Nephew had an assignment in which he had to visit several art museums of choice. Found this location on Unilocal. We were approached by an employee as we walked in. She was very welcoming, helpful and guided us to where we needed to go. Although this place wasn’t what I expected for an art museum… it did have several beautiful murals towards the back of the building and art work along the walls done by children.

3rd stop on Sacramento Museum Day, 2÷6÷10. Sojourner Truth Multicultural Arts Museum is a small museum that’s FREE normally. Sojourner Truth was a Black woman that was a slave. She met Abe Lincoln and was an abolitionist and women’s rights activist. There’s a mural walk you can do to see Blacks in history on the walls. We saw a special performance for the day: Aztec Warriors. It was pretty good. Maybe worth a bit of time if in the neighborhood, not worth a special trip.
