Came here for two years and spent tons of money, I walk in for 5 minutes and the older man which is the owner told me I couldn’t smell each one so let’s hurry it up!! he has always been so nice and I told him he just lost 5 customers to that antic, lay off the wine and remember and respect who pays your bills regularly… don’t come here, he has zero patience, and to think I wrote a good review about this place a year ago… Never coming back and neither are the 4 others I tell to come here, you have 100 flavors and didn’t let me smell or try any of them more then 5 minutes. He tried to say sorry to me at the end but once you show a customer your true self. That loyal customer makes sure he doesn’t come back. I just notified the people that go there not to go anymore and they were shocked and are now done with this place.

I recently viewed the gallery’s online collections and their former storefront display. I appreciate that the artists are so skilled and the images, local. And the availability of highest quality reproductions ensure affordable prices for more of us – we can’t all buy originals. Beyond all this, the owner and staff went out of their way recently to help us when my husband’s phone ran out of power and we couldn’t find each other:) Barry hopped on his bike, grabbed the dog and led us to each other. Awwwwww. So beyond the call of duty to help senior tourists! Thank you!!!

If you’re an art student coming in to look at art… don’t let it be known. I came in with a friend who’s working on a school art assignment & asked for a pamphlet of the gallery. Big mistake she was basically chewed out and given major attitude about it not being his responsibility to provide proof to art students & their professors that they visited his gallery. We understand your stance but no need to be grumpy & rude! All I can say is you never know when one of these students may want to come back & buy one of your pieces or better yet what if they became a known artist? If that was me I know for a fact I wouldn’t ever want to sell my artwork there!

friendly atmosphere. staff is always polite, and willing to help as much as possible. the owner(Barry Smith) is very passionate about his work, and really connects with the customers with a passion that i see as scarce in the business world. Great California scenery in the gallery, as well as a large lineup of high quality electric cigarettes and electric cigarette accessories.

Heard about this place from a friend of mine. I was more than impressed with the variety and quality of the artwork. If you are looking for top notch California inspired pieces you will be more than pleased. While the larger originals are out of my budget I was able to pick up a smaller gallery wrapped piece for a great price. I will be back.

This gallery is awesome! My wife and I have bought two pieces from Barry this last year as gifts. The first was as an impromptu wedding gift before our friends got married across the plaza at the cathedral. The second was an affordable new house warming gift for ourselves. We’ve lived in California our entire lives and every painting just speaks to us– you must check this place out for yourself.

Everything at Smith Gallery is easy to like. Art featuring Sacramento icons, California landscapes, and still life that pops out at you. No abstracts or art you have to think about. The Gallery’s selections are vibrant renditions of things you will instantly recognize. In short, it is the stuff most people would hang on their walls. I really appreciate orignal art, but let’s be honest — most of us can’t afford the original. Smith’s offers originals plus a seletion of reproductions that look damn close to the original, mounted just like the original, at affordable prices. So you too can have a four-set panorama of Napa Valley vineyards or California oaks. When people say, «I don’t know art, but I know what I like», they are probably thinking of what is hanging in Smith’s. Definitely worth checking out if you are looking for something special to put on the wall behind your couch.
