An art studio and gallery with works for sale by people with developmental disabilities. During the week, the art studio is filled with people coming in for learning and recreational opportunities. During my visit, students were enjoying various media — ceramic, paint, mosaics — while listening to James Brown’s Greatest Hits.(«Whoa-oa-oa! I feel good, I knew that I would, now…») The art that is produced here is affordable, so if you are seeking original and vibrant art, you’ve come to the right place. Some people call it «outsider art.» It’s a term I’ve never appreciated and I think it was invented by art snobs. I’ve seen untrained artists paint circles around formally trained artists. Art comes from the heart, and these artists have plenty of it.(«Whoa-oa-oa! I feel nice, like sugar and spice…») See the picture above for an example of a piece I purchased years back. See also their website: If you’ve been considering buying art, have a look here. You can find the gallery at the top of South Land Park Drive, across the street from the La Bou/Land Park Pharmacy shopping center.
