Very small store but excellent prices on different breads. The cashier was very friendly and informed me that the earlier I get there the bigger selection.

Fresh bread/bagels for amazingly cheap prices. I feel cheated every time I buy bread for absorbent prices anywhere else. If you don’t see what you want on display, you can ask if they have it in stock in the back. Be careful of the sourdough because some loaves aren’t sliced(for bread bowl purposes). I made that mistake once and had to tediously slice the huge loaf by hand, not fun. The neighborhood is a bit unsavory so I recommend going during daylight hours. There’s a security guard but what is he really going to do for you if anything happens?

Someone should fix the map location. Anyways… Cheap variety of bread — white, wheat, 7-grain, potato, buttermilk, honey wheat, oat, crushed wheat; you name it and they probably got it for less than $ 1.25. Go somewhere else and you’ll be paying nearly $ 4 for one of those fancy loaves. Also, packs of hot dog and burger buns that are also cheap when you throw that spring or summer cookout. Bought 3 dozen hot dog and burger bun packs for less than $ 5 on several occasions. I don’t recommend buying snacks(candy, cookies, sodas, nuts, trail mix, chips, packaged pastries, etc.) here though because they’re slightly more costly than the supermarket. Unless they have their 4/$ 1 shopping cart packed full of goodies!

On certain days, the Sara Lee factory makes the entire neighborhood smell like bread. I live right next to the discount bakery and walk over once every few weeks to stock up on bread. You can get great loaves of bread for $ 0.75 to $ 1.50! The bread is exactly what you find in the supermarkets, but the price can’t be beat. They also sell other stuff(snacks, drinks, pastries), so come check it out when you’re in the neighborhood! You will never buy overpriced bread from the supermarket again!
