Nice Stop For Coffee Amidst Coffee Mecca Location SITREP The irony is, I was going to an event at Pachamama Coffee Roasters(Pachamama), but it was open to the guests yet, and I was an hour early. So I headed to this Starbucks and redeemed my reward for a Sweet Greens Pressed Juice here. Delicious. THESETUP I look down J Street and I see the indie coffee shop Pachamama, along with Peets, both within a block, and along with other coffee stops nearby as well. This area of East Sacramento does not want for coffee shops! SPACIOUS! It’s a great roomy set-up, perfect for posting for a couple of hours and for some meet-ups at the big table in the front of the store. Lots of nice computer bars along the edges as well. P-A-T-I-O! Then there is this patio that itself is spacious with lots of tables and the perfect view of J Street pedestrian traffic and a still strong WiFi signal that reaches outside. THELOWDOWN Excellent Starbucks stop in East Sacramento if you enjoy this coffee branding in particular.

It’s often hit or miss with Starbucks. For example, there’s one further down on J Street in Midtown that I’ll never go back to because I felt so unwelcome and left feeling really creeped out. But this location in East Sac is really one of my favorites. It’s cozy and there is a lot of seating. The baristas are friendly without being annoying and I especially like Ed who is sweet and kind and makes the most excellent latte you’ll ever have. Tip: get your coffee there but your donuts across the street from Stanelys(not a typo). They’re yummy and they always give you a few donut holes no matter what you order.

My favorite starbucks as it has the best staff here :) But in all seriousness, its a great location with a good amount of room and it generally isn’t loud. I come here as my go-to starbucks where i meet my clients and people i mentor. The staff sees we on a daily. Always clean and always open… until 7PM. I don’t get why but it they were opened until 10pm… it would be the best. Pros: Staff, clean, roomy Cons: Hours Stars: 4

For this East Sacramento location of Starbucks, it never goes out of style for many decades ago. It has everything from their creations of drinks and great atmosphere for the customers too. As I entered their doors, it’s much warming and friendly as I welcomed there for the first time at this J Street location. The concept is much the same as most Starbucks has with the decors, designs, and furnitures too. The baristas are doing an excellent job for making the customers like me a great service. No cons at all! Every drinks and food at this Starbucks are very tasty and slurpable from lattes to mochas especially their Refreshers and Frappuccino. I ordered the Cool Lime Refresher; tall sized today on 2÷19÷2016, and it’s such a great drink after I slurp the entire cup. Refreshing indeed. Parking at this J Street Starbucks can be difficult to park. You can park at the nearest surface street parking available. Otherwise, you can ride a bike, walk, or use public transportation easier without the hassles. In the end, Starbucks at J Street is the finest Starbucks location that I visited right in the East Sacramento neighborhood. Perfect for studying, friends and family gatherings, & much more! A worthy visit. My rating: 4 solid stars.

This used to be my all-time favorite Starbucks… until it was renovated in 2014. It went from a warm, homey, inviting store to black and white, stark, and blah. The big kitchen table, which was donated to the store by someone in the neighborhood a decade or more prior and was a gathering place for neighbors, was thrown out. The new seating is not as inviting and some of the high tables were falling apart the last time I went there. I no longer frequent this location because, for me, it has been ruined. Plus, the new manager is not as friendly as those who have managed this location in the past. She doesn’t speak to many customers and never smiles. The art wall, where local artists were able to showcase their work, was also removed. RIP38th& J homey Starbucks. You are missed.

Wow. I have been to this Starbucks before without any issues, but after tonight’s experience I won’t be going back. I wasn’t sure if they were open until I watched a couple walk in. I followed behind them with my boyfriend at 6:58pm. We were not acknowledged by either of the two baristas. We awkwardly stood at the register while barista Summer made the couple in front of us’ drinks. We started to debate if they were open or if we should leave since we were unapologetically and obviously not welcome in the store. When Summer was done with the other drinks she still did not greet us. I ordered my drink. She rudely asked my boyfriend if he was ordering anything and he said no. She told me the price and ran my card without a thank you or any other conversation. As soon as I stepped aside she rudely yelled for the other barista to stand by the door and tell people not to come in because they were closed. It was now 7:01pm(one whole minute after they close, yet 59 minutes before their Unilocal profile lists). She kept going with explaining that the other barista had to keep people from coming in because they were closed. In case you forgot, we were paying customers and were still in the store. Also, we came in before they closed. The only redeemable part of the interaction was the other barista’s sense of humor about the incredibly awkward situation. She said, «were closed by the way» in a joking tone as she held the door open for us. Also the coffee was good. However, I will gladly take my business to the Pete’s next door, since they know how to provide at the very least, adequate customer service.

Fairly typical Starbucks. Ice tea good, if a little expensive. Friendly staff.

Of the 3 Starbucks I frequent, this location is my FAVE! The staff are all super friendly and handle the crunch of rush times with grace and efficiency. The addition of a Clover Machine only adds to my delight in this Starbucks location. Everyone greets me by name when I walk in the store and most have my drink memorized. I know that this is a training facility, but you could never tell by the service. My drink is always right when I leave, which is more than I can say for the 2 locations near my home. All in all I’d have to say that this is by far the BEST Starbucks in the Sacramento area!

Starbucks are all pretty much the same, it is usually the staff and location that makes it unique. If you can get past the entitled snobs, snotty stay at home soccer moms and surgically enhanced cougars fresh out the O.R. that often frequent this place, it is actually pretty nice. Staff and baristas are awesome! Never have they messed up my drink, then again I order like a normal human being.

Let me just say, this is THEONLY Starbucks location I frequent. Every time I enter, I almost expect people to shout«Norm!» In my case«Jill!» Basically, they do know my name, and my drink… Friendly, speedy service and delicious coffee… love the remodel as well, always making customers more comfy! Ed, Alyssa, Camille, Summer… friendly and happy to see me every time!

This is the worst starbucks I’ve gone to. The baristas completely ignored me while I waited at the register to order. When I did finally order the barista was rude and unfriendly. And to add insult to injury this location was sloooooow!

Correction, this place is the worse. We came in as they were closing, I understand. But did you really have to serve us the armpit leftover coffee grounds?

I just moved to East Sacramento, and this Starbucks is close to my house. I have been there 6 times and each time they messed up my drink. I always order the same thing, but somehow they always screw it up– it’s too hot, they don’t use soy– one time they just completely made the wrong drink. I went on Friday at 11 am and they didn’t have soy milk. That was the last time I’ll walk in there. Too much disappointment from a company I have been a loyal customer to for years. I’m going to see if there’s a coffee shop in the hospital.

Friendly Baristas, plenty of seating, both inside and outside. Always fun to sit outside on J St. & watch the people and traffic go by. This is centrally located when I’m out & about.

I like this location. Friendly staff and it’s always squeaky clean. My only question is: why does it close so early?! The handful of times that I have been to this location included only myself and maybe only one other customer. Awesome, fast services! I wish they were open just another hour, but I’m super glad about how early they open up!

How can people smile this much so early in the morning? This has become my regular go-to Starbucks, not only because it is the closest to my house, but because the baristas are nice and the drinks are fast and consistent. If there is a line, it moves at a quick clip, so while I may sigh and leave when I see a line almost out the door at any other location, here I know they will get me in and out in minutes. After a couple visits, those smiles I mentioned become contagious.
