St Robert Church

**This review is regarding their Crab &&Shrimp feed, not the actual church or school itself!**
Crab feeds are already amazing, but St. Robert’s is belly bulging amazing!
It should be said, it was actually a Crab && Shrimp feed.
As a typical money making endeavor, they try to sell you everything, which is okay — it should be expected when you are coming to one of these.
Raffle tickets, various colors and deals. This was a different fundraising tool — they sold keys… like the one you use to get into your house. These keys could open up the treasure chest, which had 4 $ 100 bills. Gimmicky, probably, but I was suckered, I wanted my chance to walk up there and try to open a treasure chest, who wouldn’t?
The food! They started us off with garlic bread. Then quickly after the brought out the anit-​pasta plate, which included tuna tar tar, olives, mushrooms, garlic, salami, cheese, carrots, and celery. Sometime later, came the salad. I was pleasantly surprised that there were small pieces of avocado in the salad, it made me smile! Then came fresh rolls. Then they brought out a pan of spaghetti. I know, seriously… they try to fill you up on all the other goodies before the good stuff comes out. This isn’t our first rodeo, so we knew better… we paced ourselves. They also brought out a carafe of red wine, even though there were selling it during their no host cocktail hour. Then came the good stuff, what we all were waiting for… crab & shrimp! They were not stingy and they kept refilling our bowl, multiple times. Everything was fresh and tasted delicious… I just wish it was hot crab & shrimp.
The great servers were, I’m assuming the kids who attend St. Robert’s, were amazing. So polite and helpful, they really seemed like great kids.
Your seats are pre-​selected, so no having to arrive early to grab good seating. Always remember to bring CA$H to these things, they have a lot of stuff to sell you — raffle tickets & booze, to be exact ;)
Seriously, this is one of the best Crab Feeds in Sacramento. $ 40 gets you stuffed beyond belief, great atmosphere, and all for a good cause.
Next year I’ m wearing sweats… don’t judge ;)
