Terrible customer service, wasn’t even acknowledged when I walked in. When shopping for indian clothes, the employees are usually there assisting you and helping you find what you are looking for since most of the clothes are bagged up and it’s up to them to open them and show you. No one spoke with us, so how were we supposed to buy anything? Such a shame, I saw a few outfit I would have liked to take a closer look at but no one wanted to help us. The shop is very small too so my mom and I were just kind of standing there in the same spot for about 10 minutes until we decided to leave.

I have to give the 5 star to this place, because of the friendliness of the ladies managing the shop. I have been here couple of time and everytime, it turns out to be teh tea time… love the tea which the didi ji’s shares with me. This place has good clothes and prices are very reasonable. The ladies tailor is also good and very friendly. Highly recommend this place. Arrow Bhai

Just before Halloween, I decided to make some additions to my belly dancing costume. At my age, modesty is critical, so I needed some additional matching fabric that would help cover up some embarrassing places on my body. I know Halloween is meant to be scary, but I really didn’t want to go that far! Since the only major chain fabric store close to me was in Elk Grove, my boyfriend and I made an attempt to check out their merchandise. That was scary in itself! The place had long lines of people just waiting to get their chosen materials measured and cut. Not a good time of the year to last minute shop! Then, I remembered that there was a small fabric store close to my neighborhood. I stopped by as soon as I got off work to check out what kind of material was available. As I approached the entrance, I suddenly felt a little intimidated. The two women running the shop kind of stared at me like I must be lost and entered the wrong door. I remained calm and asked if they sold fabric. It was a stupid opening question, but I wanted to break the ice enough to let them know that I was indeed there to make a purchase and not some shady character. After all, this is South Sac. where shady people lurk all over the area. Also, since I didn’t look like the typical customer they cater to, that could have been another reason for the less than warm reception. Once they realized I was a legitimate customer, they quickly went into search mode to help me look for the type of material and color I needed. After looking through the many rolls of fabric in their inventory, the ideal match was found! I was actually surprised to find anything, but very happy that I could wear my costume in confidence. I bought a yard, and the woman made a tiny cut then ripped the fabric right down the line! It kind of scared me, but it apparently ripped straight through without the tedious effort of cutting with scissors. Another pleasant surprise, was the cost! It was only $ 3.98 for a yard! The material seemed to be of good quality, so I was expecting to pay more. While I was there looking, I also wanted to make a note of the whole store itself. They offer made to order clothing for men, women and children. There were ready made suits, Sarees, designer jewelry, even East Indian CD’s &DVD’s. There was a lot of beautiful color displayed throughout the store in fabrics, clothes and bling. The kind of attire that would make any woman feel more attractive!
