I love the chicken tender strio! so soft, moist and not dry at all. The rotisserie chicken was good too much better than foodsco! Actually we just started shopping for savemart pastry and it is a lot very good better than foodsco. we are foodsco shoppers because of the cheaper advertise sales but recently tried Savemart hot food to go and we noticed the big difference in food quality and taste. wow! price a little bit pricy but excellent quality! love love the quality of good foods, we’ll continue for the hot food. Savemart please put baked chicken on the menue.

This is my neighborhood store. I go here about 4⁄5 times a week. Most of the employee’s aren’t very friendly, but I’ve learned to over look that after 3yrs. There Is one employee whom is always guaranteed to give you a friendly greeting, a warm smile and very helpful. His name is Darryl(115652) a great access to this company. Their produce section is excellent and meat is fresh. It’s always clean and that’s why give savemart full stars.

Man this place is expensive as shit! Only time i come here is when they have tri tip on sale other than that i dont be messin with save mart. The produce is pretty pricey i was gonna buy a bottle of wesson canola oil but not for 5 dollars dfoh with that nonsense i took my happy ass to the walmart on florin and paid 2.49 for the same size bottle :) ive never came to this super market and have this store be jam packed not even on the first of the month. If u go across the street tho at the foods co that place is always packed! Theres plenty of parking at the save mart they have a koo lil strip mall but just not something i feel im a get the biggest bang for my dollar. Like i said i’ll come buy stuff thats on sale oh and of u didnt know, u could take save marts ads and take em to food max and they price match it because the are the same store, yes is true ur welcome. Ive done it before considering food max is way closer to my house. Fux wit it!

This place is like walking into the Arctic. That’s great on a super hot day, but on a mild day it is annoying to try shopping for groceries when the environment is like walking on the surface of Pluto. This has happened on more than a couple of occasions. I am guessing there is no such thing as dry storage in this store because everything in there is the same temperature as their walk-in refrigerators. Aside from the ridiculous temperature inside, the courtesy clerks and cashiers are great. They are always helpful and friendly. They all deserve 5 stars. The store itself is pretty standard as far as grocery stores go. I usually find what I need here, and the prices are good. Except for beer. If you’re a craft beer guy like me, this is not the place to settle on a beer for your evening or weekend barbeque. They have tons of the big corporate brewery stuff(Coors, Miller, etc.), but they are limited on quality craft-options. In an age when grocery stores like Raleys, Bel Air, and Safeway are building and growing their local craft beer options(let alone craft beer from across the nation) — Including bomber bottle sections, Save Mart has a ways to go before they catch up to their competitors. Two stars! An easy way to improve this rating is to regulate the temperature in that place and add a craft beer bomber section with local and regional craft beer options. Easy fixes! I should mention that there is plenty of parking aout front and that the store is clean whenever I am there. I don’t hate this store. It’s actually kind of convenient for me. I just think it could, easily, be a lot better shopping experience for everyone.

I usually go to this«savemart» for my last minute stuff… When I went in, in the morning the cashier was rude. I don’t usually like to complain. That morning I went in to turn in my stamps for there pots thing. My sister had her own book and I had my own. But we needed both books to get one item. The casher kept mumbling off to the bagger about why we needed 2 books to get an item. I already explained to him why… he was so unprofessional and rude about the situation. The next time I come here I’m using self check out.(Maybe self check our is the way to go…)

Just shopped here and the cashier was extremely rude. I placed my items down(two cantaloupes and one watermelon) and began to pull my card out. While I was doing that a customer came up behind me and placed their items down. The cashier rang up their items because the customer didn’t put down the item separator. I informed the cashier that the cabbage and carrots she just rang up were not mine. She rudely asked me why I didn’t inform her. I told her I was grabbing my card and didn’t see the customer behind me and that it wasn’t my job to put down the separator. The cashier called her manager over and had him delete the items that weren’t mine. The cashier had an ugly face on the whole time like I ruined her day. It wasn’t even my mistake. The manager didn’t apologize for the inconvenience or anything. I will not be coming back. The higher prices aren’t worth the hassle of employees who have sticks up their behinds.

Nice and clean! The self check out seems to usually be empty when I’m there, so it’s the best when you’re in a hurry or if you don’t wanna wait in line.

Nice, clean, and spacious grocery store. I like how its always clean inside. A big plus is that there’s a Bank of America inside. Very convenient. I took one star off because there’s a Food Co across the street and grocery is cheaper there.

I usually come shop here because it is not as ghetto as the foodco across the street. Regardless of holidays or football season, this place will only have 2 cashiers max, who by the way take there sweet precious time ringing up each item. There is never anyone to help at the self check out if a problem comes up. My best bet is to go during the end of the month and the self checkout with no coupon.

My boyfriend and I shop at this store from time to time because it is conveniently located to my house. Employees are nice, we can always find what we are looking for and the place is kept well stocked, neat and clean despite the less than desirable neighborhood it is located in. Even most of our fellow shoppers are courteous and polite, making it a not so bad place to grocery shop. I try to patronize here when I can since I have a family member who works for the corporation. So I’m all for supporting local businesses and jobs for us Sacramento residents. While prices are usually reasonable, my only recent shopping puzzle was with a purchase of a bunch of already pre-bagged red grapes, that cost me $ 8.22! Never have I paid so much for grapes before! When we questioned the validity of the cost at the register, we were told that yes, it was indeed that amount! I went a head and bought them anyway, because I needed them for a fruit platter I was making. But I’m still scratching my head about whether it was mis-marked or not. Guess I’ll be more careful checking the prices before I make future purchases, especially when I’m in a hurry!

This is my «Go to store» since its less then 5 minutes from my house. Selection is good, though I wish they had diet Dr Pepper. Service is fine, I love the fact that they have the self check out, which always makes things faster. I don see all the shady people joe are referring to, there is a guy that plays the guitar in front of the building sometimes, but hes never bothered me.

I would give no stars if I could. This is the closest store to my house and I will only go if I absolutely have no time to make the trip over to Safeway or Bel Air. The place is a little run down but I don’t really mind that. There are shady people everywhere and I don’t really mind that. The meat selection is dismal and I can accept that. What does matter then? SERVICE. I worked in a Safeway many moons ago and the Store Manager had instilled one thing in each of us employees and that one thing was«Customer Service». Every sector of employment except some government and monopoly agencies depend on customer service and if you can’t deliver than you will be beat out by someone that can. Now I’m used to not getting good customer service but this store lacks even the most basic. At least 2 out of 3 times I went in there they would not even acknowledge my presence(that makes for an awkward time at the check-stand). I would look around at the employees and they just seemed to be miserable and all I could think was: Why don’t you people quit and give that good pay /low skill job to someone that will do it justice. Back to the meat counter. Is this the only grocery store in town that does not have boneless skinless chicken breast? Okay like I said I can live with that so I’ll just press the call button and maybe ask the butcher if this is a regular occurrence… I’ll wait… and wait… 5 to ten minutes later I decide to leave the problem is, that happened more than once! The last straw: I have the ever elusive butcher wrap up a couple of rib-eyes that have a sign in front of them stating that they are $ 5.99/lb I put them in the basket and go grab some potatoes and a couple fixins and when I get to the check-stand I notice that they are labeled $ 8.99/lb I ask to have the price adjusted and they send a «courtesy clerk» to check the price. I wait(about 5 Minutes) and then and there I decided that I was done. I left the basket and walked out of the store and never looked back.
