friendly, had a smile, kept our water glasses filled, brought extra napkins. The food was just ok. My husband loves spicy food and wanted it «Thai spicy» but it barely had any heat. He had ordered the drunkin noodles. The noodles were over cooked, very mushy. I ordered an eggplant w chicken stir fry. The chicken was bland, eggplant over cooked, so soft and the only flavor was sugary sweet. Our daughter ordered a noodle dish also & again, the noodles were overlooked and not a lot of flavor. When we go out for Thai food we want it to have bright balanced flavors, salty, sour, spicy, sweet, textures crunchy, crisp, not mushy soft. Maybe it was just a bad day. Might try 1 more time.

Awesome. One of the few places that will actually make it almost as spicy as Thailand when asking for thai spicy. Two thumbs for getting me to sniffle and tear up a little bit and still be flavorful with the right thai spices at hand.

Yum yum yum ! I came hungry and left very satisfied ! We arrived a little after 5 pm for dinner. There were only a few people dinning in so we had no problems getting a table, the nice server allowed us to sit where we pleased, and took our drink orders right away. We started with the Papaya salad and egg rolls. The Papaya salad was so on point ! A + I loved every bite of my salad !! Egg rolls were good but not extraordinary. They were served hot and crispy with a semi sweet dipping sauce, everyone at the table enjoyed one. Next came the pumpkin curry with a side of white rice. It was delicious !! Flavors were authentic. Slightly spicy, rich and creamy with the basil giving it that distinct eastern asian character. Definitely a winning plate ! The pineapple fried rice was also quite delicious. There was an abundance of pineapples and cashews in the seasoned rice that made the dish so comforting on this grey rainy evening. It was very good! We ordered two noodles dishes, the first one to arrive was the well know pad Thai. I don’t normally care for pad Thai but this particular dish was so well prepared and presented well ! It was at the right temperature, texture, and flavors ! Not too sweet, it was a well balanced dish. Everyone at the table really liked the pad Thai. The other noodle at the table was the drunken kind. This was the least favorite of the night. The noodles were kind of heavy and clumped together. It tasted very bland and boring. Service was so friendly and kind ! We were well taken care of. Ambience was simply updated and clean. I felt like the table was a bit cramped for a party of four. Other then that I really enjoyed dinner tonight and looking forward to trying out some more of their offerings.

Angel Wings were amazing! Deep fried chicken with a delicious stuffing inside, topped with a sweet chili sauce. I could eat this all day. We also ordered a fried eggplant dish, which was also very good. My fiancé doesn’t like eggplant, but he likes this one! Tip: Angel Wings and Fried Eggplant may not be on the menu, but you can order it anytime.

I don’t expect to find much out in the Pocket/Greenhaven area, but this place seemed to be an exception. I ordered some type of red curry with brown rice, which was really good. A friend ordered something different with the same curry in it. I had a lot of curry. No complaints though. Great food. Good service. Very unassuming location. If I’m out this way again I’ll definitely reacquaint myself. Tip: free refills on the Thai ice coffee(is that the norm?)

Good green curry– the vegetables were cooked just right and spices were on point. Their drinks were also very good. My Thai iced tea didn’t come from a can. My wife ordered young coconut juice and they opened up an actual coconut and brought it to the table. Downside though is they were out of white rice(at a Thai place!). Crispy duck was also really salty. The place is good if you’re craving Thai food and don’t want to venture outside of the pocket.

*****This review is for take out only Pad this is delicious– and they give you a good amount of peanuts. Chicken mango curry is one of my faves. Spicy and sweet with plenty of veggies. Thai iced tea is good– not too sweet. I always ask for light ice. Tom kha is great– and they give a great portion for take out. Great customer service, great food at a good price. They have $ 7.49 lunch specials, and happy hour. Not knock your socks off amazing, but great for the Pocket Area. 2 thumbs up!

Second time here and I must say, «why have I not been eating here my whole life!». Up until my last visit I have never had Thai food(and am in still belief It’s taken this long to try it). The food is amazing and taste unbelievably fresh! This time my other half and I tried out the thai fried rice with pork and it’s the best I’ve ever had! I will only eat it here its so good! –Nicely decored inside –Take outs left and right –Place is buzzing with people and food still comes out at an appropriate time Overall food is just ridiculously tasty and yummy and my last two visits I’ve felt very relaxed, full and satisfied when leaving. Can’t wait to come back again!

Not the best thai food, but it’s the only thai restaurant in greenhaven. Food here is okay, I definitely had better. Only tried their #16 tom yum soup, #41 chicken curry, and #55 pad thai. Tried their chicken and tofu here and it’s okay — the chicken is too big and chewy. There’s a lot of seats, service is okay — the food does take a while. I only come here since I live less than 5 minutes away.

This newly established Thai restaurant replaced the Mexican restaurant that used to be here. The interior is updated and décor relates more to the Thai setting(obviously); it looks more simple and modern. The waitress was friendly and efficient. My siblings and I ordered larb, drunken noodles, and a curry dish. Our food came out all together and we did not have to wait long. Honestly, the food here is good but nothing wow’d me from my experience here. Being that I don’t know if there is another Thai place in the Pocket area, it is nice to know there is one now! Check it out for yourself and let me know what you think!

I finally had a chance to try out my local neighborhood new Thai restaurant. Let’s get the elephant out of the room. The food was definitely savory… very SAIVAREE. OK phew that’s out of the way, let’s get on to the review. Sai Varee was a bright and spacious restaurant located on the corner of one of the many buildings in the Promenade mega-strip-mall-shopping-center. There was plenty of seating(makes me worry a little since it was Friday night) and everything was clean and nice Thai pop music was wafting from the ceiling speakers. I’m a noodle maniac so the first thing I had to try was the Tom Yum noodle soup. And yes, the soup was yummy yum YUM. The kids had the pad thai and wife had an eggplant stir fry dish. Everything was good and everyone enjoyed their food. I look forward to trying many new things from their special chef’s choice menu. The service was delightful and fast, and the ladies were friendly and made me feel very welcome. I will definitely be a regular here and can’t wait to discover new and wonderful Thai dishes. C’mon Pocket Peeps, let’s pack this place!

Our new favorite Thai restaurant to eat it! The food was delicious! My wife ordered the pineapple fried rice! We loved it, especially as they use fresh pineapple as opposed to canned. The meal was hot and we were served a generous portion for the price! I ordered the green curry! Best green curry I’ve ever had! I loved the eggplant and the perfect amount of spice! The service was decent, but on the slow side for there only being 8 people in the restaurant. Our server was very attentive to filling up our waters, however it took about 10 minutes to get the bill after we were done eating. Their prices were 10−15% lower than the competition! We paid $ 23 total for the pineapple fried rice, green curry, Jasmine rice and a draft beer! If we could give half stars, I’d rate this place 4.5 For now it’s 4 stars, we will be back for sure though!

Why all the angry pandas?! My coworker and I came in for lunch at 11:30am and were treated to delicious, flavorful dishes by a very sweet and helpful server. No one was in the restaurant until noon, even though they open at 11am, so perhaps that made a difference. We browsed their lunch menu: all entrees(rice and salad included) are $ 7.49 for chicken/pork/tofu veggie or $ 9.49 for beef/shrimp/mix seafood. I asked for drunken noodles(no rice included with noodle dishes) with tofu/veggies from their lunch menu with a special request to omit fish sauce. Our server politely replies«Oh vegan, ok no problem. Just to let you know, we don’t put fish sauce in the drunken noodles. Just the dark soy sauce and garlic chili sauce.» So good to know! Our food came out very quick yet tasted fantastic. We didn’t get to choose a heat level, but the flavor was excellent with enough heat for us to wipe our brows and blow our noses throughout the meal. My coworker ordered the green beans with chicken in a red curry paste sauce and brown rice, and she said it was amazing. We needed something sweet to offset the spice and heat, so we chose to share the mango with sweet sticky rice dessert. Lawd oh lawd was that tasty! She never had the dessert ever, and I’m proud to say she’s officially hooked. It came with 2 sliced halves of mango, a heaping serving of pretty green sticky rice in the middle, and covered with sweet coconut sauce. We both wished we’d ordered our own as we couldn’t finish our servings fast enough, it was that good. I have also placed a to go order for the lunch special spicy eggplant with tofu/veggies & brown rice, with a special request once again to omit fish sauce. Twice now they were very accommodating, and thankfully my lunch was indeed fish sauce free. I called at 11am, was told 15 – 20 mins, and my food was ready when I arrived 20 mins later. It doesn’t look like a huge serving, but it definitely was plenty of food for lunch and a meal later. An extra thank you for taking the time to separate the entrée from the rice and salad so the sauce wouldn’t spill and/or make the rice mushy. I didn’t request this, but it did not go unnoticed! The absolute best part of this restaurant– NOMSG!!! Thank you a million times for this, as those of us with severe msg allergies sincerely appreciate this. A big kudos to Sai Varee for several great visits. We tend to forget about this shopping center with all the various stores and new restaurants popping up, but you’ve made it memorable. I think we found our new favorite Thai spot for lunches!
