They charge me tax every time even though I don’t get my sub toasted or eat there. Seriously get it together! Such a hassle to deal with. At least they take coupons.

I usually don’t leave reviews for chain restaurants/fast food, but I like to give credit when it’s due. This is by far the best Subway ever. I stopped in while I was in the area and needed something quick. Sarah made my sandwich efficiently and also did not hesitate to pack my sandwich. Customer service is definitely important to this location. The restaurant is also clean and kept tidy. I highly recommend this specific location to fulfill your sandwich cravings!

SAMEPRICEAS A SUSHIROLLANDALMOSTASSKINNY! I do not ever expect to have an ideal meal at Subway franchises, but this location seemed to still disappoint. I live very near to this establishment, but Let’s review I guess. QUALITY/SELECTION: 1⁄5 I have best heard of Subways portions of meat described as «shots.» Considering I have had larger shots at a bar, this is somewhat of an understatement. Double meat is still less than a regular serving at other sandwich places, not that you would want more of the sub-par, rubbery chicken or sloppy tuna. The veggies are all soggy. This location also seems to be always out of some items. AMBIENCE: 1⁄5 The inside is very small and not prepared for the large amount of state employees that come here on lunch. The taped up signs informing of sales tax are annoying. Have people really had that many problems with sales tax in order for them to tape up printed pages of white paper? For some reason, the soda machine leaks water from the front while dispensing sodas. Very good craftsmanship. As I do not usually dine in, I would not care very much; the main thing that hurts the ambience of this Subway is the attitude of the employees… PRICE: 2⁄5 The meat portions are terrible, the produce sucks, the bread is meh, but at least you can stack up about 2 lbs of veggies on your bread. It may not be very good, but it fills you up. SERVICE: 1⁄5 Much like getting a score for only writing your name on the SAT, I give a 1 only due to the fact that the guy serving me was not a complete idiot. I had to repeat what I wanted a few times, but he got it done in the end. I feel for him, as he was probably going slow due to the fact that two other employees were sitting on their lazy asses not working. Good work ethic. He finally called for one of them to cash me out so that he could make more sandwiches. The young lady was nice enough to not have any eye contact, not tell me the total, and not give me a soda cup. The other girl was just sitting there. OVERALLIMPRESSION: I understand that the owner wants to save money. He or she wants to cut costs at every turn. They basically have the market cornered with state employees, so why even try right? They will still herd themselves in for any food that you will offer. And why pay your employees enough for them to even smile when you can just fire them and find any other college graduates? This«cost effective» form of management may be better for the owner, but the consumer sure as hell feels the effects. Go down to the Sandwich Spot on Q and 16 or whatever and get a better sandwich.

This is an average ran Subway. The staff isn’t always in the happiest moods. I went in on my lunch break and the line was packed. Be warned for long lunch lines if you plan on going here. You will be in line for around 10 minutes or so. One star off is for the long lines. The second star off is because the cashier charged me extra because he assumed we were dining in. Even though I specifically told him that the order was to go. It’s kind of bad when they don’t know how to listen. Probably won’t be going here very often. Maybe once in a while if I have no where else to go. Tip: Try to avoid long lunch lines by going in a little early for lunch.

Went in yesterday in the late afternoon and there was only had one customer in front of us. There were at least 3 people working there and one lady spent the whole time complaining about how another worker before didn’t prep or clean blah blah blah… The sandwich was sitting there the whole time. She tried to put produce on it even though she never added the chicken teriyaki sauce. Hello it was a chicken teriyaki sandwich. After she took her time putting 5 olive pieces and two of the smallest prices of tomato on it finally the irritation was over. This place is consisently slow and will add minimal of anything to save money. Also, I have tried to use subway coupons here every time I’m told they are privately owned and not participating. The other subway by the downtown plaza on j is faster and friendlier and have taken my coupons. Not sure if the owner is different, but there is a difference in service.

This Subway is aight. It’s close to the downtown office building scene but is a nightmare during lunch hour. These sandwich artists, depending on who you get, are good, healthy with the veggies(none of this sprinkling two onion halves and calling it good nonsense), but way too slow. I know that when I stop in here, I need to have a good half hour to spare. There’s not a lot of room for a line, or to sit down inside. There are patio spots though, so that’s good. They do what they can for being attached to a State Building.

I don’t expect much from a subway but this place managed to even disappoint me. There are signs up throughout the store that state when you should pay sales tax on orders. When I was going to pay for my sandwich I noticed there was tax and brought it to the persons attention that there should be no tax since my sandwich was not heated and I was not dinning in. The person at the register said the machine adds tax so that is the way it is. I then contacted the business directly and through the website but have not received a response after many attempts. This place not only doesn’t understand their own policies they can’t even take the time to respond to an inquiry. The lack of concern explains why fast food workers get paid what they do.

Hey Subway manager… put the correct amount of meat and toppings like other subways and maybe you’ll get more business. Update: 12−30−15 This location is getting better. They must of let go of that one guy that was shorting me on meat. It was getting on my nerves. Now Subway fixed the problem.

I decided to come to this Subway location on a Thursday around 1 p.m. over my lunch break. It’s pretty much your average Subway with nothing that stands out as remarkably good or bad. There is both indoor and outdoor seating to chose from and it’s located next to Chocolate Fish if you want to grab your sandwich at the same time. The line was very short at 1 p.m. and the service pretty efficient, but kind of sloppy too. I ordered a Veggie Patty 6″ inch sandwich and when I asked for mustard, at least part of the squirt landed outside of the bun. I already know I’m not going to get evenly smeared condiments on a Subway sandwich, so my expectations are already low. There are many better lunch options that are a short drive away, but this place is fine if you are in a rush and already nearby.

VERY disappointed in this Subway. The service /management is horrible. Rude and unfriendly. As a pervious Unilocaler stated, they do skimp on toppings. I tried to order a kids sandwich and was told that they only offer it in the flat bread. The only reason that they are doing well must be that they are one of the few places to eat in this area. I can make a better sandwich myself, and I suck at sandwiches!

I went back there again… to see if they were as bad as I thought… The vegetarian sandwich I ordered was better made, much closer to looking the advertised picture and then did not gruff when I asked for more tomatoes. Now the bad news… instead of the usual 5:00 it was 5:7515% higher priced than everywhere else !!! Egads…do not go here if you have any choice ! Previous review. This place has to be the worst Subway ever. The place scrimps too much on the serving. I ordered a Veggie Delight there the other day and asked for spinach on it. The lady put on 6 pieces of spinach and I asked her to add more. When I got to the cashier, he mentioned to the lady who made my sandwich that she was only supposed to use 6 pieces of spinach. Come on you guys. You have a picture of the sandwich on the menu, make one that at least looks close to it ! Read the other reviews, they mention similar things !

It’s a Subway which means they put on about as much meat as it takes to flavor the bread. I’ll admit they do a pretty good job catering to the large lunch crowd but if you’re looking for a REAL deli sandwich then down to Roxie’s on 33rd& C. It’s a bit of distance from 3rd& Q but these guys are the real sandwich artists and make the best goddamn sandwich in town.

Nice, new, clean facility. I only go before noon because the line gets so long it would make me late from lunch(I get 30 minutes). I am small so all I eat are the 4 inch kids size sammy. They run a scam here where you can’t just purchase the sandwich, you have to buy the meal(add Apples and milk) for $ 5. I go to subway often, this is more expensive than other subways. Either way, I buy the meal and save the milk & apples for later. On a couple occasions they were out of apples and on one occasion the apples were brown and rotten. Overall, the food is fine but they lack consistency. Some of the kids that work there are heavy handed, some will barely put anything on your bread. Either way, it’s a healthier lunch option so I’ll surely return.

Gotta love their veggie sandwich! Great service, though they do get slammed during lunch hour so expect to wait in line for about 20 minutes! :)

Of course the place is packed at lunch everyday considering the lack of eateries if you work in this area. Having said that, one would expect that the owner would stock items accordingly. Sometimes they’re out of a particular bread flavor and all the time you basically have to beg for portions of veggies on your sammich. Except lettuce of course. That gets piled high. Then, depending on the young person, when you beg for more tomatoes, more than 4 olives on a footlong or more than 2 cucumber pieces(yes on a footlong), they’re rolling their eyes at you and pushing you to tell ‘em what else you want. I agree the lady and the bread guy are super nice but stop being so cheap with everything and train staff to be more polite. But then again you don’t go to certain places expecting good customer service.
